Works well when it works

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had several robot vacuums before, first from iRobot and recently from Nesto. I liked that iRobot had moved away from circle shaped, random pattern vacuuming. Bought this at end of November. Set it up, which is very easy, programmed and let it run. The vacuum started with no issues and managed the clean my rooms enough times to get the maps defined. One day it got an “error 31” code - a mysterious error code from iRobot that seems to be a catchall for critical errors - and stopped vacuuming. I reset, per the instructions, and started again with no issues. Then I got another error 31, and another and another. Now the vacuum won’t even start - it just messages me in the app that It has an error 31 and cannot run. I work a lot, so haven’t had the time to call their service group yet, but for a $1200 vacuum, I expect it to work more than a few times before becoming a total brick. At this point, I would not recommend to anyone.

This vacuum gets stuck

It is not very good at finding its way around different items and things that block it on the floor. I often have to come pick it up and move it and turn it around

Can't find rooms, Misses spots in rooms it does.

When I send it to vacuum the room next to the room with the base station it goes past the door and tries to find a way through the wall. Also frequently will not dock. When it does find it's way back to the base station it lines up 2 inches off center and gets stuck half off the base.
