Had a Ring Doorbell for years and it was great, but seeing we also had a Nest Camera subscription it made sense to make the switch. Extremely easy to install, and even though it's a battery model, I did end up powering it thru our existing doorbell/transformer wiring. Works great with Alexa and it compliments our existing Nest environment nicely.

This was a replacement. It works perfectly. Easy to add in my apps.

Good quality camera. My Google Home tells me when someone rings the doorbell. BUT!!! I get absolutely no notifications on my phone when I'm away, which is when I need to know. I've looked through all the "helps" and I believe turned on all notifications in my Google Home and Nest Apps. So very frustrated that this feature will not work

Does the job nicely. No major complaints. It does trip alert on every car coming by our shared driveway. I tied the doorbell press to announcement on our Google mini speakers, which give the 'Somebody is at the door' announcement broad coverage in our multi-floor house, in addition to an alert on our phones. I need to get into the habit of regular recharging, rather than waiting for the battery to go dead. Dead battery - no doorbell.

High quality build. Excellent video quality. Super easy install and setup with Google Home App. Real-time notifications are instant and no lag like with older Nest one. Some complain there's no 24/7 live recording, but I question one needs that. Google announced a 24/7 one coming early next year, but honestly I don't think most people will need that. You just need to capture when an event occurs. The app allows you to set activity zones and what type of activity you want to capture like people, animals, vehicles, etc. Not sure people realize the amount of data and bandwidth used when you have 24/7 recording. In comparison to other cameras like the older Nest one, and ring, this one to me is better all around.

I love this. This is my second Nest Video Doorbell, added this one to my back door. Super easy to install. Catches a broad area.

I love this battery doorbell. For one, I love that it doesn’t record 24/7…yes I’m the oddball who sees that s as a benefit. I actually prefer this because of the amount of bandwidth that 24 hour recording and uploading to the cloud takes. At one point I had 4 Nest flood light cams and the Nest wired doorbell version. Long story short, between my old WiFi based smart lights (Lifx) and the security cameras, my WiFi literally slowed to a snail’s pace. So I ended up getting rid of everything-including the wired doorbell and switched to this one. I switched to new smart lighting (you know the expensive one that requires a hub and uses the Zigbee protocol?). Just like the wired version-it has been very reliable-and I get very few false alarms. I use the Starling hub and can seamlessly access the doorbell using HomeKit with a few limitations. Maybe one day it’ll be Matter certified . So now between my HomePods and my google hubs, my doorbell rings all over the house! I replaced my security cameras with another brand that requires a home base, but has a built in solar panel. My only drawback with Google nest doorbells are that they still uses WiFi, but I’m getting blazing speeds since trashing a lot of old WiFi hogs in my house.

I love my Google nest!!! Makes me feel safe and secure. It works super well and upholds the weather extremes from Texas heat to Colorado cold. Would buy again and recommend!!

Nice quality doorbell camera, has a pretty wide range. The battery life on my first run was only about 12 days, so that will require some maintenance/upkeep. But worth it!

Good pic quality, even at night. I changed my night settings to normal instead of night vision and turn on the porch lite. Quality is really better than expected. Speaker could be louder, but still, it’s decent quality. Interfaces with Google Home app and works fine, but sometimes it’s a little slow to connect. Don’t let that deter you. Detection is good and consistent. I hardwired mine to the doorbell and everything worked from the start. It keeps a history of recorded events rolling back 3 hours. You pay for a subscription to get more if you want. I’m pleased with the purchase. It did everything expected and I would recommend it.

Installs easy works well if you have no wiring as the battery keeps it operational I did not wire to my bell as I didn’t have enough room to mount it where the doorbell button is located I did however wire it to permanent power and use it solely as a camera There are limitations of the app even with the aware subscription if you can wire it go for the wired version

Amazing doorbell. A huge Upgrade from the doorbell that was provided by my alarm company. Video is high quality and very easy to install. Works perfectly Google Home app.

We've been using this Nest Doorbell for 8 months and it's worked really well so far. The camera quality is quite good and with an additional mount to increase the angle, we have full coverage of our front porch. Wired installation was easy (much more than the older model that required installing a part in the chime box). It has only missed notifying about one small package drop off that I'm aware of which is pretty good. With the Nest subscription it now recognizes our family members when the are approaching and gives us the longer event history. Definitely a nice security upgrade :)!
