I preface this w/ my initial skepticism coupled w/ owning over $7,000 bucks in all kinds of recovery equipment. I was experiencing mild discomfort around the tibia. If you study the area you’ll find it’s a tricky part of the anatomy that requires an on hands approach or, like anything else, it may worsen severely quickly. There are hard to reach nooks + crannies; specifically the area behind the “Longus” that needed a lot of attention…..
So, I was in search of ANYTHING that would have varied pressure in order to deeply impact my specific ailment. After my first session I had immediate + profound results. This pair of compression sleeves are awesome. The design, size + pressure make these my favorite piece of equipment.
Now, I even pack them in my workout bag when I’ve scheduled a HIIT session; just to warm up. Not only do I use them for my calves/tibialis but I occasionally inch them up for complete knee work. I get fantastic bounce back when I use them at home for recovery. I’m telling you the pressure rivals my Normatec full boots! I’ve had them less than a month + to date I’ve let 3 complete strangers, at my gym, try them-Resulting in purchases! Ha! That good.
Love them.

These things rock. As an owner of the boots, these are a must buy. I love using them when I travel via car or plane to keep the legs warm and not stiff. In the picture was a day after Disney, and my legs felt good as new. The battery life is incredibly good and work just as strong when low on battery. I can get about 2 hours worth of use on a full charge. They aren’t as much of a “detailed” massage like the boots are, but duh they are selves. Absolutely would buy again. I haven’t had any connection issues or any UI issues with the app. Quality is fantastic and they are super portable. I keep them in my backpack and carry them on planes with zero issue. If you’re on the fence and you want something portable, do it. If you’re more of an “at-home-user” look into the boots. Although pricey they will be better worth your money. I got these because of wanting to bring them traveling.

The product worked great while it was working. My legs don't ease up easily unless they are massaged by hand. However, this product has the best pressure out of all the massage devices I have used so far. However, it suddenly stopped working after 6 months of use.

The runners dream!

The Normatec Go is the newest product from Hyperice that is specially designed to target the calf muscles. It is light and has a small form factor with built-in battery and device controls on the compression sleeve, which makes it portable (weighs 1.2lb) - no hoses or external control unit. Comes with a 5v charger. This is the newest addition to the Normatec dynamic air compression line of products. I own several Normatec products and am super happy with their performance. I was excited to try the Normatec Go dynamic air compression sleeve, it gave me the same level of experience as their Normatec legs. I always wanted to take these on my trips and now I can! It is now my travel companion, and I had no issues with TSA for having it in my cabin baggage!
I am an avid runner and am always on the look for sports therapy or recovery devices that reduce my recovery time post endurance runs and Normatec Go is perfect for a quick session (post and pre workout). I have used the Normatec Go few times so far and am happy with its design and performance. Normatec Go is very well designed to target the calf muscles, a pre and post workout recovery air compression sleeve to increase blood circulation and provide relief to sore calf muscles. I found it more useful and convenient for quick warmup before my endurance run and it also helped with faster recovery post workouts, and I can go on with my daily activities right after my run. It has three different overlapping compartments targeting the top, middle, and the lower part of the calf. The dynamic air compression system activates individual compartments in a sequence to mimic the actual massage experience! These are paired sleeves and can be unpaired to use them individually. Also, the compression level setting (7 levels) on the controller is very helpful. I used the high setting during warm up and lower setting for post recovery. The product is built to last, just like their regular line of products, and the battery should last 3+ hours.
Overall, I love the Normatec Go just for the fact that it is very portable and gives me the same level of experience as the Normatec Legs, but for the calves!

Best Recovery for legs

Are you and active person? Then this is worth every penny! I play ultimate frisbee and used these over the past weekend at a tournament! Waking up the next day my legs felt fresh and not tired or hurting at all. I ran well over 15 miles on one day and over 10 the next. When it came to Monday I could get out of bed and walk without trouble. The recovery of these makes the day so much better.
They are very simple to use and set up. The sync so you can do both legs at the same time. The level adjustments are great to depending how much compression you are looking for! I’ve used it on level 5 and 7. 7 is the max and it does compress a-lot but I fell that it helped me in the long term. It adjusts to all size legs with a Velcro attachment system.
There is also an adjustment on time. So whether you only have 15 minutes or 60 you can get your recovery in and feel great the next day! I was definitely the most popular guy on the team as other teammates used them and those who did felt better the next day then those who did not!

Portable Recovery and Relief

I’ll preface this with the fact that I walk a lot and also have a family history of varicose veins and leg pain. A while back I even had a clot develop in one of my legs that I had to have taken care of. With all that being said, the Hyperice Normatec Go intrigued me and I had to give it a try. I’ll be providing a full review, but I’ll start it off with my overall impressions of the device in case you have better things to do.
Overall Impressions:
The Hyperice Normatech Go is an interesting portable product that provides relief from leg fatigue and improves recovery after exercise. I used this product to help relieve some of my leg pain caused by walking and my varicose veins. I have had no negative effects while using the product and my legs feel refreshed and renewed after using the product for a week. I would recommend this product for someone that doesn’t want the full, more tedious experience of the larger Normatec products, but still wants to be able to get the healthy benefits of a compression product like this. With its wireless functionality, this product can be packed away easily and used many times before needing a recharge, making it the perfect accessory to pack in a gym bag or take on the road.
Build Quality/First Impressions:
You’ll receive the Normatech Go in a very nice box that makes it feel like a premium product and that experience shifts right into the product itself. The 2 leg sleeves are very well built and come with 2 battery packs permanently attached to them which allow these to be used completely wirelessly. The product is made of high-quality neoprene material and velcro, along with reinforced seams and stitching.
Ease of Use:
Once you have charged the product for 4 hours with the included double USB charging brick and 2 cables provided, you’ll want to download the Hyperice app and Normatec Go to your phone via the instructions provided. It’s as easy as pressing a button and letting the application discover the devices. This will also sync the 2 devices up with each other as you’ll want them in sync when they start doing their thing. Go ahead and secure the 2 sleeves onto your lower leg, but don’t overtighten as that may end up causing you some pain once the compression begins.
Usage Experience:
So what exactly does the Normatec Go do? Well, the devices compress and decompress your legs, but in a way that enhances your circulation, improves recovery from exercise, and provides relief. The first thing you’ll do is want to adjust the level of compression. If you’ve never used a product like this I’d recommend a setting no higher than 3. If you want more compression, you can crank up the level to 7, but even level 5 was too much for my legs.
You’ll notice that different zones activate as the timer ticks off your remaining session time. You’ll be able to set the session time and compression level from either the app or from the units themselves, which is excellent if you don’t have your phone handy or just want to let someone else use the device. I counted 3 compression zones, one on your ankle area, calf area, and upper calf area. The zones will compress and release at different times and patterns that are supposed to help with recovery, etc.
After a 15-minute session, my legs felt refreshed and a little tingly. I didn’t experience any pain or negative side effects after using the product for several days. I enjoy using the Normatec Go after a long day at work or an exceptionally active day as I feel like the product has a positive effect on my legs that goes above just putting on compression stockings.

Feeling Good and Very Helpful

The Hyperice - Normatec Go in black comes in a fancy black box, making this item not only a good purchase for the buyer, but a nice presentation for any gifting. Inside the box comes 2 wearables with attached control units, for right and left, 2 separate USB charging cables that are inserted into (1) plug-in wall unit that allows both units to charge all at once.
The units are black and simply wrap around the user's legs, between their knees and their ankles, that will administer a compression message over a selected period of time. I have very thin calves, but the self-sticking area is quite large so this is easily used by both men and women with narrow to very athletic calves. The first thing after charging the units must be to download the Hyperice app for your smartphone. I have an android so I downloaded my app from the Play Store with no problem. That app allows the user to do many things. First of all, you will have to Bluetooth your phone to the units when they are turned on. With that, I could register my unit and set up the warranty period. You can also run your treatment routines from the app, setting up the time period, the intensity, what kind of routine you want based on whether you are treating yourself as an athlete, a medical issue, or just as a wearer to refresh your calves. (See attached screenshot when I programmed my routine).
I decided to pick these out because I am 63 and walk several miles a day, in addition to being a CPA, and sitting for long hours at a time during tax season. I try to sit at my desk for as long as possible and when I have worked 16-20 hour days, I have noticed that my ankles might swell a bit due to inactivity. These Normatec-Go Wearables are very portable, light enough to carry in a tote or backpack, and transportable to either your work, as in my case, or to your work out location. These units are wearable on bare skin and in my case will massage for health reasons, but if you are a competitive athlete or endeavor to just be athletic, then your "taxed" legs will enjoy the recovery.
The units come paired, meaning that time and routine are the same in both legs. However, then can easily become unpaired, too. The control units are also the same on both units. There is a Bluetooth indicator advising you by blue light that it is connected to your phone's app, a Hyper sync pairing indicator, but it also says in words "pairing when they are doing so and "finishing cycle" towards the end of the session. Other buttons are level for pressure intensity, from 1-7, time, start/stop, and on the side off and on.
Do not fret, there is a Let's Get Started brochure that is very helpful, taking you from A to Z on how and what to do. Plus, the app can take you through the steps to set up your routine based on your physical activity and exertions. From what I could see, I believe that this company tries to be there for the user and has several ways that then can be contacted for customer support with either a toll free number, their website and there customer support email address. In my experience & opinion, when a company makes themselves that available that is a good thing, they want the customer to be successful and happy while using their product. There is no limit at how many times a day you can give yourself these healing massages

Relaxing and Convenient!

My wife is an athlete and is into that big fitness platform with the bike classes, while I am admittedly….old. A recent broken Tibia left her with some tissue scaring and swelling and I often work long hours at a desk. The Normatec Go seemed like a no brainer for the family. The idea is that it will aid her recovery and circulation in her bad leg, and when I’m working I can wear them to keep the circulation in my body strong.
Unboxing/First Impressions: Pretty straight forward. Each calf wrap has a brain/battery pack that charges via USB-C. The setup includes a single wall brick with two USB-C cables so both can charge at once. First impression was that the quality of materials is very nice. Solid stitching and velcro that doesn’t look like it’s going to capture a lot of fuzzies.
Setup: I downloaded the Hyperice app and signed up for an account in seconds. I tapped add device and selected the Normatec Go. Within about 30 seconds the app found both wraps and connected. Immediately a firmware update was pushed which kind of surprised me, but it’s nice to see they’ll be able to improve and squash bugs if ever needed. Note, you don’t need to use the app to use, but I found it super convenient to adjust the time and intensity.
Fit/Use: The biggest concern we had was whether one device would fit my small/athletic wife and my tree trunks. If anything it fits my legs perfectly but wrapped a little loosely around my wife’s. If you’re a runner or a thinner person you may experience the same.
Experience: It’s hard to describe the experience to someone who’s never used this type of device. It’s like a hybrid between getting your blood pressure checked while sitting in one of those massage chairs you see in a mall. There isn’t much vibration, so it’s not the same feel as a percussion massage. The wraps inflate at different places along your leg in various intervals and it’s relaxing but also a little unsettling at first. At different points it felt like my foot was falling asleep but then the boot would deflate and I immediate felt relaxed. I wouldn’t say it’s an immediate feeling of rejuvenation when complete, but I believe the science is sound and my wife is quite excited.
Overall I would definitely recommend if you have a use case that makes sense!

The BEST recovery for your legs.

This is absolutely worth having especially if you work a 12 hour shift and on your feet most of the day/night. When I get home after a long shift of being on my feet for 11/12 hours of the day, this is the best massage and recovery. I also work out on my off days jogging, walking and bike riding or doing yard work, like edging/mowing and trimming. This is such a necessary item to have. My legs would feel so done where I would not even want to stand up. Getting up the next day to go do another 12 hour shift felt so tough. On weeks where I do 3 days in a row..horrible. This is perfect! My legs feel so recovered and ready for the 12 hour shift (even after working out on my off days). It was so easy to set-up too and get it started. Right out of the box it was fully charged and I have not had to charge it since. I do the 15 minutes at medium and it makes my legs feel amazing afterward. I also downloaded the app and use that to control it and its pretty neat. I never have any slow or delayed connections either. It connects right up and it is so easy to navigate. I love having that option to control my hyper ice. It also allows you to connect other products if you own any and that is awesome. The connectivity is really fast, about less than 15 seconds to recognize it and connect. There are also strengthening work out recommendations on the app for certain body parts you want to work on. It gives examples on how to do the exercise and how many to do. I really love this product. I would totally recommend it.

Packing a big punch for a small device

I am actively training in the gym 5-6 days a week and have been looking for a solution for the dreaded “day after leg day” aches that i typically experience after a hard workout. I own other Hyperice products and have been extremely pleased with the brand so far, which made picking up the Normatec Go an easy decision.
The first thing you’ll enjoy is the absolute simplicity of the product. Both legs had a charge right out of the box and were already synced with each other. The cuffs are easy to put on and with the press of a button I was off and running for a 15 minute cycle. The devices have multiple intensity settings which I definitely underestimated and quickly dialed back from the heaviest one. To be completely portable, no hoses and no wires - these are in one word INCREDIBLE for what they do. Charging is very simple - one very small wall adapter with two usb slots included.
The one thing I paused on to question was why the design was only for lower legs. For the price I’d say the flexibility to use on upper legs would be nice provided the cuffs fit. I haven’t experimented yet but the directions are quite specific. This may change your feelings about what you are getting for the price, but the flexibility of taking these with me anywhere without the hassle of the full leg boots makes them a worthwhile investment for me.

I'm so happy with the Normatec Go! It's got a very compact design and you can bring them pretty much anywhere and yeah in a plane as well since are TSA approved for carry-ons!
This dynamic air compression sleeves they really help me either to warm up before or to relax after a hard workout or a long day at work!
It comes with a 5v charger and they can be both charged simultaneously. I found the battery to last somewhere between 2:30-3hrs depends on the pressure level are you using which by the way can be set anywhere between 1-7. I really recommend to start with a lower setting and increase as you go.(i personally prefer 4-5level of intensity)
The devices communicate witch each other so it's enough to select your desired setting from one since the second device will follow.
I recommend you go download the App Hyperice and you'll have now a remote controller to say for Normatec Go! As well witch a bunch of useful videos about how u may use the device.
I found it easy to use when doing light moves around the house but i really get the most out of it when i stay horizontally and let me calf muscles free of tension cause believe me Normatec Go might look compact or small but it does puts some pressure on your legs and boy they feel good!!!

Wasn’t 100% sure if this is something I would need but I am certainly very happy now that I have it. Hyperice products are always a solid choice and the Normatec Go is no different. Great to use after spending a long day on your feet, and even better to use after leg day.
They pair very easily with each other allowing you to control both from one control panel as opposed to having to set both independently. Even better is how easily it pairs with the Hyperice app allowing you to control both from your phone. There are no routines available in the app as of this writing but it would be nice to see some that alternates the pressure throughout the session. You can do this manually with no issue but it would be nice to see it automated.
I am still getting the hang of putting it on because it is a long Velcro attachment. Sometimes I feel like it is too loose but once readjusted I’m good.
It can be tough to judge if it is too loose or too tight since you really don’t know until you start using it. I do find I am getting better at finding just the right tightness but still a work in progress.
Overall, I love my Normatec Go and recommend it highly.

I've used both the full leg version and these and although I think the full leg version is better for recovery, I found myself putting these on more when I was sitting at a desk or laying down to read so because I think the most useful products are the ones that you are going to actual use regularly, I'd say these are a win. The graduated compression did usually make me feel lighter and they did help with circulation. If I was an athlete that was looking for these products for recovery purposes, I'd do the full leg version however. Battery life could be improved.

The normatec go are perfect for at home recovery even if you are not a competitive athlete. I have chronically tight calves and the air massage offers an easy way to loosen and get blood flowing through the muscle. It’s not as good as a real massage, but that is expected.

Got these for my birthday. one of the best gifts I've gotten. The versatility of this is great. I have a massage chair high quality. I have the Normatec 3 system. I use them all. This is so portable and I use this on my calves, knee, and arms. I had a bad case of tennis elbow and cramping lower legs. Does not cure you with one use but using frequently along with stretches, icing, heat, exercises, home physical therapy; it definitely helped compared to when i was doing everything without it.

Out of all my fitness and recovery gadgets, these are absolutely the best! I’ve always wanted to add compression therapy into my recovery mix and had purchased the full legs which didn’t workout for me…. too big with giant hoses and a machine. I felt trapped!
These on the other hand are hose less and portable. In fact, I wore them on the way to my marathon race and afterwards. While these are for calves, I’m lucky in that I can also use them on my quads/hammys. Definitely my Best Buy!
