It looks very nice in my window. The only thing I would have liked to be able to do is move the vents up and down where the cool air comes out. I can only move it side to side.

When I turned on my new GE window air conditioner for the first time, the room was nicely chilled in half an hour. I had it set for 72 degrees. IT works efficiently and quietly. It is not my first G E air conditioner, my large bedroom also has a General Electric air conditioner.

AC works as expected, but needs better instruction
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The product works well but the installation instructions assumed a certain kind of window construction that isn't always there. Hence some of the fastening screws and brackets were useless. The product webpage and installation instructions and video that are shown prior to purchase must be more detailed. Also, a safety caveat about not touching the back of the AC which has razor sharp metal must be mentioned in the installation booklet. I had multiple bleeding cuts from holding the back of the AC. This operation needs gloves or bare handling without touching the back of the product. This should be explicitly mentioned.
