No lifespan and horrible customer service

bought the 252 3 years ago. It stopped working a year ago when it was barely used. Finally got the time to spend over an hour on hold with customer service (hp, not Best Buy) for them to tell me to buy a new one because they can’t fix it. I haven’t even used it long enough to buy a new ink cartridge. HP support is horrendous. Don’t waste your money.

      Hey Heidi,

I'm so sorry for the disappointing experience you've had with both the printer and support. It's very upsetting that, despite reaching support, you weren't provided with more information or options for troubleshooting. It's always our intention to provide both a reliable experience in regards to both our printers and support, so I really regret that we fell short this time. I understand how inconvenient this must be, however, so I'd really like to see what I can do to help.

First, a helpful option to explore is our 'HP Print and Scan Doctor' general diagnostic tool. If you're a Windows user, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning issues. You can find a download available at this link: support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03286146

If this doesn't provide a resolution, I do want to assure you that we have other post-warranty support options for you. One you might consider is posting the details of this issue on our support forums. There's an active community of seasoned experts that would be more than happy to work with you to get your printer running as it should be. I hope this helps and again, my sincerest apologies.
