I bought this for my wife as a Christmas present, thinking the most expensive unit on the shelf would reduce her stress level by providing consistent, programmed, attention-free dust and dirt removal. The unit failed almost immediately, and it nearly took an Act of Congress to get iRobot's customer service department to send a new unit, and it was a refurbished item when it came. When it is working, the unit has to wander through the house to learn the terrain. This takes a ridiculously long time, and the unit gets stuck on low-profile carpets and the slightest obstructions, so that you have to dislodge it and restart the learning process frequently. If considering this product, for the price, it may make sense to hire day laborers to mop the floor for your wife instead. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

Does at nice job. 2nd Roomba. Much more convenient than having to constantly emptying the dirt catcher. Dust bags are fairly small.

Absolutely love the new roomba, I’ve had them from the beginning . They get better with each model. Just need my kids to pick up Their stuff !!

This is an absolutely awesome vacuum and it does great on corners. Our only issue with it is we have super thick carpeting in our basement and it struggled with thick carpeting.

We were hesitant to purchase a robot vacuum since we have hard wood floors, rugs, carpet, and tile floors throughout our main level plus a Labrador that sheds a lot of fur all year long. We purchased this vacuum over three months ago and it hasn't been plugged with dog hair yet. We have only emptied the bag in its canister once. I love this product even more than my Dyson (which is saying A LOT)!

it makes my life much easier especially full-time jobs and kids and this is a must to maintain clean in the house.

I had this Roomba for 2 days and became very frustrated with it to the point I boxed it up and took it back to Best Buy. The vacuum was never able to completely map my house, it constantly got stuck, and the map that it did create was incorrect, and it was very loud.

Because of the terrible service I received when having issues with the s9+ and the lack of concern over how it was acting by iRobot. I have returned the s9+, the M6 mop, and the model 985 I had purchased. I understand trying a couple quick remedies to see if the issue is something simple but once those are done, when it continues to do the same thing over and over it should have been replaced asap. I read about the issues with it getting stuck all the time but figured I would try to see if it was just user error people were having. It’s not! This vacuum never once finished a job the way it is suppose to, it would stop every 5-20m and time out or find a wall or chair and just repeatedly bump it and then time out and need a reboot. The programming of this devise is horrendous and it barely has the power to clean taller carpet and spin the edge cleaner. The 985 was not perfect but it did a better job overall because it did not have the constant issues with needing to be restarted. I never even tried the M6 Mop after such frustration with the S9+. I returned them all and will wait until they improve the machine and programming. I did like the idea of the maps which made it possible to only hit the items needed each day. Highly disappointed is all I can say.

Outstanding performance and convenience, at a price. With a price drop, this purchase is a no-brainer.

This is a game changer. While expensive, it is so thorough and worth every penny if you have a large square foot area.

I was excited to upgrade to this from a Neato D5 but after a few days I am regretting it. It has finished mapping the house yet still runs into everything full speed. It is digging up my furniture and seems to not remember anything at all other than how to get back to the base. The neato navigation is far superior and gets the house done a lot faster. I don’t know why the Roomba takes so long but it takes ALL day 9-6 to clean a 1200 square foot house. I will sadly be returning this product.

Our German Shepard sheds constantly, and we couldnit keep up with the mess with our conventional vacuum cleaner-----but our Roomba s9+ can!

I'm loving my new Roomba. It is a replacement for a 960 and it's great not having to worry about dumping the bin every time you use it.

Works amazing! Press clean and relax. iRobot’s app super friendly to the user and it is easy to set up.

We have a laborer retriever. Our house needs swept a min of twice a week. This vacuum does a great job. We have a mix of hardwood, tile and rugs. They sweeper will raise and lower the power mode depending on what it needs. And with the mapping system you can send the sweeper to what ever room you wish. You do need to keep the clutter picked up such as cord or curtains that hit the ground. But once you figure out what needs to be picked up it is well worth the investment
