Best Buy service was good. A lot of effort went to get this product shipped to where we were staying and unfortunately it doesn’t go. We’re based in Australia so now have an expensive Roomba ornament which is disappointing and not great for what is meant to be a leading edge product.

I had never tried a Robot vac before and actually was never interested in this type of technology. When I had the opportunity to try this device out, I did not know what to expect and had low expectations. My expectations were quickly exceeded when I started trying this out. Not only is this one of the most innovative technology masterpieces I have ever tried, it is so easy to set up, use and program, it blew my mind. This may look small, but it packs serious power and cleans any area. The best thing I saw with this, it never gets stuck. It is so smart, it works itself out of tough areas like the back of toilets and in tight corners. The app is easy to use as well and the best thing which blew me away, this works with my Alexa using voice commands. Once you program this and it maps your house, you can tell Alexa to have this device clean a certain room and it will enable this to come out and clean it. Plus it has a built in disposal, so once it docks, it empties itself automatically. I quickly was sold on this device and could not believe the capabilities. Now price wise, yes a bit expensive, however, seeing I am a big Dyson customer usually and a Dyson stick vac goes for $700, why not just scrap that and buy this device instead? The one thing I wish this thing could do is climb stairs since I have three floors in my house. However it is not hard to just carry this downstairs to the basement or upstairs to the bedrooms which I might do. I would highly recommend this device. It is unbelievable and iRobot is a great company in my book!

Best thing about this robot vacuum: it empties itself into the provided bin. There are a lot of other good qualities too-- IT IS POWERFUL. I had other robot vacuums-- they do their usual rounds, they clean, and sometimes they don't. This one however, sucks everything in it's path. I had to get used to it-- the instructions advised about getting loose items out of the way. Just do it. It carried my flip flops, it sucks my mat, it even dislodged my running wire that was taped onto the floor. It is powerful but you have to get used to its power (and noise-- yes it's noisier). So everytime it's scheduled to run, I needed to make sure the mats and rugs are out of the way, and any dangling items like couch covers hitting the floor should be taken out. I have some issues with it on thicker floor rugs. It is too powerful that it gets itself stuck on thick rugs. So that too, I need to remove when it has to do the cleaning. I won't even mention setup and cleaning-- it is easy to follow and very convenient (especially the self-cleaning and disposal!!!). It took me some getting used to, on which items I needed to make sure I remove from the floor before I run it. Adds a little bit to the cleaning process, if you ask me. however, the trade-off is, it doesn't need to go back to areas it already passed (like other vacuums) because this one surely will clean everything in its path! Oh, and it has pretty good feedback too from the app and the unit itself. So you totally know what's going on when it's out and about. Pretty good robot if you ask me.

I’ve tried a few robot vacuums over the last few years but was never convinced it was truly the best option for my household. So I was skeptical that this one would change my stance. Surprisingly it almost has me convinced. Almost. I always hated that the capacity robot vacuums had to hold dirt was very limited so using it while I was away from home seemed pointless if no one was there to empty it so it could complete it’s job. This one eliminates that concern. It also seems to work much better than other versions I have tried in learning the layout of the rooms and not getting stuck as often. So far it got stuck once but afterwards when it cleaned the same room it seemed to remember the area. That is definitely a positive for me because I would often come home and find other robots getting stuck in the same places and therefore not completing the job. It does a great job on both my hardwood floors and well as my carpeted areas. The only reason I say that I am almost convinced robot vacuums are a great value is because I feel like it is a supplementary product. I wouldn’t feel comfortable with it being my one and only vacuuming solution. I still feel like a weekly thorough cleaning requires a “true” traditional vacuum with the robot being the in between daily freshing until my next thorough cleaning. Especially if you have animals that shed a lot (which I definitely call the robot a lifesaver versus being forced to manually vacuum daily to avoid massive pet hair build up). Keep in mind with this item there are bags that have to be replaced so this isn’t a bagless option you may have become accustomed to. The bags are not reusable so you will have to purchase bags perhaps a couple of times a year depending on how much your robot ends up having to pick up. For some that may be a deterrent, but it is the only way to get the convenience of not emptying the dirt often. Not sure of replacement bag prices but it’s something to keep in mind when considering this. It comes with 2 bags so you do have time to learn how often you can expect to have to replace a bag. Overall this is a pricey option but the added convenience may be worth it.

I have tried other robot vacuums before but this iRobot Roomba s9+ robot vacuum is a game changer. The vacuum is sleek, smart and powerful. The base contains dirt disposal where this Roomba empties out the dirt automatically. No need to clean the bins every time the vacuum is full. The suction is powerful and does pretty good cleaning of the dirt. It scans your home and creates a map and navigates through the home to clean. The app is essential to the use of this vacuum. You can also use the app to set times of when you want to clean as well as control the areas. The app lets you map out the floor with which you can set your schedule and detailed areas of cleaning. I didn't had much issues with switching between primarily hardwood floors and a large carpet in the middle of the room. This Roomba can be connected to Google Assistant or Alexa and you can control it via voice activated commands. The detailed cleaning mode can be louder for some. But the quite clean mode does take longer to clean compared to detailed cleaning mode. You also have a custom cleaning mode where you can set the suction power and the number of times the vacuum can go over an area. The dirt bags are placed in the base/tower, which is supposed to hold 30 bins of dirt, and the dirt gets sucked into the bag. These bags are disposable, which means you will have to keep buying new ones for dirt disposal. Despite the higher price, this is definitely a great robot vacuum and will last longer with proper care and maintenance.

I am disappointed in how it handles dog hair, but if I use it frequently enough, it does a nice job of cleaning. I like how easy it is to operate. I like that it works with Google assistant. It just clogs and rollers get bound up more than I hoped for something that recommends itself for pet owners.

Stopped working after a few months. Very difficult to get a replacement. Unnecessary hoops to go through in the process. Still trying to get it replaced 6 months later.

Was not happy with this product the first day it worked fine and scanned the area well but after that when I scheduled to clean it was lost and stopping all the time returned it within a week

It never works, always needs human intervention. Clean filters or brushes blocked when it is as clean as can be. First time we used it it stopped and asked you to clean it...it is brand new, never been used...????!!!!

We couldn’t even get it started. I believe we got a lemon. We returned it to the store. We decided to not exchange it for another and to do more research on other brands.

So far, disastrous! Four days in and poopmaggedon happened - so much for those upgraded sensors. iRobot's technical support is super slow to respond. Not a happy camper with my first robot vacuum.

Very disappointed. Doesn’t vacuum a normal carpet and pushed up thin Turkish rugs. Called support they stopped answering emails. Very disappointed.

Constantly have to follow this unit around to babysit it. Have to help it auto dump. It has no boundary markers. Very disappointed with this expensive purchase. I should have bought a shark!

Don’t get this model. Lots of bugs that aren’t worked out. I’m now on my third replacement robot under warranty.

I am not a huge fan at the moment, seems to get caught up a lot, the nightly setting doesn't seem to want to operate either. Not sure I will be keeping this.

Useless piece of crap , doesn’t map, doesn’t vacuum, leave dirt behind , goes in circle around itself , good for nothing

I have gone through two of these IRobot’s now and the one they are sending me has been on back order for over a month now. Not sure it is worth the $1000 price tag.

Gets error 9. It has never worked and the customer serve from iRobot has been impossible to reach. We plan to return it to the store and try a different one. Andy

Got the top of the line. Wanted it to be great but it just was not. Wouldn’t go back to the doc, didn’t auto empty.

Have been having connection issues. Waiting for IRobot to send me a new machine, but they are on back order.
