This laptop has unbelievable battery life, compared to any other laptop I've used for as long as I can remember. The onboard Snapdragon processor is simply a battery life beast, giving you the full Windows experience while sipping on small amounts of power. The chip isn't too bad at handling basic use computer tasks, either - using MS Office applications, browsing the web, and listening to music or watching video are accomplished with no snags or slowdown whatsoever. Boot times and downloading speeds are also reasonably quick. In short, if you just need a computer to do the run of the mill things that we use computers for, you will think this is an excellent machine and well worth the purchase. I did experience some issues with code editing and execution in an IDE compared to my experiences running similar code on an Intel or AMD machine, but if this isn't something you'll be doing (beyond maybe an elementary level), you'll never experience such hiccups. Other than that, the build quality is excellent and the screen is sharp and bright, with vivid colors to boot. And it's a touchscreen! If you hate the trackpad or don't have a mouse handy, you can always just reach out and use your finger to keep things moving. The speakers also pretty decent, but I didn't have too many opportunities to test them at really loud volumes. For regular use, they're more than adequate. Physically, in terms of the parts and build, it's hard to find fault with this machine, though you could say that the laptop could use a few more ports (especially USB A ports for those of us still holding on to old equipment). This is the perfect laptop to get either a student or a person who just needs a computer for personal use. It's affordable, built really well, is easy to use, and has amazing battery life. The only cautionary note is that you can expect some kinds of difficulty with certain programs trying to run off an ARM processor, but those won't be the kinds of programs regular users will spend a lot of time with (if any at all). I wouldn't recommend this for gaming or video and audio production, nor would I for application development (i.e. programming), but for everyone else, including even business use, this computer is a solid choice. I'm looking forward to future Snapdragon-powered laptops after my experience with this machine.

The OmniBook 5 is an impressive lightweight laptop. The small foot print makes it great for travel, student or off site work. The OmniBook feels great, not cheap like lesser models of other brands, it is very durable, the keyboard feels perfect, and each key has a positive feedback so you have positive results for each key press. The only thing that I wish was an option was a backlit keyboard. The dark keys in a dark room are sometimes too dark. Backlighting would solve this. The Snapdragon processor with 16 gigs of ram really impressed me. The response time for everything I threw at it was perfect. The 512 MB storage is sufficient, I would however add a thumb drive or USB drive to back up all important files. The Omni has 2 USB C and 1 drop jaw USB A port. Boot time from off till login was less than 20 seconds. The touch screen and oversized track pad are a perfect match to go back and forth from. Especially when viewing pictures on the OLED screen. I like to be able to zoom on the touch screen. I loaned my laptop to my daughter for a day when hers was down. She took it to her campus and throughout 4 classes. Took notes, viewed PDFs and videos. She said it was perfect. Now she wants the same model. She also noted that in a quiet classroom the noise from typing was nonexistent. The battery icon was still at full when she came back home. The Battery is indeed very impressive. Up to 20 plus hours. This laptop is perfect for the student, small office or frequent traveler. If you are looking for a gamer laptop or editing photo/videos. I would look for a higher end model. The OS Windows 11 with copilot was quite nice. I went down the rabbit hole for a few hours playing and learning about AI and playing with it. Making tons of AI pics that were hilarious. The camera is sufficient at 1080P as are the built in mics for zoom calls, or face recognition for logging in. The speakers are very nice and sufficient. I would recommend this to family and friends.

For me, the worst part of getting started with the 5 was getting it up and running. First, for getting the box open, look for the small black on black “pull tab” on the underside black strip. Powering up with the on/off key took several attempts. Then, the boot up and running the start up software took longer than I have experienced in many a year. My thoughts were that the 5 was going to be a dud. HOWEVER, once it was up and running, any thought of the 5 being a dud was gone! Also, after the initial hiccup, the on/off key works perfectly. The 5 has many excellent features, including: *The battery power when fully charged is estimated to provide up to 34 hours of work time. I cannot attest to the full 34 hours, but I can attest to it being on for about 24 hours and it was still ready for more work. *Keyboard: It is not backlit, which I don’t like. However, the size and clarity of the information on each key is quite easy to read. *Screen: The 14” OLED screen is full HD (1920 x 1200), and brightness is 300 nits output. *Storage: SSD 512 GB, RAM 16GB *Processing: Snapdragon X Plus is the processor. It is so efficient that it contributes to extended battery power. In addition, the X has been shown to provide excellent AI performance. * Portability: The 5’s size and weight make it an excellent companion for students, regular business or for fun travelers. *AI: The 5 offers several AI features. Some are onboard and some are available by app. These include MS 365 Copilot (free app), HP AI Companion (Beta), and Recall (Preview). Utilizing one or more of these programs will involve a major learning curve for many of us, but it could surely be useful. Also, some programs require a subscription. OmniBook 5 is a worthy performer with great portability, and it is easy to use. I'd definitely recommend it.

The HP OmniBook 5 feels like a big step forward for Windows on Arm laptops. There’s enough here that most users could get by with this as a primary device, and sits in a sweet spot of price-to-performance. It weighs just under three pounds, which makes it an easy everyday carry, and the slim aluminum chassis gives it a solid, modern look. While the keyboard deck and underside have a little more flex than the most premium machines, the overall build quality feels reassuring in the hand. The 14-inch 16:10 OLED display is one of the highlights. Colors pop, blacks are inky, and for indoor work or movie watching, the picture looks fantastic. Brightness is where it shows its limits. At 300 nits it can feel dim outdoors or in bright settings, so you will want shade if you plan to work in bright light. Indoors though, it’s great. Performance is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Plus processor, and it delivers a smooth experience for daily productivity. This is my first experience with a Qualcomm in a PC, but it held up pretty well. Web browsing, standard office work, streaming video, and some creative tools (Adobe Suite, Lightroom, etc.) all run without a hitch. For those curious about numbers, multi-core performance is rated close to Apple’s M4 and Intel’s i7-12650H. Overall, this is a capable and efficient ARM-based processor on a Windows machine, which overhead to do a little bit of everything. This laptop instead plays to its strengths in efficiency and responsiveness for lighter, everyday tasks. Battery life is the area where the OmniBook 5 really shines. HP’s marketing claims thirty hours or more, and while that depends heavily on use, real-world testing shows for me pegged it at about 20 hours. That makes it one of the best options for travelers or students who want true all-day reliability without carrying a charger. Upgradability is limited but not nonexistent. The SSD can be replaced, which gives you a path to expand storage later. Memory, however, is soldered to the board. If you buy the 16 GB configuration, that is what you will have for the life of the machine. For some, this is fine, performance will begin to suffer at some point down the road. Ports and I/O are serviceable but not perfect. You get 2 USB-C’s capped at 10GBPS, one USB-A connection, along with a 3.5mm jack. The USB options are slower than you might expect in 2025, which limits flexibility with high-speed drives or docks. The trackpad also works well enough for basic use, but does not feel as smooth or precise as the glass surfaces found on premium Intel ultrabooks or Apple’s MacBooks. These are not dealbreakers, but they stand out on an otherwise polished device. Taken as a whole, the OmniBook 5 is a laptop designed for people who prioritize battery life, portability, and an excellent indoor display over sheer horsepower. If you mostly live in office apps, browsers, and streaming, it is an impressive package. If your work depends on heavy multi-core performance or the fastest ports available, an Intel or AMD alternative might be a better fit. For the right audience, HP has built a lightweight, efficient machine that shows just how far ARM has come and what can be done with the right configuration.

First and foremost, the HP OmniBook 5 Copilot+ PC, 14" 2K OLED Touch-Screen Laptop, with Snapdragon X Plus, 16GB Memory 512GB SSD in Glacier Silver is a stunning looking laptop. At a super light 3lbs, it is sleek and portable. The Glacier Silver color is very subtle, that is almost an off white color. The unexposed rear vent design makes it very sleek looking. It is great for travel and students. Battery life is unbelievable at around 30 plus hours, you could leave the laptop charger at home for the day, or two days. Plus if needed, you can get a fifty percent recharge in about 30 mins. The graphics is sharp and vibrant from the 2K OLED display. Videos are true to color and the audio is clear. You can always add a blue tooth audio device if you prefer another audio source. The Snapdragon X plus processor keeps everything humming along smoothly. The processor handles day to day productivity flawlessly. The HP OmniBook 5 Copilot+ PC has a dedicated Copilot key for easy instant access when needed. The one drawback is it's limited ports. Even though, the USB-A is slightly hidden going along with minimalist style. It has two USB-C and a 3.5mm audio jack, they say wired headphones are making a comeback... One of the USB-C ports does act as a charging port. In order to expand or use external monitors, you will need a compatible USB-C dock. Overall, with it's small footprint and light weight at mere 3 lbs. It might just replace a tablet, with more usability from a similar size. Honestly, it is a great looking laptop that has a minimalistic exterior and battery life for days.

This is wonderfull Laptop. It is the perfect size for being mobile for traveling or school. The Snapdragon X Plus processor is very snappy and you can get things done quickly since it is pared with a Qualcomm Fast connect 6E WiFi adaptor. The screen display is gorgeous and is also a touch screen. Also has a nice camera for video calls. The Audio is very good for this size laptop. Specs are your average set up. 16Gb Ram, 128Mb Graphics card. 500Gb SSD storage. Ram speed is good at 8448 MT/s, Processor speed is good at 3.24GHz. Set up was easy and available storage after set up is 477Gb. The Keyboard is not back lit which discourages working in spaces with limited lighting. The battery lasted for a week with laptop in sleep mode and occasional use. The specs for the battery are boasted to last up to 34 hours There are 6 special dedicated Function key's, one of them offering Emojis. Of course there is a CoPilot key so that means there also a Neural processor. Usb ports are limited, 2 usb C, 1 usb A and 1 Mic/Phones jack. I really like what HP has done with this OmniBook. I would have liked a Backlit Keyboard but not the case here.

Having a laptop that handles everything that you need and more is always a little difficult to find especially with a battery life that will last a long time. HP Omnibook 5 has a great battery life that based off my use, I’m able to use it for normal day to day use for about two to three days without needing to charge. Your mileage will definitely vary on this though. The laptop has a great screen. I do find that the brightness might not be enough to use when the room lighting is very bright like when you use it outside. The colors though look really vibrant and alive. It’s very pleasing to the eyes. The touch capabilities are also very good and works great. It’s very responsive. The keyboard has a very chiclet feel and the font of the keyboard itself is okay but it gets the job done. The overall workload capabilities of the laptop is very good. It can handle most workloads that you give it but I wouldn’t expect it to handle any super heavy duty tasks like gaming or heavy video editing but it can definitely perform those in a lighter capacity. If you just need it to do office work and some light video and photo editing, it should more than suffice for your needs.

I picked the HP OmniBook laptop mainly because I wanted a lightweight Windows laptop with strong AI features, excellent battery life, and good value compared to other premium ultrabooks. I compared it against the competitor models, but the OmniBook 5 stood out for its battery life claim, OLED display, and the added HP AI Companion, which is unique to this model. Fit & Design: The laptop is thin and light (2.9 lbs), making it very portable for daily use. The silver finish feels premium, not cheap. Ports are well thought out with 2 USB-C and 1 USB-A, which means I don’t need a dongle for basic use. Display & Color: The 14" 2K OLED screen is beautiful—colors are vivid, blacks are deep, and text looks sharp. It’s a big step up from standard LCDs in this price range. Glacier Silver looks professional and modern, though it would be nice to see more color options. Performance & Compatibility: The Snapdragon X Plus chip with 16GB RAM handles multitasking very well. All my everyday apps (Office, Chrome, Teams) run smoothly. However, since this is an ARM-based processor, some specialized software may not work without emulation. It’s fine for students, professionals, and content consumers, but developers should double-check compatibility. AI Features: The built-in Copilot+ features are fun and genuinely useful in certain cases. The HP AI Companion is a nice bonus and it helps summarize docs and answer questions, though some processing still happens in the cloud. Battery Life: This is where it really shines. In my use (web browsing, video calls, Youtube videos), it only drained 3–7% per hour. I can easily go through 2 days of light to moderate use without charging, which beats most Intel or AMD ultrabooks. Value for Money: For the specs that this laptop brings like OLED, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Copilot+ features, and excellent portability, the price feels fair. Ease of Setup: Setup was straightforward, and Windows Hello with the IR camera made login seamless. Charging via USB-C is also super convenient. Pros: Gorgeous OLED screen Extremely long battery life Lightweight and portable Useful AI tools built-in Cons: ARM compatibility may cause issues for certain apps Limited color choices (only Glacier Silver) Copilot+ features can feel confusing at first Overall, if you want a sleek, portable laptop with all-day battery and AI extras, the HP OmniBook 5 is an excellent choice. Just make sure the apps you rely on support Windows ARM, and you’ll be very happy with this device.

HP Omni Book 5, a 14-inch touchscreen laptop, is very impressive. It has installed a Snapdragon X Plus processor, which provides remarkable speeds. It is also powered by 16 GB of onboard RAM, which makes it run smoothly. The 14-inch touch screen has a 2K resolution at 1920x1200 and looks good on everything from a power source to a streaming service. With 512 GB on a solid-state drive, you can move seamlessly through any project. Windows 11, powered by the Copilot Plus system, really helps with everything from everyday emails to bigger projects, which are processed fluidly through AI and chatbots. It has an amazing battery life I u.sed it all day and, it was showing about 55% battery remaremaining, which is nice for a touchscreen PCou get 2 USB-C ports and 1 USB-A. I love having a USB-C for easy use on my mobile devices. A very good wifi adapter in the 6900 Wi-Fi 6E is used making for very impressive wireless internet connection. I got awesome speedtest results. To sum up, it's not really an entry-level PC, but it's definitely worth checking out.

The HP Omnibook Ultra is an exceptionally well-designed 14-inch laptop. It's exactly the right size for travel, and I appreciate the sturdiness of the metal chassis. It feels durable enough to handle going in and out of my bag and all the inevitable jostling without complaint. In terms of performance, the machine is fast and smooth - the processer is well suited for everything I've thrown at it. The touch display is bright and responsive. For a smaller laptop, HP did a very good job with the keyboard layout, and the tactile feel is comfortable for long stretches of typing. This is a genuinely reliable workhorse for travel productivity. My primary reservation, which is becoming a familiar theme with this new generation of PCs, is the focus on integrated AI. I use large language models regularly, so I'm not an AI skeptic, but the Copilot+ workflow feels somewhat bloated. The machine has impressive NPU power, but I haven't found a compelling reason to integrate all these features into my existing tasks. A copilot shouldn't be nudging your elbow when the flight is going according to plan, and I often feel like the AI is trying to invent tasks for itself rather than seamlessly assist with mine. Despite feeling like I'm leaving some AI potential on the table, the Omnibook Ultra is an outstanding piece of hardware. If you need a powerful, highly portable laptop that gets the core user experience details right (like the keyboard and screen), this one is easy to recommend.

I’ve been using this laptop for a few days now and I can’t seem too slow it down. It can take everything I throw at it. I have at least two dozen chrome tabs open. The best part is that the snapdragon processor sips the battery. It can run all day no problem. The only thing I really don’t like about this laptop is that it’s not a completely convertible laptop. I don’t know why we need laptops that are not fully convertible these days. It adds so much utility when you can just flip it around and use as a tablet. The 2K OLED screen looks fantastic. The colors are so rich. It reminds me of my OLED TVs picture with the deepest blacks and the most vibrant of colors. The touchscreen is responsive, and the machine is just a delight to work with. The keyboard is sadly missing a backlight feature, but it responds and feels good for what it is. I am running Adobe full suite on this laptop with no problems no issues. This is a great laptop for a student on a budget, which I’m sure that’s what it was designed for.
