This printed replaced my old Office Jet Pro 8600. The dimensions are slightly smaller than my old printer, but still takes up a good chunk of space on my home office desk. The set up is fairly easy and the hp app can be used. I did have problems with the unit freezing up when not used for some time and it has to be reset or unplugged. Works fine if used regularly.

I consider myself fairly "tech savvy", but it took me 3 hours to get the printer working on my home network. This included a long phone call to BestBuy support who did solve the problem successfully. Now all the functions work well. So i would give just 1 star for ease of setup. but 5 stars for subsequent performance

Easy to set up. The phone app adds functionally on the fly to send/ receive files back and forth on phone. Love it.
Not the smallest printer so be aware of space constraints. It's not bad though. Print quality is great. Print speed is more than adequate. Scan works as it should. With the phone app was able to send to phone with no issues. Have not made any copies yet.

The printer performs exactly as described. Printing for home use is quick and the colors are bright. The printer is not as loud as some commenters report - it's about the same as the 7+ year old HP printer we just replaced.

This printer was very easy to set up and seems to always work though it is not used everyday and may go a week without being called on to print from my iPhone. Anytime I need it it easily prints pages right out.
Best and easiest WiFi printer I have ever had!

Instructions to hook up. This printer are very poor and in accurate. You do not need to download the HP drivers for Bluetooth. The security system or help that using the QR code messed up my computer. It took several weeks to correct and remove unnecessary processes that they applied to the computer. Otherwise, the printer works fairly well. The printer is very noisy when operating.

The printer has the functionality we were looking for. However, I've had to engage with Geek Squad twice due to issues between the printer and desktop. I'm still not able to print from my phone or Ipad (which should not be an issue).

I really like HP products but this is the first one I am not totally satisfied with. It is louder than most HP printers I have had and it is slow to receive and start a print job. Overall, it is a good printer, though.

Not plug and play for sure. After scanning QR code for installation, directions online don’t correspond with printer screen and printer software doesn’t load. HP download page lists 9120e driver, not 9125e. Had to contact Geek Squad to get printer to work and they couldn’t get it to work. Geek squad took control of my computer and confirmed nothing was wrong with my equipment. Took printer back and got another, same problem. Took that one back to get yet another and kind of got that one working with Geek Squad help again. Loses WiFi connection. Every day have to turn off then turn on WiFi. Not happy about the whole situation. My old WiFi printer worked fine until the ink cartridge's went bad. Should have spent the $110 for the replacement cartridge even though it was a 10-year old printer. Kicking myself for tossing out the old printer before I got the new one working. Had I kept the old printer, I would return this new printer and repaired the old one.
Another issue, the touchscreen on printer has such small keyboard icons that it is impossible not to fat finger. My wife needs fax for her work and can’t type in the phone numbers. Always tapping and deleting trying to key in correct numbers with no success. With technology supposedly getting better, why is everything getting harder to use? Never had problems like this with a printer.

I thought this printer was flimsy compared to the HP 8600 that I was replacing but I’m pleasantly surprised. It prints fast enough and is easy to use except that it lacks the ability to switch from 1 sided to 2 sided and the other choices without going through several steps.
And other functions perhaps because the menu screen is small. But it’s fine once getting used to it.
Haven’t tried printing photos yet. The paper tray is flimsy for sure but I was able to print legal size sheets.

Purchased this printer to replace an old HP printer that had served me really well for nearly ten years. The replacement ink was getting difficult to find and it was starting to sound funny, so it felt like time to replace. Everyone told me not to go with HP again, but I've been HP for years with few issues, so I pushed the button on this printer. Wow, do I regret it.
Setup was awful and continues to be a problem. I might be in the middle of a print and it says the connection was dropped, or it says the printer is offline when it was literally just printing. Constantly have to run back into the room to shut it off and restart it to get it to reconnect - and then send the document to print again. I tried customer service multiple times but it's all chat bots and canned solutions that never worked.
And the app. Ugh. HP encourages all printing through the app. Which does beg the question: how safe is our data when everything we print is funneling through HP systems?
Decided not to go with the ink plan and just purchase my ink as needed. But when the printer ran out of ink nearly right away, and I saw how much the replacement ink was - more than the printer cost - I signed up for the plan. I'm not sure how HP counts pages but it wasn't even a week before they started billing by the page because I supposedly had printed 300 pages already. Maybe so, with all those starts and stops due to the supposed connectivity issues.
Oh, and did I mention the horrible grinding noises that emit from the machine anytime it's asked to do something? It sounds like it's eating itself alive.
The only redeeming factor with this machine is that the ADF does duplex scanning/printing. But that feature alone isn't worth the printing costs and connection headaches, so I'm dumping this nearly brand new printer and going with another brand.
It might be just perfect for someone with different printing needs and more tolerance for the chronic offline issues, but running this thing for just a little home hobby office isn't cost effective at all.
