      Hi - We are so very sorry to hear about the difficulty you are having with your GE air conditioner. This is not the consumer experience we want for you or to hear about on any GE appliance. We can certainly understand the inconvenience this has caused you. If you have not already done so, please try running the unit on the Cool mode as opposed to Eco mode and see if that improves the cooling performance. If you continue to have difficulty, please refer to Page 17 of the owner's manual for information regarding your one year warranty and how to have the unit exchanged during the warranty period.     It worked for awhile i stopped using it in december and i plugged it in now but the buttons wont work to turn it on they only work if i reset but then i cant change the tempature hasnt even been a year

    This did not work for a 250 square foot room. It might have for a 150 square foot room. Half the time it wasn’t even blowing cold air.

    Not even worth the money works ok when it does want to work but otherwise feels like it doesn't cool down the room. I have a small room but doesnt help cool it down much.

    I had two horrible experiences with this AC Unit

    I purchased two of these units. The first unit was damaged (had a huge dent in the back of the unit) The second unit did not blow cool air out of the right side. Based on my experiences, I likely would not purchase another AC unit from Best Buy

    Blew cool but not cold air when first installed. Quit working all together after 10 days use. Shut off and when reset button was pushed would reset for one second and quit again

      Hi there, we're very sorry to hear your air conditioner isn't cooling as it should. We know how frustrating this must be, so we suggest the following tips: 1) Make sure the air conditioner is properly sized for the room. 2) Check outdoor temperatures. Operating a room air conditioner if the outdoor temp is 70F or below will limit the cooling capacity of the unit. 3) Consider the temperature of the room when the air conditioner was first turned on. If the room was very hot it will take longer to cool the room. When heat is stored up in walls, furniture, rugs and draperies, it will take longer to cool the room down. Whenever possible, turn the air conditioner on before the room heats up. 4) Check the thermostat setting. The highest setting will provide maximum cooling.     Very loud fan even in the low speed, only goes down to 64 degrees so it takes so long to cool the room. Since I bough it I have used it like 3 times and now I'm pass the return period for just 4 days so now I'm stuck with the unit.

    Really warms down the room. I know the saying is “cools down” the room but unfortunately it only makes my small room tolerable- mild upgrade from the unbearable heat. I want to be so cold I can sleep in sweats under a down blanket on a 100 day- is that too much to ask

This unit is designed to cool a properly sized room down as low as 64 degrees F.
