Love this product. Easy installation and easy to use

This nest is the worst. I change like two times because not work property

Installation was simple and straight forward. The unit & Nest App work seamlessly. High quality construction. I'm glad that I did not go with the Nest 4th Gen which has plastic housing. The only negative thing is that you should be able to turn on the FAN without having the system on. In order to run the FAN, your Nest has to be in either "Heat" or "Cool" or "Heat-Cool" mode.

These thermostats are amazing at learning your personal habits and will build up a history the more you use it. Checking on your settings while being away from home gives you great peace of mind that you have left the A/C running at the right temperature. And turn it on to the proper setting before you get back is very convenient, specially during the hot summer.

Installation was really easy. I love being able to control my thermostat using my phone.

Awesome. One word to sum it up. I have had a 2nd generation Nest since fall 2012. It has worked flawless since it has been installed. I just ordered the 3rd generation yesterday and had it overnighted and got done swapping it out about an hour ago. The process took about 20 minutes to complete. There is very little difference between the 2nd and 3rd generation units. The baseplates are almost identical. The form factor of the 3rd generation is slightly larger but the display is much larger and easier to read. I believe Nest indicated a 40% increase in display size over the 2nd generation. I upgraded even though there is not much different because it has newer hardware and it should better integrate with the seven 2nd generation Nest Protects I am going to install this weekend because it also has the same low power blue tooth transmitter in it that the 2nd generation protects have. The 2nd generation thermostat does not have this in it. All in all, I highly recommend this thermostat regardless of what the nasayers state. I think those with problems are those who do not install a dedicated common power wire from the furnace 24 volt transformer to power it. Prior to installing my old 2nd generation Nest, I pulled new wire so I could have a dedication common from the getgo. Do this and it should solve many potential headaches resulting from low battery symptoms and the possibility of burning up or wreaking havoc on your furnace components with how a non-dedicated common stat such as this tries to steal power to charge the battery from the heating wire when the furnace is idol.

Lousy support by nest. Don't buy. Needs more than what is sold

I bought this to replace a heating only thermostat. Works with my boiler which only has two wires running to thermostat. Allows for heater control using app (schedule) and learning. I don’t think the learning is really worth it for me since the thermostat location is in a room which is not used. Not sure whether a remote temp sensor would help with that or not. Rating 5 star since it works with 2 wire boiler. I also qualified for a 50 dollar rebate from my electric company. If you buy it when it’s on sale and can get a rebate, the cost is not too bad.

Works as advertised. Outstanding product. Easy to set up!!! Very easy to use on your phone to control your thermostat at home even though you may be 15 miles away it works fantastic.

My son got locked out of the house on a 95 degree day during my teenage daughter's xbox marathon. He knocked and knocked and finally had to call my husband. My husband called and texted our teen who did not answer. My husband's brilliant solution was to turn on the heat remotely. Self absorbed teen called dad to complain about the heat! Hahaha And that's how the Nest unlocks doors! ;)

I have used a few different thermostats and this is by far the best. It is intuitive, and by far the cleanest install and look. Its also not over complicated when set temperature. If you are tech savvy the app is also unbeatable.

We've had the nest thermostat for around two months now. It's hooked up to the ac, furnace and humidifier. It's working great and was easy to install. The app is seamless and all the controls are great. Love this product.

My neighbors had one in their house and bragged about it. I finally bought one. I have only had a for a few days, but I am impressed so far. My furnace does not kick on and off constantly any more. I like that. The house seems to stay plenty warm. Installation was a breeze. I was impressed at how easy it is to install. I definitely would recommend the Nest to anyone.

I've spent probably 50 hours on the phone with Nest Google tech support and they've been patient but very frustrating to go through their unnecessarily tedious process with non-native English-speaking tech-support only to discover that Xfinity Comcast Wi-Fi does not connect with Google Nest thermostats. You can look up Xfinity Comcast compatible devices and then search by thermostat and you will see that Nest is not included. Very unfortunate! Took me WAY too long to figure this out (no thanks to Google Nest or Xfinity Comcast) and I wish way more publicity was given about this because I wasted soooo much time!

Not for the birds! Like all Nest products, they keep making the Nest Thermostat better through software updates. They keep coming up with ways to make things even more thoughtful. Love this product and recommend to anyone.
