We were building a house so I did not need it for a while. When everything was ready 7 months later and we were able to use it, it would not turn on. After speaking with nest they told us to return it to best buy. Best buy refused the return, so I had to buy another thermostat. I went ahead and bought a nest again and this one worked. I like the thermostat, don't like best buys 14 day return policy. I would purchase this product somewhere else. I would recommend the product to a friend, not purchasing at best buy though.

Posted .We apologize for your experience with the Nest Thermostat, as well as your experience with Nest support. We would only refer customers to the place of purchase if they wanted a refund. Our products do come with a two year warranty. While we wouldn’t be able to provide a refund in this case, any customer can contact us and we’d be able to replace a faulty unit that’s still under warranty by sending a replacement.
Does work with 2 wires
