Ever dream of split screen gaming while on a boring Teams/Zoom call? Then this is your laptop. The RTX 5060 will push the limits of the cooling fan which can get loud, but with the small form factor, I've been impressed! Battery life for work is better than expected and I'm able to get a full 8 hours as it automatically uses onboard Intel Arc video to save power. When the RTX 5060 is in use, you'll get 2 hours max and the fan will run. I was pricing out HP docks, but I've also been able to use my generic 100w USBC dock with dual monitors without any issues. Also the USBC located in the middle-back of the laptop is handy for docking as you don't need the extra cord to wrap around the side (see pic). This is my first HP laptop in 5+ years and if OMEN continues with the quality of this 14 Transcend, I'll keep buying them!

Let's start with the bad:
* The glossy screen is not the best as I prefer a matte display. But if you go with a light theme it will really help things out.
* It gets really loud during gaming but very cool to the touch granted I do not have it on my lap when gaming. The games I have tested were Call of Duty Vanguard (really choppy at times but I have not cranked up the GPU or fan settings yet) and Fallout 4 (looks amazing on my 4k display).
* When you have lid closed it will run unless you put it into Hibernate when the lid is closed but it sucks that I have to do this every time since you can only game when the lid is closed with the sleep setting. (Windows bug and not the laptop itself, wish I could put Linux but it is not mature enough)
Now to the good:
* The clean build quality is definitely for me.
* The keyboard is great. It feels like a mechanical keyboard
* Being able to turn off the GPU makes the laptop a lot quieter during regular use when I do not need the GPU running.(I wish Thinkpads had this feature LOL)
* The performance is great, everything is snappy and I have not noticed any lag. I went with the 5060 because I did not want too much power draw from the GPU so the entry level 5060 is the sweet spot for me plus I am not really a gamer.
* Trackpad is really good too.

“My brand-new laptop’s mousepad stopped working 9 days after the purchase date. Hopefully my Total Tech Protection can fix it. I don’t recommend it for work. I’ve always worked with Lenovo laptops — I liked HP’s keyboard, but since 2015 they’ve had a lot of issues as HP laptops. For heavy work, get a Lenovo, even if the keyboard looks ugly.”

I had an old xps before this and I need a laptop that is portable and small but still has a dedicated GPU for some small tasks. So very few laptops were in my list, the new xps is too underpowered, the g14 is a good one but the new model is very expensive. This laptop is a good middle-ground with good enough performance and small. Display is amazing, keyboard is also very tactile, trackpad is just okay, the fan speed needs to be tweaked better, it comes on in intervals in performance mode. Eco mode is very silent and battery is good enough

This is a great little laptop that really impressed me.
Display: The 3K OLED panel is gorgeous — vibrant colors, deep blacks, and smooth 120Hz refresh make gaming and everyday use a pleasure.
Design & Build: Compact and sleek, with a surprisingly comfortable keyboard and solid speakers that deliver clear sound.
Performance: With the Intel Core Ultra 7-255H, RTX 5060, and 32GB of memory, it handles gaming and multitasking with ease.
Battery Life: Initially just “OK,” but after a BIOS update it’s reportedly phenomenal — 10–12 hours, which is excellent for a gaming laptop.
Overall, the HP OMEN Transcend 14 combines portability, premium visuals, and strong performance. A fantastic option if you want a powerful gaming laptop that doesn’t compromise on design or everyday usability.

Good laptop if you are willing to mess with some settings, great laptop when it is on sale. Here are some of the highlights that sold me on it.
Battery Life- If you want to use it as an all day light duty tasks type of laptop like for school you can switch to integrated graphics only mode and a couple of other settings relatively easily to optimize battery life. I'm able to get around 10 hours of battery life.
Keyboard- I didn't want this laptop initially because of the keyboard lighting however, the settings allow for a plain white backlit keyboard which is better for more professional settings when you don't want your laptop to scream gamer.
Screen - This laptop's screen is one of the best that is out there if you like the OLED type of screens. Doesn't get all that bright so using it outside on a sunny day would be a struggle.
Performance- when I am doing heavy duty tasks it seems to handle it all just fine. Make sure to mess around with settings for performance in the HP OMEN Gaming Hub to get maximum performance.
Overall Build- A lot of reviews said that the chassis was super flexable but I went into bestbuy to see for myself with the display model and I thought differently and think it is fine. If this is a concern for you, I recommend checking out the display model at your local bestbuy. Only major con for me was the trackpad which isn't too bad just not the best but again I recommend checking out the display model.

No, its not gaming laptop. Marketing nonsense aside.
What it is, is a very portable laptop that is perfect for students or professionals who need some GPU acceleration in a very slim and portable package.
A perfect laptop for on the go creators, or doing some light gaming.
The cpu and gpu when in games cannot achieve high TDP at all, due to the limited wattage of the system. IT will outperform an iGPU in gaming of course, but not by a mile or anything.
In pro task such as video editing, this laptop really shines.
Also note, it has akiller screen, but its glossy. so avoid in super bright environments.
Overall a nice laptop

This thing is a beast! Wonderful vibrant colors on light up keys. Keys feel great. Screen just shouts look at me. Gaming is a breeze for this machine. Handles everything that I need it to do. Overload on just college work. Better than most laptops on the market. Choose this one you won’t regret. Thanks Best Buy for carrying this beast. Beautiful piece of work. Only if you can afford it. It can hurt the pocket. Got a dollar?

Great computer for gaming. I purchased the Open Box model to save, because it is expensive, but it does a great job. It does get hot while gaming, but most small laptops do. The display looks fantastic, but it should have a touchscreen. The battery life is good if you are not playing games. All in all a great gaming computer for its size.

Overall, this is a good laptop for what I need. I’m currently in a CIS program for school, so the higher RAM and faster processing speed make a noticeable difference when running multiple applications or working on assignments. It performs well and has a clean display, but I can’t help feeling a little disappointed that I missed a sale on another model just a day earlier. For the price, it’s a solid choice, but it does feel a bit expensive for what it offers.

Love the keyboard and style. It works and it keeps up with my gaming. The only downfall is that it gets very hot. Make sure it’s vented at all times. Even the power pack for the cord gets very hot.

The Omen Transcend 14 is a great laptop for the price. The OLED display looks amazing with rich colors and sharp detail, and the Intel Ultra 7 plus NVIDIA GTX 5060 run games and everyday tasks really smoothly. It’s light, portable, and feels premium. For what I paid, it’s totally worth it.

I really like this computer. It’s a good gaming computer and the OLED screen is awesome and this gaming computer is the perfect size for me so I got both power and portability all in one.

Needed to replace my HP Spectre that was 11 years old and still worked great, except it didn't support Windows 10 any longer. After looking at the HP OMEN features and pricing, I decided to get that. Gave me way more power and memory for heavy use, AI in addition to gaming (even though I rarely do that). Works fantastic so far. I have been using it several weeks so far and love it. Crisp, clean graphics and plenty of power and headroom for my needs.

I got this for my daughter for her 22nd Birthday and she loves it. She said, "I'm getting Frames Per Second instead of Seconds per Frame!" She loves the portability without sacrificing performance. Its great for doing her college work too.
