    i bought this to put a SATA ssd drive in from my old MacBook pro to get the files off of it. I had a backup drive that was a firewire 800 but it does not hook up to the 2015 MacBook pro. The usb 3.0 mixed with a ssd makes this super fast.

    Great item pretty self explanatory without instructions. Worked great to recover info from a hard drive in a laptop that fell off second story ledge. Saved my files my installing ng hard drive in this.

    The external hard drive provided a solution to a failed motherboard that would have cost as much to replace as anew computer. By transfering the hard drive to an appropriate case, nothing was lost.

    Literally rough around the edges, but it was cheap enough I didn’t mind taking some fine grit sand paper to the aluminum case and sealing it with some of my daughter’s black nail polish. I bought it to try recovering some files from a drive I had in my laptop. Worked great.
