Installation can take extra engineering, in older house with new windows, to safely and tightly install depending on window style that instructions give only two examples of. If you aren’t mechanically adept have the unit installed.

My house has central A/C, but I like to keep my bedroom extra chilly, so I use a window unit. To get my room down to around 67°F, I have to set this to it's lowest setpoint, which is 64°F. So the thermocouple in this thing is off for starters. Another nit-pick is that every time you turn it on, it defaults to the "Eco" setting, instead of defaulting to the last used mode. So every time I turn it on, I have to cycle through the modes until I get to "cool." Not a deal breaker, but just overall annoying.
