The A/C has started to make a noise like a bearing in the fan is going out..squeak squeak..and after only 50 hours or so..not happy with that..it cools ok but I'm worried it's going to stop working and I paid $150 to have it installed..

We bought this ac for my son’s small bedroom. For over a year now it has worked very well, Zero complaints. It keeps him cool, and requires no maintenance. Other than the filter needing to be cleaned, which is very easy and straight to the point. Very happy with our purchase, and thinking of buying another one for my work shop.! Would recommend!

This GE AC is exactly as described. It's well-made, has no rattles or strange noises, and easily keeps my 210 sq ft bedroom comfortably cool. The remote is small, comes with a battery installed and works well. The unit sounds pretty quiet to me, especially on the low fan setting. I decided to test the noise levels with a decibel meter app on my phone. Here are the results: No AC: 33 dB AC Low Fan: 48 dB at 3'. 43 dB at 10'. AC Med Fan: 51 dB at 3'. 44 dB at 10'. AC High Fan: 53 dB at 3'. 45 dB at 10'

Easy to install and operate, remote control is a plus. works well in studio space. We are contemplating getting another to replace an older one in out home.

Remote control is definitely nice to have. HOwever, this is a bit loud to me. However, the key thing is that it fits in a VERY small window. I trimmed the "gusset" bracket thingie to that it fit in my window, which had just like a half-inch or so of space left-to-right in which to fit.

Priced right, correct size, and available immediately. The unit is quiet and very efficient and works great. Easy to put in and out of window.

It is an effective air cooling machine and it isn't overly loud, but it will produce a white noise ambience.

I keep it set at 72 and it runs nicely. I havent had any issues as of yet. As far as noise level its a 3 out of 10 on the good scale meaning its not annoying loud. Its about the same noise level as a box fan. I will say I use a box fan to help push the air down the hallway. Without the fan it keeps 3 rooms cool. For 5 rooms in total singlewide trailer it has kept it comfortable. I love that it has the eco setting and cuts on automatically. My only reason for a "Good" rating in Quality is : nothing is made the same anymore.

The unit is keeping my area cool. At 89 degrees F outdoor temperature, I am maintaining 78 degrees F without any trouble, an 11 degree difference cooling 300 square feet of floor space or 2400 cubic feet of living area. Very pleased thus far although hasn't been extremely hot above 95 degrees while maintaining approximately 65% RH.

Works great, easily installed. Love the remote best

Setup was a little annoying as its designed for a window that closes from the top down not from side to side. Other than that works pretty good and cools down a small room pretty quick.

This air conditioner cools our room in only 2-3 minutes. It works so fast and effectively. I love that it has a remote for easy turn on/off.

This is a great little window unit. We use it to cool down our bedroom in the heat of Texas summer. It is more efficient then running our central air turned down at night. Excellent features and a number of settings.
