I previously had an HP inkjet printer and a monochrome laser printer. I wanted to free up some desk space in my home office and decided to consolidate. I purchased the HP Color LaserJet Pro M283fdw. I've been using it for a couple week and it's one of the best, lower priced color laser printers on the market. The print quality is good, especially for every day printing. The toner cartridges appear to not be over priced. I hope to have this one for a while. One of the things HP does best is printing.

I switched to a laser printer due to issues with water-based ink. I am very pleased with this printer. Was told this type of printer was more suitable for small business as oppose to personal use but not true. I appreciate that the printing quality does not get worse if you happen to print less. I had quality issues with water-based ink when I go a couple months without printing, which forces you to replace the cartridge sooner than expected. With powdered ink, you do not worry about that issue, which has not been the issue with me so far. Happy that I made the transition to a laser printer. Love this printer! Recommend if you want to get away from water-based ink and if paying a higher price for a printer isn't an issue.

My laser printer is a dream come true. Easily set up, easy to use. I printer in color immediately. Uncomplicated, I’m a fan!

I only gave this 4 stars, because HP (somewhat more than others) really push their updates, which lock the printer to their cartridges. Other than that, LaserJet is still the easiest, fastest, and best quality printer, in my humble opinion, and I've only been doing IT for 40 years. I especially like the 283 for the duplex scan and print, and the cost for the printer and replacement cartridges and still lower than most.

Works great. B/W print-outs are great, color good for the money. Wireless works seamlessly. Double-sided printing is absolutey fantastic.

Very satisfied with my purchase. Easy to install, easy to print from iPad, phone, laptop and desktop computers from anywhere in the house. The print quality is excellent as is the quality of scanned pictures and documents. Very quiet printer.

The printer was very quick to install and connects easily to my phone or computer. I am able to scan documents and have them go to my One Drive to access on my phone or computer! And the printing quality is excellent!!

I have this of my home WiFi and it's absolutely rock solid. I read reviews that people had a hard time printing and had to reboot windows to get the print spooler to work. But not encountered the problem. Simple WiFi connect and configure it to use static address for the printer. An easy way to figure out which IP you need to do that for is to go to the printer, click on the network configuration menu and take note of the IP address. Go to your router and configure the router to always assign that IP address to the printer. If needed clean out any pending print jobs, reboot and you're done.

I have always had an inkjet printer in years past.... A new world of crisp bold printing has awaken. I know that the toner cartridges are a bit more expensive (the reason I have put this purchase on hold before) but the output really does make up the difference. Red looks red instead of bright orange, and blacks are more black than ever. If you can afford to upgrade I strongly suggest this printer.

I am very glad I purchased this printer. It was easy to set up. I am able to print from my iPhone, iPad, and laptop. I spent a little more than planned but so far it has been worth it. I have also used the copy and scan options.

This is our home office and family printer. We love the quality of the printing. I do recommend getting the service plan via Geek Squad. Ours died after 10 months, but was replaced without additional cost. We are hoping for better luck with the next one. It is expensive and the ink is expensive. We originally bought it, because during the pandemic it was the only printer we could get in a day at the store. Previous to this we had an Epson Workforce, which was very reliable. But times change, ink prices rise and anything with so many moving parts and electronics is a crap shoot. For now, we are enjoying using this printer a lot and hope it lasts longer than the last one. BTW we did have an opportunity for a refund to use on any other printer at Best Buy, but still chose this.

Color prints out clear and vivid. Easy to use and setup. Great for printing text and photos.

I used another brand of laser/color printer which worked "OK" for many years. When it suddenly began to add far too much GREEN to my pictures, I decided against fixing, new toner, etc .Checked all the reviews and decided on one of the BEST. I gave it one test when I got it home. I had it copy a very sharp 8-1/2 x 11 photograph with lots of color. IT WAS AMAZING! You have to really strain to see the difference.. I'mSOLD!!!

Great home office printer for light duty printing. Easy to set up, easy to use and quality is great. The price of printer cartridges are quite expensive, so making color copies is expensive. Overall a nice printer.

Excellent quality prints. Easy set-up...however during the first couple of days I had trouble keeping it connected to my wifi network. After a little tinkering, it has been connected for weeks without interruption.
