    Poor output of cold air! Also, the vents only move side to side, not up and down.

    Small size - weak cooling

    Smaller in size than every other air-conditioner I've had. Unfortunately its smaller size provides less cooling, even though its a 6k btu. I replaced an older 6k AC with this one and the room barely chills. I have a box fan attempting to circulate the air. The unit is in the side end of the room which this AC cannot circulate the air enough. If this is also your case, avoiding this tiny unit will save you headaches.

    Auto feature stopped working.

    Unit was working wonders when I first started using it. A couple weeks in and the auto feature just stopped. Went into the room and it was 80 in there despite the unit being on 71. If you reset the unit it will come on but it will turn off before it gets to the temperature you set it on.

If your unit is less than a year old, we suggest taking advantage of the warranty listed on page 17 of your owner's manual.     It's decent at cooling but a little loud. For the price point your gonna have to compromise something.

    I love GE products and I trust best buy, unfortunately the ac I received did not work. I'm sure if I made an exchange it would of worked but I didn't want to go through the hassle especially since I bought in online and had to re package to return at the store. Thankfully it was an easy exchange, but a waste of time.

    Does not cool the room

    Does not cool down a 100 sq ft room. My previous unit was smaller and would make the room freezing. This unit set at the lowest setting, which is 64, feels more like 68°constantly running it. I am looking into returning it tomorrow.

    Makes a LOT OF NOISE? Returned the other one for the bedroom. Thought Best Buy was a good buy? Why does this A/c cause so much noise? Asked salesperson .. no reply? Regret I purchased

    Upon first startup made a godawful grinding noise. Sounded like the fan was jammed against the radiator. No obvious external defects on unit or box. Took it back, was not impressed.

    The air conditioner unit did not keep my 250 Sq ft cool . I will probably buy a unit that puts out more BTUs.

    Stopped working in less than two weeks...

    I had this air conditioner less than a two weeks and it stopped working suddenly. There was a loud clanging sound and then it went quiet. No warning, and no apparent reason. I work a lot, and the a.c. quit on Sunday night, so I figured I could return it the following weekend. I had to call Best Buy because online support was pretty much non-existent. They informed me I was too late for my 14 day return period (which I wasn't aware of). I agreed to an in-store credit, but luckily they refunded me the full amount I paid to my debit card. (By accident?) I was not happy that the thermostat never seemed to operate correctly. It would either make it 3 degrees colder than you set it, or not turn on until it was 3 degrees over the temp. you set it at. It was also kind of loud and the water sloshing in it made an odd noise. It did get the room cool, though.

      Hello and thank you for reaching out. We are very sorry to hear about the issues with your air conditioner and would like to provide some tips to resolve these problems. First, we recommend making sure the unit is firmly secured to the window frame as this is the main cause for noise on an air conditioner. Vibration of the unit is the main source of sound. To help cool, make sure the unit is properly sized for the room, the filter is kept clean, and all windows and doors are kept closed.     The refrigeration time is too slow, and then I bought another 350 Sq. Ft. 8000BTU, which is cold

    This air conditioner is nothing special. I didn't realize that if I loose the remote or it breaks, I won't be able to adjust the speed or the mode. American products are definitely not built as good as they used to be. You really have to be careful what you buy. And the reviews sometimes confuse you.

    Ice flying in the house

     I bought this unit and it wasn’t getting cold enough. All of a sudden ice started flying inside my house. It’s been working better since that happened and the ice haven’t came back but still looking and waiting for an issue.

      Hey there, and thanks for taking the time to reach out to us. We hate to hear you are dissatisfied with the sound level of the air conditioner and that you feel it's not powerful enough. We know any concerns like this may be an inconvenience and would like to address them. This air conditioner is meant to have a sound level of 57 to 61 dBAs, right around the level of moderate rainfall. We try to provide as quiet a cooling experience as possible, and will certainly share your feedback that the noise level is too high with our Air Conditioner Design team. This unit also has 6000 BTUs of cooling power and is meant to cool a room of 150 to 250 square feet. If your room is within that size and not cooling to your desired temperature, you may want to make sure the air filter is clean and there are no obstructions blocking the airflow to the unit. There are other troubleshooting steps regarding cooling in the manual, and if needed our service department can be contacted at 1-800-432-2737.
