We had tons of slides from our parents and rather than taking them to a photo center to convert, which would be quite costly, I decided to get this machine. The machine was pretty easy to set up and start using and I have been able to easily start converting the slides and upload to a computer. Once on the computer, they can be manipulated as you wish. For my purposes, this worked great....I just wanted a means to get the slide converted into pictures and uploaded onto a computer. I have not yet tried converting negatives as I don't have many of those left from my 35mm camera, and I use a regular scanner for photographs, but I like having those options available if I need them. You work with 4 slides at a time...you set them into a rectangular flat tray and snap it shut and then put the tray into the machine. You can see the photo in a small window and can decide whether to click and save it or just move the tray to get to the next picture. It's a manual process and a little putzy but for the price of this machine, it is worth it.

I am an historical writer and frequently have a need to include old photos and slides in my documents. this scanner makes it much easier to copy old folded and scratched photos. the scanned output is then much easier to photoshop to clean up.

This is actually a digital camera in a box not a scanner, but it is very fast (a couple of seconds) and the resolution is acceptable for personal use. Scanning prints instead of slides or negatives shows the margin of the print holder and every one needs to be cropped afterward. The screen is small and low resolution. All that said it is a great way to digitally archive all those photos, negs and slides in that shoebox in the closet!

Biggest drawback is that older photos may be in size formats not accommodated by the supplied photo trays. Those prints may fall into the scanner cabinet and present significant challenges for retrieval. A tray with adjustable print retainer clips would be invaluable.

I had been searching for some way to get my negatives onto my computer. I was thrilled when I found this product. It is simple and easy to use and does a great job. I particularly like that it also does photographs.

Easy to use scanner did what the information said it would. A huge box of old (even 1890s photos) were scanned directly to SD card and can now be shared with family. Negatives are still negatives on media (what do I do with them?). Picture size limited to 5" x 7". Larger pics still had to be scanned by printer. Yes, I would buy it again. Now family can share it.

This device made going through 3000+ slides a very easy task. It was very easy to use.

The Pics 2 SD work exactly as described. Easy to use and is almost dummy proof. Put the picture in and hit the buttons. It takes les than two seconds to scan.

A very simple process for converting old slides to a SD card. All works well but the viewing window is a bit small.

Very easy to use, allows for pictures up to 5x7 allong with slides and negatives.

This is a great machine for the price and is easy to operate once you get the hang of it. It is great to enhance old slides and they come out looking better than before. The only downside to this machine is that you are limited to storing 7 slides in the machine's memory before you have to download them to a computer or flashdrive.

My plan is to download the boxes and boxes of hard photos and put them in my digital frame. No use having the photos and they are buried in boxes.

This Ion Audio Pics 2 SD works very fast in copying slides to a camera card. These will be downloaded to my Cannon picture account. So far, it works just great. I would have liked the screen to be a bit larger because it is hard to see what you are about to copy. Easy to use, works fast, very easy to set up, comes with all accessories you will need.
