I own the 3.5" version so when I found myself looking for the 2.5" laptop hard drive enclosure this purchase was a no brainier. No external power supply. Just plug and go.

I had to be careful to snap the connector into place - cannot just shove the drive into the case. What was I thinking - all's good now! My laptop has never run so smoothly.

This product is a reasonably priced way to make use of a good hard-drive from a computer that is to be discarded. I did so at the suggestion of the Geek Squad when my Lenovo W530 hit the dust and it has worked well.

Great product that solves the problem of a hard drive issue.

Sale person on the floor was able to assist me and provide me with details regarding this product. My pc was not working properly and could not find as fastest way to get my memory out of the laptop pc? So he mentioned to me about taking out the memory out of the laptop and basically putting it in this open shell frame like an external devise that I can then use for work or my personal use. Paid Geek Squad for there service and install it to this open empty hard drive which never knew existed and was out of there back to work I go! Thanks Paid for service and $35 or $40 bucks for this. Good enclosure. Downside, hard drive shakes a little inside.

Since buying this product, I have used it several times to replace my existing hard drives and my friends. Also great way to salvage those hard drives that I replaced.

I bought this so I could use an internal HD I had removed from a laptop that was no longer working. I initially needed it so I could use it to replicate my OS X for a new Macbook Pro I had to buy. It is a great enclosure and so easy to put the 2.5" HD into with everything needed to do so included with the purchase of the enclosure. The USB connection supplies power to the enclosure so no converter is needed to power it up. It is small and does not take up much space whatsoever.

A good accesorie to convert own disk to an external unity

Recently my two year old laptop got zapped - motherboard DOA! I bought a new laptop from Best Buy and the 2.5" Serial ATA Drive Enclosure - installed the drive into the enclosure and plug and play, no problem!

Inexpensive, good quality and works! I would buy again.

I was worried at first since it's an Insignia brand, but it's actually microUSB 3.0 and it fit my old SATA 2.0 HDD out of my busted laptop. Now I have a spare portable drive.

This is a great product...it's simple to use and user friendly! My old computer crashed so I was able to take the hard drive out and use it with this product!

I purchased this product to accommodate my 1TB HDD from my new Samsung spin, so that I can replace it with SSD. This works super easy. Very small and portable.

Not much to say, it works great. I have 2 one on a Windows 2012 test box for backups and one on a MAC for everyday file storage. USB 3 no issues with the cases.

Have not taken the time to use due to holiday activities.

Love this product but... It seems like the cartoons on the Disney channel and a couple other of channels have a hard time measuring up to the high def and are pixilated. Also when you turn up the sounds, the tv speakers seem to vibrate and the buzzing is audible!
