    Much better than older Roomba's

I have about a 2300 sqft 1 story house (wood, tile, and some rugs), 1 30 lbs dog and 1 ten pound cat. I've owned a previous Roomba (can't remember which version) but it only had a recharging station and its behavior would be just randomly zig-zagging across my house, while always having to clear hair from the brushes and emptying the bins; my smaller house would still have areas that would go unclean. Pros with this Roomba however maps my house, empties itself, directs itself with more of a purpose, it'll run for about two hours on one charge, empty itself then finish the areas it didn't clean. Recent app changes have allowed more customized "no fly zones", it's run over cables and managed to spit it back out or find its way around it. The bags inside the docking station actually last a pretty good while (about a month) with it running 3 times a week. Cons: I still have to clear out the brushes from dog, cat and wife hair (definitely not as often), had to clean the metal charging plates on the Roomba and the docking station; reason being, it stopped charging. The disposable accessories; air filter on the Roomba, brushes, and throw away bags in the docking station can add up over time. And finally the $1000 price tag was very steep, but kept my wife happy from not having to vacuum the whole house 3 times a week.

I have been using these products for over five months now, and I must say they are excellent. They clean everything very well, and the vacuum's power is impressive. Additionally, I appreciate that the bags and accessories are not too expensive and are easily available. Cleaning the device itself is also a breeze, making the entire experience quite convenient.

I LOVE it! My husband set it up for me so I can't brag on that part but provided there are no power cords within reach of this machine....it works great! I use it while I am at work so that I am ready to mop when at home. I use it daily even if not mopping. It has seemed to help with my allergies...it was the only change.

What an amazing piece of technology. So easy to set up, does an amazing job and will fight to get into every nook and cranny, and empties itself. What more could you ask for out if one machine. I have a Labrador Retriever and this device is a life saver. I run it almost daily and I am hard pressed to find any noticeable hair in my house. I would highly recommend this vacuum and it is a man excellent value for the money.

I’ve had it for about 2 months and I really like it. It works well on my rugs and my cement floors. I like that that you can control it through the app from any location. It’s one less thing I have to worry about. The only complaint is that it is a little louder than I thought it would be but what vacuum isn’t ;)

This is our third Roomba. We have one for each level of our home. These self emptying models are the best. Set them up for a schedule to clean and let them do their thing. Makes cleaning so much less stressful for busy families or large homes. Can’t wait to see what the people of iRobot come up with next.

It's pretty good. Much better for a larger house than the random-walk vacuum that I used to have - but not perfect. The dock works well, except that my vacuum has a tendacy to miss-dock by a fraction of an inch and run out of batteries. The vacuuming patterns are pretty good, with three problems. The vacuum insists on clicking and clacking back and forth across thresholds even when I've done my best to mark the room boundaries carefully, it has a tendency to snag on power cords, and it occasionally knocks over a water dish or plant. The app is fairly easy to use, but it can be awfully slow to connect at times - I wish it connected faster. I also wish there was an option to 'snooze' a job, so I can pause it for a couple minutes without having to restart it later.

Wow! I love this unit. It does a great job. My dogs are afraid of it. They’re not used to it and it makes noise as it goes throughout the house. It’s not horribly loud in general but does get loud when it returns to the base to empty the trash. I wish I had bought it sooner.

I've wanted to try a robot vacuum for a long time and finally made the purchase before Christmas. It has exceeded my hopes!! I have arthritis in my knees and vacuuming is difficult. I have 2 cats so to be able to have the floors vacuumed everyday is fantastic!! It didn't take 'Hazel' long to map the house and at 7am every morning she's off and running. I can't recommend the iRobot Roomba i7+ enough!!

We could not be more pleased with this product. We have the Roomba 890 and have struggled with it getting lost, stuck on things and not making it back to base more times than it does. We do not have that issue with the i7. This roomba makes it back to based every single time, without issue. It does an amazing job of cleaning the areas that we have told it to, which is fantastic when thinking about the fact that we have dogs in the house. The mapping feature is just amazing, the roomba learns the layout of the your house, and then you are able to give names to each of the rooms. Based on the names you are able to schedule cleaning, we are able to tell it to clean the living room every other day, and the kitchen the opposite days. There is a great feature where based on the map it is possible to tell the roomba to avoid certain areas of the map, with a no go area, and this works so much better than the old invisible wall. The roomba empties itself after every usage, which means that you are not tracking cift and dust all over the floor all the time. The bags are surprisingly large, and they also tell you when they are full. The only drawback is that you must buy additional bags from iRobot. Overall I have not regretted this purchase for a single moment, and I would recommend anyone and everyone to get one.

Absolutely love this machine! Purchased to daily vacuum dog hair and kid crumbs on main floor hardwood floors and it does a great job. Mapping of the entire main floor of house was quick and easy adding room dividers and names was simple. Also ability to add areas where vacuum should not go is great to avoid it getting trapped under tables or vacuuming areas behind chairs/tables with cords.

So far, so good. We really only use it on the upstairs level since we have a tri-level house, but that's where we sleep and where the pet hair seems to need the most attention. Yes, we have two dogs that shed...a lot. This thing has been a miracle worker so far. Both carpet and vinyl plank and it does both very well. Along with a couple air purifiers, the upstairs just feels and looks better. Run it about 4 times a week. Seems to be pretty intelligent. Mapped the house quickly, only got stuck once, but that was more on us for leaving a bunch of cords out that it could not have "thought" its way out of. Even with the pet hair, the bin and bags seem to hold quite a bit. Picked up extra filters, brushes and bags on Amazon for cheap. Plenty of factory replacements available as well. All in all, pretty cool, but more importantly, very good at what it does. Expensive, but has proven its worth as of yet. Will update if anything less than expected rears its ugly head. Had it about a month now. People have complained about the noise when emptying into the bin...that noise lets me know that it's sucking every piece of debris and hair out of that thing, so I don't mind it for 5 seconds the once or two times I hear it.

Loved not having to vacuum my house. The only thing is you cant leave anything on the ground so if you have kids or pets and they have toys or anything on a string or small enough to get stuck in the vacuum itll happen. Also you cant have cluttered areas and struggles with chairs or couches that are too low. It may get stuck places and youll have to go look for it. But when it works. Its awesome not having to vacuum your house as often. Its like have a little robot maid.

When it’s running it’s great but I must admit it’s cantankerous. I have the app and it’s set to a routine, sometimes it doesn’t bother to come out. I may return and get another; we have been using Roomba since 2007 and the very first one was bomb proof, something changed.

I bought this model because my s9 had a problem with the drive wheels and Best Buy refunded me for it. I think this model is even better. Besides the fact that it doesn't have a drive problem, it maps better, cleans better, and is not as loud. I wish it had a biy more suction for high pile, but hey, not bad at all.

This model is picked due to the self emptying process. It is a great idea, however robot gets confused time to time. Misses the prescheduled times, mostly due to it needs some assistance. It works great when all is good. Just need to keep it clean from tangled hair and clean the metal connections once a month; replace the filter per schedule and keep an eye on the side brush since it requires to be replaced once in a while. The bag in the base unit for auto emptying is big enough for a few weeks in our case, depending the size of the home and the dirt to be collected. Overall a nice machine, but have to admit that we spend more time to keep it maintained well. The previous model was less maintenance compared to this even with the non-auto-emptying function. The app is easy to use to see which parts need to replaced and when, also change/adjust/update/add to the schedules. Have it setup for multiple days going into different rooms which helps a lot. Nice little helper at home.

After a ton of research on different robot vacuums I finally decided on the i7+ once it went on a decent sale. As far as cleaning goes the vacuum works great. I haven't noticed any dirt or pet fur left behind after it finishes vacuuming. The vacuum itself is surprisingly quiet, however the Cleanbase is VERY loud. I wish they would add an option to not have the Cleanbase empty the vacuum every single time it returns to base. This is my biggest complaint about the i7+. After having it for a few months now, I would almost prefer to have saved my money and gotten the version without the Cleanbase. The robot is not as "Set and Forget" as I hoped it would be with the self-emptying. My wife has long hair and it gets caught up in the sweeper brush and the roller, I have to remove it at least every other time I run the vacuum. That being said, it only takes a couple minutes and is still much easier to do than vacuuming the whole house manually. The mapping features are also very good
