Posted .Hi - This is not the consumer experience we would expect to hear and are sorry you are not happy with the cooling performance provided by this air conditioner. If you have been using this unit on the ECO model, try setting the unit on Cool instead. This air conditioner is designed to provide cooling down to 64 degrees F. If the room is very hot initially, it will take longer to cool the room to your desired temperature setting. Heat is also stored up in walls, furniture, rugs and draperies, which will increase the time it takes to cool the room to a comfortable temperature. Whenever possible, turn the air conditioner on before the room becomes too hot. If these suggestions do not improve the cooling performance please review the warranty information found on Page 17 of your Owner's Manual. We do hope this helps. Vikki@GEA

I hope the fan being noisy isn't a sign of an upcoming problem with the air conditioner. If it doesn't turn into a problem I'll put up with the noise.
