This unit is an upgrade from my Roomba 980. The 980 still had impressive cleaning performance, but the automatic dirt disposal dock and the room mapping made me take the plunge. I can honestly say, the s9 blows my 980 out of the water! I can definitely see an upgrade in the cleaning ability and I am very happy with the upgrade!

vacuum works great. however you need to replace bags often. bags are fairly expensive

It woke me up at 3am unfortunately. I had to return it because of that. Its way too noisy and kept bumping into my door when cleaning. I sadly still think there's a couple more years to go for these robots until they feel "smart". For now, I'll pass.

Makes life of vacuuming a little easier. Occasionally you might have to do a full reset or fuse with redoing the custom maps, but that’s easy compared to vacuuming the entire house. I like setting up rooms to clean individually as this makes it most efficient in my opinion.

If you want your floors -- hardwood and carpet -- to look great all the time this piece of wonderful tech is for you. Not sure we waited so long to get one, price maybe, but it's totally awesome and totally worth it.

Great cleaner and is very convenient for when I can’t sweep

Barely 6 months into owning this vacuum robot and with moderate use (a few times a week) iRobot has already replaced two parts for this unit. First I noticed the vacuum would not pick up my cat's fur from the carpet, so after following all the troubleshooting steps, iRobot customer service suggested replacing the cleaning head, and even after the new cleaning head was installed the robot still does not pick up my cat's fur. Then the battery started failing and the robot will just stop in the middle of a job and I am now waiting for the replacement battery in the mail... So, yes iRobot has a wonderful customer service and they do stand behind their products, but should a vacuum robot this expensive be so faulty? I don't think so.

I always stuck on error eight I have done everything I’ve clean the van many times I’ve change the filter and it’s still doing the same thing. Not happy at all. Too expensive for so many problems.

Robot and clean base make the perfect combination for hassle free cleaning. Just let it clean your space 2 to 3 times and you will be presented with a map of your rooms. In the app just name the rooms and thru the app put in room dividers, keep out zones etc.

Excellent device happy wife happy life easy to use

We have a Newfoundland which constantly sheds clumps of black hair. Our roomba is scheduled to come alive every evening to vacuum our entire floor. It does not replace regular deep vacuuming from a powerful standard vacuum because we have deep carpeting, but it does take care of the daily dog hair and toddler crumbs.

This is quite possibly the best gift I've ever gotten myself. With 2 hairy shedding dogs and a cat I run every other day. Does a great job and can't imagine owning anything else. If I had to empty bin on the vacuum i would have to stop it 3 times per run. So happy I bought this.

Software is just bad. I reallly wanted to like it. Started getting error 30 after a couple days. Replaced it with an i7 and I highly recommend that one.

Don't expect this b!t¢h to perform miracles completely on its own without working with the MF for a few times to learn it and work the kinks out based on your house. And please - pick all your mess all up from the floor so it'll do what it can to clean for y'all triflin'!!!

The concept of the unit is awesome, but it's not as productive as it is portrayed. Ended up returning the device after just a few uses as it did not do the job we expected. Much louder than we expected as well.

Roomba works well on our hardwood, vinyl and carpets.

This is my third irobot vacuum! Absolutely love them. Teally like the dump basket! Also so much more quieter then my old one. Easy to setup with wifi & apps. Everyone has to name theirs! I named everyone of ours Aunt Bea

OK one of my least favorite things to do is vacuum so this little guy has made my life exponentially better! I linked it to my Amazon Alexa so I just tell Alexa to have my iRobot clean and it does its' thing! I have a dog that sheds like crazy and you wouldn't even be able to tell anymore. LOVE this purchase!

I have 5 cats and this vacuum is used everyday to help control the cat fur on the floor.
