After that, the system kept disconnecting. I had to reach out to the Nest team and they told me I'd have to have a common wire installed in order for it to operate correctly. They connected me with a technician and it was installed the next day. The product works like new again.

We think that there is a problem with my wiring configuration so I had to return it for now and will have my system checked out by an A/C specialist. Therefore I cannot rate it at this time but it is making me do a rating before I leave this screen so that said I can't give a high rating. They should have a no rating option.

I reinstalled the old smart thermostat this was supposed to replace and everything worked fine. I do not recommend this product at all.

For example if it is set to 68 degrees the heat won’t turn on until below 66 degrees and then it will turn off until above 70 degrees. I returned the unit.
