Just enough length to not be noticeable and in the way

Purchased this to connect my parents' new TV and 4k Blu-ray player. No need to go crazy with speed ratings, gold coatings and other frills. It gets the job done for a lot less money than name brand cables.

With all the choices for HDMI cable lengths, I almost bought the 8 footer. Thankfully, the Best Buy associate showed me the difference and realized that it would have been too short...a cheaper cable, but one that would not work.

Can obviously use this for many things but this was used to hook up laptop to big screen and it totally changed the viewing experience for my father-in-law (who is not a techie). Recommend everyone have this cable on stand-by for this very purpose.

As far as HDMI cables go, this is a good one to have.
