Beware of error 31 code issue!!!! - where the Roomba is not communicating to the cloud on this S model. Started out working fine, then would stop with the red ring of death displayed on it. Dealt with this for a couple of months before it now no longer communicates and will not run at all. Roomba definitely knows of this issue (comes up on the app that “its only on a limited number of Series S units”) and said that they will send a replacement in 5-10 working days. After 11 days no Roomba yet. Their answer: its on backorder. I asked again how long - now at least 4 weeks!!!!! Must have a lot of returns if the backorder now is that long - I doubt this problem is only on a “limited number of Series S units”. Paid over $1,000 for a what looks like a tombstone in my family room with a round led light on it, thanks iRobot for the lack of customer support, especially when I still see these being sold in stores. Fix the problem and replace my Roomba or issue a full refund.

We purchased this unit online about a month ago. The first unit did not work as soon as we took it out of the box. We called Roomba, and they sent us a second unit. It lasted a couple days, then stopped working. We called Roomba again and they sent us a third unit. Again lasted a couple days then stopped working. Now we are trying to get a refund from Best Buy and they will not refund because we are past the original 15 day return policy.

My wife loves this chor helper , this is a great product to help with the home maintenance chores

I fear the robots will take over one day, but this one is not quite threatening enough to avoid purchasing

I wanted to love this Robot so much. I have purchased three and returned all three. The first worked for about a week and gave a bumper/cliff error non-stop. iRobot replaced it by sending me a new one. The replacement kept giving a cliff error. I ended up asking for a full refund. Then, I tried getting another one a few months later. This one gave a battery error right out of the box. I immediately returned it to Best Buy. Thinking I have the worst luck ever, I decided to try again. I purchased another one today. It spun in circles and gave a bumper error right out of the box. I disappointedly returned it the same day I got it. As I said, I SO wanted this to work as I love the technology, but alas it does not. I have to say these experiences have turned me off of iRobot for the foreseeable future.

Does a decent job on hardwoods and low level carpets, but get stuck alot under stools and thick carpet.

All those years of emptying the dirt container.... uggh. This baby empties itself. It’s worth the money!!!
