This stylus is still hanging in there with her. It works effectively and I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for it.

Excellent Apple Pencil Substitute

However, since I am only using an older ipad version, I could only use the same model (Pencil 1). Since I was thinking of upgrading my ipad soon (for higher storage), I couldn’t just stick with the older Pencil 1, because it may NOT be compatible with the new ipad. So I looked for alternatives, and Insignia active stylus was a cost-effective substitute. It was a bir confusing in the beginning to set-up and pair, but eventually, I got it to do just that. Today, it has been an amazing pencil.

I use it mainly for drawing, and it feels smooth and accurate on the screen. It’s way more affordable than the Apple Pencil but still works really well for sketches and editing. Really happy with it so far.

Great Apple Pencil Alternative

The dimensions are identical to the Apple Pencil and it writes very well. Battery life has never been an issue. I will say the the only reason I knocked it 1 star is because the magnets do not align with the 2024 Apple iPad Pro models so make sure you have place to store the pencil when not in use. Also, Apple Pencil replacement tips do not work with this alternative version so the design is close but exact. So far, I have no regrets with going with a non-Apple branded accessory.
