Customers are saying

Customers express satisfaction with the Roomba s9+’s cleaning performance, mapping features, suction power, ease of use, self-emptying capabilities, and pet hair removal. However, some users note that the robot can be noisy and that its navigation system and battery life could be improved. Concerns were also raised regarding the robot's reliability and the relatively high price point. Overall, the positive feedback on cleaning and convenience is prominent, but potential buyers should consider the reported drawbacks.

We have a 100lbs Labrador that constantly sheds, the roomba i9+ picks up all the hair with no problem. The vacuum does an excellent job on both carpet and tile. It cleans our entire 1900 square foot home in about 2 hours. The bag has been able to hold 4 weeks worth of hair and dirt so far. I would highly recommend this vacuum.

The suction power of the s9+ is impressive. Make sure all cords and crayons are put away. As I learned the hard way. The roomba app and instruction manual warmed me before starting. But I missed a few cords. It’s much easier untangling cords from the s9+ than a regular vacuum. Gonna save up to buy a second s9+ for the other floor.

This robot is life changing if you have pets. The vacuum works so you don't have to. I love the option to turn off/on the Roomba when you are not at home. We were able to change the start times while on vacation and having some rooms painted.

Been using it for 6 months. I don't use it every day but al least once per week. Has never given me any issues. Cleans well and its effortless. I touch my phone and it starts cleaning, I have only change the bag once. This is the way l like to do my cleaning!

I think this is a great gadget at home. Makes cleaning easier. However i have porcelain tile, its unfortunate that we found scratches on my new tile flooring. Before purchasing this i called iRobot customer service to confirm that this is ok to use with tile floor and they said YES. I have to return it just because it scratches my porcelain tile. But i love to have this not on a tile floor ofcourse.

Haven’t quite gotten into advanced scheduling to test that part, but it rolls around and picks up dirt, empties and goes back to what it was doing pretty well. The battery did die in a bedroom without it making it back to charge on its own, but the door may have been shut - not sure.

Saves me a lot of time running the vacuum around my house, and easily gets under the beds. I've not had any experiences with it getting stuck like other models/brands. Definitely get the automatic dirt disposal tower. It saves you from regularly emptying the bin, and protects you from the dust collected (should you have allergies).

Impressed with the technology. Once it creates your house map, it covers all of the designated areas. Convenient to clean the most used / common areas at home. It hit the corners, underneath the beds, sofas etc. Just tell it to clean from the comfort of your smartphone and that's it, you can keep doing any other stuff needed at home.

Had issues a week after purchase with the s9+ giving me error 31 - Internal communications error. Apparently it does not like it when connected to my 5ghz network. Once I switched it to 2.4ghz, it started working again. Other than the couple days of frustration, I like the features and self disposal. On the app, I can control which area is off limit which is nice. I also like how its integrated with Alexa.

Okay, yes it's expensive. And I saw the reviews where people have had problems. We haven't had any. I tried the significantly lower priced auto-empty vacuum by the other manufacturer. This thing crushes it, as it should. After three runs my first floor was mapped and the smart maps were available. That meant the ability to set keep out zones, and schedule cleanings on a room by room basis. The other robot had 17 hours of run time without having completed my map, then I had to do a factory reset and everything was lost. It also doesn't have keep out zones, you rely on magnetic strips, which I had issues with. The roomba does what is supposed to and I can ignore it. I never got to that point with the Shark. The software is better, the experience is better. I chose the s9 instead of the i7 because our main floor is at least 50% carpet and we have two furry dogs. If we had mostly hardwoods or similar I would have considered the less expensive i7+

Our original one broke, but with the Best Buy warranty I was able to just walk in and exchange the old for a new one. We have dogs and so this works extremely well at keeping the floors clean of the dog hair. I love how it is connected to the Braava Jet so that when it finishes the entire house the mop starts working.

Worked ok for a while but we started having bin errors and the vacuum cleaner would just stop. Eventually Roomba was going to send a replacement but it never showed up. We tried it again after letting it sit for a month and it seemed to work better so we canceled the replacement order since it seemed we were not going to get a replacement. However, after about 2 to 3 weeks started getting the bin errors again. Told by Roomba that it was a s/w issue and the fix would be available in Oct. Until then its a piece of junk. Because its out of the 60 day window a refund is not available from Best Buy. A complet waste of money.

I’ve had the past 3 generations of iRobot. I upgraded from the i7+ with clean base to the s9+ with clean base. You’d think get the latest more expense model would offer additional features but it doesn’t. i7+ vs s9+ i7+ .... - is significantly quieter - doesn’t get tangled on cords - is able to transition from floors to area rugs - easily makes any turn and avoids getting stuck in tight spaces - does a great job cleaning the floors s9+ ..... - after 2 months of use 3 times a week has yet to make 1 single run without getting stuck - gets easily tangled on cords - can’t transition from floors to area rugs without getting stuck - is substantially heavier - the one and only plus is that it does a better job with straight edges Lastly I have two of these one on each level of my house and they are both equally poor. I am seriously considering going back to the i7+ with clean base as I find it to be a significantly better vacuum.

I did A BUNCH of research before I purchased this. Was not convinced I was paying extra for anything more than the name. My sister in law has the shark and loves it. I picked this because my apartment has vinyl, rugs, carpet and tile. It works well over every surface. I did have to get it repaired due to a full size bic lighter getting sucked into it. Make sure you get a protection plan on it!!!

Was concerned it would not yield results that met my expectations. Very high expectations based on price. Love it. House stays cleaner, partners OCD about dirt on the floor is gone. Really a great addition to the house tools. Getting the M6 mop next just cant find it as stand alone in black to match the 9+

Very loud, but works great and is VERY smart. My last roomba was one of the original models, and I am so impressed at the updates. If you are going to run this weekly or bi-weekly or more, it's worth the price! We have a ranch, so it's perfect for us. Drawbacks: VERY LOUD.
