This was a great addition to my mancave. This give me th movie theater experience. You can also set moods. And have it work to your music.

App control only gets a little messy but other than that it adds a nice feature to overall viewing!

Super responsive lights, easy setup. Does not work with built in apps must use an external media player. Also functions as a switch box for all your hdmi devices

It definitely changed my room to a better vibe with the hidden led lights behind the tv compared to just seeing the strips on the corner of the ceilings. App works wonderfully so far and I couldn’t resist purchasing another govee ceiling lights for my living room.

So cool, definitely elevates the vibe of our living room! Only downside is it only lights up with output from the gaming console, so if you want to watch something like Netflix with the lights on then it needs to be watched in the Netflix app on your console. Also we have a Sonos soundbar that goes through it, and the quality is the same but it’s much quieter with the box so we just have to turn up the volume more than we used to

Well, worth the money very accurate display easy to set up just stick to the TV and plug it in and connect the HDMI cables The app is also very easy to navigate.

Since this is an hdmi sync box there is no need for a camera like other brand ones. I got this for my living room tv and with a soundbar sub combo. A Light show improves the movie home theater experience immersing me into the content. If you have a dark room I highly recommend trying it out.

solid addition to your entertament system especialy if you already use govee products

Very easy to install and get setup with the goovee app. Colors look amazing and syncs really well. I love that this supports hdmi 2.1. My current TV had only 1 so its nice that I can have my xbox, ps5, switch , and pc plugged in at the same time.

Took me awhile to figure out exactly how to get this to work with my Denon AVR, but was worth every penny. Dreamview light transitions are flawless!

Used on a Sony A8H, strictly used for entertainment, doesn’t have VRR and maxes out at 4K 60hz so I can’t comment on the functionality of those. (Side note, little upset there is no display port option for the “monitor” version of this though, and it is limited to only 4K 144hz with hdmi so it is not an option for a high end PC) Overall, this is much better than the T2 camera version of the tv backlight. After some calibration colors are spot on, locations are pretty fast and accurate. Black bar removal button really does help with movies that have horizontal bars on the top/bottom which was my biggest worry. I’d recommend it. Con’s: the device that all your cables plug into is big and ugly, but have found a few times when needing to gain access to it for resetting it or changing ports when it doesn’t work in the app, it’s enough of an annoyance that I can’t give it 5 stars. Maybe software updates will fix that.

I hooked this up to my 65” TV, and the lighting effects add a lot of atmosphere. Games and movies feel more immersive, especially with colors extending beyond the screen. Setup was fairly simple, though I had to spend time calibrating to get the best color accuracy. Brightness is solid in darker rooms but can get washed out during the day with lots of sunlight. Also, while the app gives you good control, it can feel a bit clunky at times. Bottom line: If you love cinematic movie nights or gaming with ambiance, this kit is worth it. Just plan on tweaking settings to your liking. Side note: none did or has ever been able to do it better then the OG DreamScreen. If you know, you know.

Not a super easy step up to figure out but once you get everything figured out it works great! If you have multiple consoles to hook up just know you will need to know which input is which when switching. Lights work great, some scenes have off colors but not too distracting.

I bought the Govee TV backlight T1 over year ago for my den TV. My wife wanted one for living room TV, I decided to try the Govee Sync Box 2. We love it, not sure if we love it better than the T1 as far as back lighting, but it is just as good but with the benefit of being HDMI switch box too. Now I only have to run one HDMI cable through the wall to my TV. Now reason why we have it only 4 stars. The sync box does away switch inputs automatically. The only way to switch inputs is on the box itself or through the Govee app. Thank goodness I had a 6 button Govee Remote for the lights in the living room. So programmed three of the buttons for different inputs; PS5, Apple TV and Mac Mini. Govee if you’re reading this, add an remote to your package

Wish the color changing was smoother and i wish i didnt have to use the app to change the type of effect i want. I still like the lights tho.

I really wanted to like these. They look great in colorful, bright, scenic movies/games. However, once you start using these in movies that have darker scenes, they look pretty awful. in darker scenes, they LEDs don't seem to know what to display sometimes which makes them flicker between colors rapidly. This becomes very distracting. Also, the LEDs aren't always accurate, for example, they light up green when showing greys in that area. This inaccuracy completely takes away from the immersion. Other than that, I really like that there is no camera for a cleaner setup, the app works well and is responsive, and the lights in movies/games that are bright and colorful look amazing. Unfortunately, due to the problems mentioned above, I do not think this is worth the price so I will be returning these.

This one had no defects and worked pretty well. I just preferred the camera Govee than the AI box just own personal opinion. I felt like the lighting was better

At first i was skeptical due to the price but it’s definitely worth it. Its makes movies and gaming immersive

YOU CAN EITHER HAVE DOLBY VISION OR 4k/120hz working on ur Sony TV using this sync box. I have a sony A95L master series TV and its such a headache to keep switxhing when i need VRR 4k/120hz for gaming and dolby vision for my apple tv content . Terrible .
