My nontechnical buddy struggled with 3 different remotes. The manual was thorough, but it took a few tries. I typed a cheat sheet for the guy, and he actually gets it! Inexpensive device does what it is supposed to. I even use it.

They want me to review this, but I am not using it as it's intended purpose. I bought this because it was cheap, and I put rice inside the battery compartment so my toddler would have his own remote that shakes! It works great! LOL!

I have kids and pets. I go through remotes so fast. This one has worked flawlessly for us. Does what it needs to do and no hassle setting it up.

I have a Samsung TV that's about 2.5 years old. The slim little remote that came with the TV never worked very well. I was hoping to find a no-frills replacement, and so far this one works great. Easy set and smooth operation.

I needed a remote devise for several different TVs and accessories and the the Insignia Universal 2 has an excellent choice.. Ease of operation worked for all devises.

Perfect Remote. My husband dropped our original remote and it went into many pieces. Went to BB and picked this remote up. Matched perfectly and didn’t have any trouble using it.

My young son managed to lose our old remote months ago. I ran in real quick for this as a replacement. Got it home and it actually worked without needing to be programmed... not sure why but I'm not complaining.

Purchased for my parents to control a TV/DVD combo they have, and this worked nicely for a reasonable price. Only trouble was finding the code for the TV/DVD combo; ended up doing them as separate devices.

My daughter broke the remote that came with her Insignia TV so we ordered this one. I was a good price. Since it is Insignia and the TV is Insignia she took it right out of the package and began using it.

This remote sets up easily and has all normal functions set out clearly for ease of use. Had to purchase for my spare room television when my in laws came to town. Works great.

A Fine Remote Control. It worked well for me with my new Samsung TV. Note: You don't hold the buttons down for long periods of time. Use a quick press and release.

My dad needed a simple remote to run the TV and the cable box. Once I got it set up, he was able to use it. It did reset itself once but not sure if that was him or the equipment.

I had to return and exchange this item. Though it listed itself as Universal Remote on the Best By website and said it would operate a DVD unit, it does not. The unit operates only 2 devices and has no ability to be a DVD remote control (it uses the cable box to control a DVD and I do not subscribe to cable). BB as usual exchanged the item giving me credit towards an RCA 3 device universal remote that works beutifully to control my Samsung DVD BluRay unit and, also works the TV (now I have 2 remotes for the TV!)

I lost the control in the move for one of my older version televisions. Luckily i was able to find this universal control with a great price. It connected instantly and i never have any problems.

We have a pretty minimal set up (just an LG TV and Apple TV), so this was perfect for what we needed: turning on our TV and raising/lowering volume. Super simple step... was done within a minute!

I bought an Insignia tv in 2010, after a few years the original remote broke at the infrared...the led light( I guess that' s what you call it)! Then I find out my husband could fix it, but it was too late, I had already tossed it out. I wanted to connect my DVD Player to the tv but without the remote, I couldn't switch to dvd mode to watch my videos. With this new remote I'm able to watch my videos! Thank you for having the identical remote!!!

Perfect for a simple setup of a streaming device, sound bar, and tv. Easily setup and controls a Roku, a tv, and sound bar and controls them so easily my 6 year old can even do it.

My daughter lost the remote for our Sony TV, I chose this remote since I only use the basic functions, turns out that this remote is very easy to program and works great! And you can't beat the price!

In the past I have thrown out Universal remotes because I couldn't set them up. This Insignia Universal was SO..... simple to set up for my TV and Roku. Plan to get another for the bedroom.

At $6 this must be the best deal of any remote! It works perfectly. If it breaks, throw it away and buy another! But is simply has not broken and continues to work great!
