My unit never worked as well as previous air conditioners I've had and after one year it has stopped working. Troubleshooting instructions were unfortunately not helpful.

To give you a quick description of my setup - my room is about 12x15 and it doesn't cool well with the number of hours it is in direct sunlight. This GE A/C is a great way to introduce nice cool air without an overbearing fan and compressor sound in your room. You can sleep with this thing on and not have any problems; it runs quiet. This is built nicely and it is very clean and white! After about 10-12mins, my room is completely where I want it. It is a nice supplement to my HVAC system that struggles to cool the room under the current conditions.
Installation was as easy as putting it in the window, plugging it in, and setting temp and fan speed. There is a remote which is a cool so you don't have to get up to make changes manually. The 5 buttons on the remote can control temp/time, power, mode, speed, and delay. Turn on your ceiling van and you have a nice setup! It fits easily in most windows and runs REALLY quite compared to other A/Cs I have in the past. ENERGY STAR rating sticker has printed Estimated Yearly Energy Cost of $53 with Combined Energy Efficiency Ratio of 11.1.
In all, I recommend this unit to anyone looking to cool a small space under 250/sqft!

This air conditioner only worked for about 3 weeks just long enough to be nonreturnable! Very disappointing. Luckily I bought the geek squad two-year protection.

The first couple of times that I used it the ac cooled the room perfectly. After that it seemed to take forever to cool down the room but it didn’t seem as cold as before.

Its not what I was expecting now there is a red light come on that is constantly blinking none stop and I can’t get it off I will not introduce anyone to buy this AC .

Hey there, we regret to hear you're not completely satisfied with your air conditioner. We know it must be very disappointing for it to not cool your room as well as you expect. This model is designed to cool a 250 square foot room, but there are some additional factors that go into how well an air conditioner can cool. These factors include how many people are in the room, whether the room is in direct sunlight, and if the room is a kitchen. If the room is occupied by more than two people you should increase the BTU amount by 600, if the room is sunny, increase by 10%, and if the room is a kitchen, you should increase the BTU by 4000.
