I am using this for a ps4 and just plug it in the controller instead of using the usb to the console. It sounds great both the audio and the mic. Overall, it’s a bit heavy which isn’t a bad thing just be aware! It can get hot over the ears if you game all day but nothing worse than any other over the ear sets. It’s rather large but I have a big head so that fits perfectly! Great improvement over my last headset (rig800) and am happy with the purchase.

Hyper X: Best company in peripherals

Just bought this headset today. It is the best gaming headset I've ever owned. The sound quality is A+. This is comparable to some studio headphones I've used, no joke. They are very lightweight, my only complaint for comfort/fit as that they are almost too lose, if I look down, they almost fall of my head. (Same issue I had with the Cloud 1 headset a year ago) The features are also great. Being able to toggle the 7.1 Surround AND change presets of EQ is awesome. Then of course adjusting Mic/Speaker volume right on the Control Box. I also own the Hyper X Alloy FPS Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, which is a VERY loud keyboard. ( Best keyboard I've ever had) The microphone on the Razer Manowar picked up EVERY. SINGLE. KEYSTROKE, now with this new noise cancelling mic, it doesn't pick up nearly as much background noise. Overall I'm very excited and happy with my purchase. Honestly if you're looking for a solid company to jump into gaming with or switch to Hyper X is the way to go. Minus hardware in my PC, EVERYTHING I own as far as accessories is Hyper X. Buy it.

The other day I noticed that the jack was bent. I'm not sure how this happened, but it these headphones have always been taken care of and they have not been abused in any way. I reach out to their support and they tell me that this is "abnormal wear" and not covered by their warranty. Sadly, I just bought a pair of Cloud Alphas less than a week ago. I don't support companies that won't support their products. I'll be avoiding HyperX going forward.

Best No-Fuss Wired Headset For PS4

Just to clarify my 4-star rating, it’s really a 4.5 as-in it’s almost perfect. Here’s why: Before buying this headset I’ve owned all the Sony wireless headsets, Astro A40’s, Razer Nuri, and the Arctis 5, 7, and Pro’s, so I have a pretty good idea of what the pros and cons are of each. If I could sum up the HyperX Revolver S in one sentence it would be that it’s the most balanced wired headset overall when you consider sound quality, ease of use, and comfort, but it’s not the best in each category. While the Revolver headset is not the absolute best for audio quality and surround sound, at this price point it’s good enough. Sure the Sony Gold’s are cheaper and they have spatial sound, but the Revolver’s 50mm drivers make a big difference in the quality of sound. Footsteps sound “bigger” and you hear more details in the sound. Volume is average out if the box. I maxed out the volume on the in-line control pod and it was loud enough but not deafeningly loud so for people who like to blast their audio this may be a problem. As for the mic, it’s average. Friends have told me that I don’t sound as clear as I do when I’m using the Astro A40’s but it’s not a major difference. When I first got the headset I plugged it in mid-game and my friends immediately asked why I sound different and further from the mic. They had no issues hearing me, it was just enough of a difference that they noticed it right away. In terms of comfort, the memory foam ear pads combined with the auto-adjusting headband really make the headset just disappear on your head. While this is absolutely a good thing, the issue is that it can feel loose like it’s drooping on your head with no way to “tighten” it. The headband on the revolver S is not something you can adjust manually. There’s no way to shorten/lengthen the height of the earcups or the length of the headband. It just sort of sits on your head with a self-adjusting elastic piece on both sides. Again, although I’m mentioning these things, they aren’t bad enough where it’s a deal breaker. Overall I think the Revolver is a keeper. I’ve tried so many different headsets and unfortunately there is no absolute perfect headset. For example, the Arctis Pro has amazing sound that blows the competition out of the water, but the headset is tight and hurts my head after an hour of use. The Sony Golds are a great price with good sound and adjustable fit, but the headset controls are still confusing even after a year of owning it. The HyperX Revolver S is the only headset I’ve ever tried that manages to give you a good experience all-around while being extremely easy to use. If your budget is $150 or less then look no further.

    Best headset for Xbox gaming

I had every headset aside from Astro and Razer headsets and I game only on Xbox one using Dolby Atmos app so... Pros. This headset connected to Xbox controller had big spacial sound. Great positional audio Immersive Not totally noise isolating but sound perfect and will not get distracted by outside noises during action or anything else really hard to explain but this is a plus for me! I like to be aware of my surroundings outside the headset having little ones. Best mic Perfect mic monitoring using Xbox monitoring in audio settings Amazing listening to music. Good base Built like a tank durrable! Very comfortable (but...) Cons. Not having a detachable 3.5mm jack or online controls for muting and volume (playing on Xbox) The cups do kind of pinch a little after long periods of gaming but not alot. Usually around the jaw (the head band floats kinda got to fidget with it but if you put it on right it's usually stays on and it won't fall off but if your planning on taking it off and on alot it would get annoying! Some games you might hear more than you want but this is not necessarily a con for alot of you Over all this is high end with out all the gimics no mix amp needed these are the real deal! For Xbox one players looking for a easy headset they can use with out a mix amp I would recommend over the hyper x alpha. I'd probably say between this and the hyper x cloud mix is the best headsets out right now

Been using headsets for 10 years, and I’ve become pretty picky with headsets. High end, low end, doesn’t matter, This is the real deal. Super comfortable! Haven’t used the microphone on it, but past cloud headset microphones have been great for gaming, mediocre for casting. Definitely recommend!

These are hands down the best pair of gaming headphones that I have ever owned. My favorite feature is that these loop your voice back through your headphones. This allows me to hear myself speak so I am not yelling. They are extremely comfortable as well which is great during long sessions. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys great sound quality and plays while in chat parties.

After trying the Turtle Beach elite pro I decided to go with these for the level of comfort they provide. They are very economical compared to the turtle beaches and considering the level of comfort they offer I would definitely recommend them. The sound quality is very good compared to other headsets I have tried.

I'm happy with this headset. I have a couple of minor criticisms, not important enough to knock off a star: The headphone's cable has a single 3 1/2 mm connector that can plug directly to a phone. There is no volume control, or any other control, on this cable. The user can plug this into a small block that has a button to turn on the surround sound feature and the typical headphone speaker volume control and mic silence button. The cable from this block has a USB connector to the computer. A minor annoyance with this is that the block also contains a dial for the mic volume next to the speaker volume dial. I have a habit of adjusting the mic volume by accident. I can't tell when this happens until people I'm gaming with complain that they can't hear me. The headset's cable can also plug into a cable that simply splits the single 3 1/2 mm connector into conventional speaker and mic connectors. The problem is that this connector has no control for speaker volume or mic mute. It's really a nice headset.

It works for literally all my devices. I had gotten a Turtle Beach that wasn't compatible with my Xbox and Playstation, but upgraded to these and they work more than perfect for my Mac, Switch, PS4 and Xbox One. The quality of sound is perfect for voice chatting as well as gaming in Call of Duty. I have no complaints. It doesn't even hurt the top of my head like the Turtle Beach headphones did. Highly recommending to everyone.

Pros: The headset is great. It can be switched easily between different systems/ consoles. It’s very comfortable and user friendly. The sound quality in my experience has been amazing Con: My only complaint with this headset is the location of the volume controls. They are lower on the wire and are suppose to be clipped to your shirt, but this also allows for you to easily bump into them and change the volume without meaning to. Perhaps try and move the location of the volume controls onto the headset itself on future models.

I mostly use this for gaming and I love the Dolby sound option attached to the cord. Very comfortable. If you are looking for a tight fitting headphone, I would recommend other HyperX headphones instead of this specific one. But I would'nt deduct star ratings for that since this is the headphone I wanted. Microphone is clear to whom you are communicating with. Overall, great product for its price.

Bought these headsets to replace a pair of turtle beaches I owned for about 5 years. The plastic around the headband was cracking so I figured it was time start looking for a replacement. These were on sale at the time so I bought them on a whim and I can honestly say these are the most comfortable headsets I've owned. The leather earcups are extremely soft with plenty of cushion. The headset auto adjust to the size of your head so it never feels too tight. The sound quality is great with plenty of bass. I tested the microphone when gaming with friends online and was told I sounded crystal clear and I could hear them just as clear. The headset includes a usb amp that you can plug into the PS4 that allows you to control the game volume and your chat volume independently. I don't own a Xbox and rarely game on PC so your millage may very on other systems but as a PS4 headset it works great. I highly recommend.

I've gone through several different headsets for my pc gaming, and this is by far the best for its price. I use to have an astro a40 tr which crapped out on me, which was my fav but the price is almost twice as this cloud s. They are comparable. Also had a corsair void wireless which worked well but i felt lacked in sound and voice quality. Th revolver s sounds great on highs very clear and the dolby surround is quite decent as well. I use it for overwatch and forza 7. You can hear a lot of details that i did not using the corsair void. A tad pricey but worth it imo.

I mulled around the idea of getting this headset and sticking with my trusty HyperX Cloud II, and man am I glad I made the choice to put the extra money into these. They fit completely over the ear like a traditional over the ear cup, but since the band auto adjusts it just seems to fit perfectly and doesn't make my ears sweat after long gaming sessions. (taking small breaks of course.) There is also something to be said about the Dolby 7.1 surround sound button you can toggle. It is by far the most immersive surround sound I have ever gotten from a headset, especially a headset under $200.

This headset is a nice quality headset. The sound is great, I didnt care for the surround sound too much, but it is nice to have. The style and build are both nice as well. The only problem for me, and sadly it's a fatal flaw, is that I dont know who's head these things can possibly fit on. My family always jokes I have a big head...and I do, but whereas most things I try on my head are too tight, it was quite the opposite with this headset. I was swimming in this thing, and it wouldn't stay up.
