I have hardwood floors throughout the house and have a big dog that sheds. I found the iRobot-Roomba 890 is great in cleaning up this. I like the convenience of being able to set it from my phone and have it cleaning while I am away from the house.

I love that I can turn the Roomba on and off from anywhere! Always have clean floors!

I like this unit. It finds its way back to the charging base when needed and works its way around the house taking care of the dust and dirt. If only it would empty itself :-) The 850 also works well on carpet, just wish it would climb up the stairs itself.

Bought this with high hopes and loved it to run alongside our regular vacuuming. It took a while to learn the area and we had to block certain places to prevent it getting stuck. Otherwise, worked really well for six months or so. After that, battery can’t hold full charge so it stops mid job and can’t return to base. Additionally, it sometimes starts randomly outside of scheduled operating times. Good while it lasted

Vacuum function is pretty good, it has a lot power! Yes it does get stuck on things, and dies some times. Doesn't always send a notification when it needs help.

Wife loves coming home with the carpet looking like it is always freshly vacuumed

Would give it 5 stars but it dies all over the house or gets caught under the lazy boy on the rails. Bin fills up too quickly. Otherwise it would be amazing.

Does a great job cleaning both carpet and hard surfaces and is a big time saver.

We bought this Roomba to replace one we got 6 years ago that was not holding its charge long enough. This model is more quiet and easier to clean. The ability to control it thru the app is a great feature. No problems so far.

Although a little noisy, I love that I can set it for as many days and whatever time I want. It does a good job. I have it set to run while I’m at work. It does at times get stuck somewhere but the app will let you know. Love it!

Great for cleaning small/medium sized home. Easy for people to use, but wish it had the mapping. If you can find this on sale, great investment.

We named our Roomba Rosie and she does an excellent job with keeping our floors clean. We have 3 cats and she is ran daily to keep the cat hair away. The cats do not bother with her one bit! She does a great job under furniture and beds. I like that I can activate her from my smart phone and she goes "home" after her work is done. She does have to be cleaned out after she goes "home". I would recommend this product for anyone who must vacuum daily due to pet hair.

Works as discribed. Picks a lot of stuff up and rarely get held up.

We've had our 890 now for about a year and while we do like it, it is really more of a light duty vacuum. It has missed on many light crumbs around the kitchen floors and does a lot of repetitive motions while still missing spots around the house. We have hardwood floors throughout with a small area rug in the LR area so for us, we just wanted something to keep the dust balls at a minimum. If you're just looking for light cleaning then it's a great little machine. If you need anything more than that, look for a better option.

Does a great job picking up dog hair and dust that the big vacuum leaves behind. Covers the area well. I wish the holding capacity was larger. Fills up quickly with dog hair but easy to empty.

I purchased a Roomba and am happy with it for the most part. It is better used in wide open spaces. It certainly beats pushing or pulling a vacuum.

I have the "Roomba" vacuuming at 1am every night. It is great.

This is our first Roomba. The thing I like about it are that it has great suction ability. The things I don't like about it are: the patterns are random and it sometimes gets stuck in a room or doesn't clean it thoroughly, has never been able to find home base unless I carry it and put it in the same room. I like the product but would definitely say that for our house (over 2000 SQ Ft) investing in a Roomba with mapping capabilities may be a better investment.

Vacuum works amazing! I can vacuum with my Dyson and turn this bad boy on right after I finish and it will still fill up with dirt and dog hair. It’s expensive but well worth it if you have animals indoors that shed.

I bought this for my wife for Christmas. It was only one of her gifts...i'm not that guy. She'd kill me if I only bought her a vacuum. I thought it might cut down the clean up of the hard wood floors upstairs and down. It works better if it has good open space to run. Occasionally will get stuck on a room transition or can't get home before the battery dies but those are rare. When it does happen, it shoots us a message on our phone. We are very happy with it. It has cut down our cleaning time a lot.
