I own many hard drive cases they all look like box's this one is sleek and round with some reflective mirror on each end looks like something from Star Trek tng ®. The only reason it got 4 stars from me is it lack of footing on a smooth desk it slides but fix that with stick on rubber feet for under a dollar no it stays put

I had an old laptop laying around with a decent size sata hard drive that was still good. I bought this so I could use the old laptop hard drive as a portable hard drive. it works great. easy install and came with what I needed. plug and play.

I didn't know I can save the hard disk of my no longer working laptop this way. This is a very smart solution for those whose laptop went out of order and still want to retrieve the data

Basic hard drive that helps when you don't back up your computer.

This bad boy was worth every penny and I'm considering buying a second one for my old HDD! Currently we are using it for a 230ssd anyway if you need one this is awesome only complaints not a lot of padding inside so don't drop it ever!!!!

I used it to put my old drive in that I replace with a new one.

I bought this enclosure to get the data from my older MacBook Pro. I didn't want to use a backup from time machin to get my data because I only needed some of it. Works great. Now I use it for a backup drive for my new MacBook Pro.

It’s okay. Nothing super great, but not bad. Just average.

It seemed fine for a while but then I noticed that my disks would occasionally glitch out and disconnect. I thought the drive was going bad so tried a different disk. It continued to do the same thing, especially during large file transfers. I then tried the disks directly connected and they worked fine. I ordered some cheap 2.5" UGREEN enclosures off amazon and those do not have this problem. Hopefully Best Buy will start carrying more reliable 2.5" enclosures soon.

It may be a house brand, but it works just as well as an old PATA case I bought years ago. I also like that it's an aluminum case instead of plastic. It's more of a specialty item, but if you need one, this is a good buy.

Enclosure works OK. Pin pattern only fits certain ATA HD.

I purchased this to retrieve my photos I had stored on my laptop which will not turn on anymore. I was able to retrieve the pictures and keep them stored on the hard drive I removed from the dead laptop. Works perfectly.

It really protects my hard drive against any damage

It works but it is over priced for what it does...

I bought this enclosure to use it to connect an external drive to my laptop in order to upgrade it to an ssd . The enclosure was perfect for the jab and I also now have my old HDD in the enclosure for a backup drive.

this device only interfaces with sata drives less than two years old. ones older than that and the plugs will not match up. I liked that it is powered by a usb 3 cable instead of requiring a separate power supply.

This product was recommend to me by the sales rep. Not only does it include the wire required to transfer data from the hard drive. It also includes the encasement to turn your hard drive into an external one.

bought this for an older mac hard drive, but haven't been able to make it function. My guess is my drive may only be visible by a mac, and not a PC.. i'll have to try on a mac when I am around one.Cant' really say if I would recommend this since it hasn't worked yet.

It worked but the case was felt fairly flimsy to me.
