Customers are saying

Customers express satisfaction with the Roomba s9+’s cleaning performance, mapping features, suction power, ease of use, self-emptying capabilities, and pet hair removal. However, some users note that the robot can be noisy and that its navigation system and battery life could be improved. Concerns were also raised regarding the robot's reliability and the relatively high price point. Overall, the positive feedback on cleaning and convenience is prominent, but potential buyers should consider the reported drawbacks.

S series has excellent suction power. Running an in home dog boarding and day care business vacuums are extremely important. This one has exceeded expectations

Stops in the middle of the laminate floor and states the rollers are stuck or filter is blocked. Neither are compromised. Does not clean hair off our rugs. It rolls the hair up into long spaghetti looking objects all over the rug. Will vacuum the rug separately with a brush style roller and that does the trick. Look our for floor vents, you'll know what I mean when this thing goes over top.....Otherwise it seems to work well and the floor mapping it really accurate.

Hands down - worth every penny. This is an upgrade from an earlier model and I couldn’t be more pleased. It works as good as my manual vacuum cleaner. I thought my other one was fabulous, but this one is SO much better. It goes under, around, corners, hard floors, carpet, rugs and allows for my puppies toys.

We like everything about this vacuum except that it is loud. But we realize that it has a lot more power.

This is an amazing robot, cleans really well. smart and expensive for a vacuum. But you are really not paying for the vacuum you are paying for the convenience of not vacuuming. It's like a service almost. Over time will pay for itself. Hopefully :) I only have 1 issue with it that it takes a 4 charges for it to vacuum. It just feels like it is a little too much. I have to get it started at night and its done by the morning.

This Roomba iRobot was so easy to set up and operate. It is completely set up for each of our rooms and goes directly there when we request so. We were amazed at the accuracy of the floor map after only two learning trials. It cleans well, empties its own trash, and knows when to return to the base for recharging. And it's really fun to watch!

We have a somewhat crowded apartment so we had to do a few things to accommodate the robo-vacuum. And before we set it to clean, we move some loose things from the floor but, overall, it is a real time saver and we expect to use it for years. (I just wish it had a pause function.)

I ordered the i3 model first from Amazon but the next day I changed my mind and wanted the S9+. It was too late to cancel the i3 so I figured I would just return it when it came. I got the S9+ the next day after ordering it which gave me a chance to see if I liked it before the i3 was delivered. Long story short, the S9+ was really nice, had great suction, worked with Alexa, etc., but was too loud. I could not bare to hear it for the hour and 1/2 it took to clean the downstairs. My son was live streaming and even his chat room was asking what that noise was. And omg, the noise it makes when its emptying its contents into the automatic dirt disposal was worse! I returned it. So when the i3 finally showed up, I figured I would keep it regardless if it was loud because it only cost me $318 (I could not justify keeping the S9 at a cost of $1099 and it being intolerable). But to my surprise, the i3 was so much more quieter than the S9 believe it or not. So unless you have money to burn, just go with the cheaper models. They do just as good a job and are much quieter. Unless you don't mind 90 mins of a loud vacuum sound.

Have had a Roomba for years and finally wore it with our husky that sheds 365 days per year. I can tell the suction on this is far greater than our previous model. Have mapped the rooms several times but it sometimes doesn’t find its way back home. Strange that it can’t “see” in total darkness. We usually run it downstairs at night while we sleep. Wish the navigation or seeing would improve

Vacuum works great. Ive yet to have to empty the bin. It’s pretty loud, but I’ve grown to ignore it. Only thing is that it gets scuff marks on the front from bumping into everything. You would think the camera would detect something and stop a few cm or mm from the wall but no, it bumps into everything like a junebug! Other than that, i love having it!

Roomba - my new favorite appliance

Roomba is still mapping our large house but it does a great job overall. We have one area rug that is a cat hair magnet and it's the only thing in the house the Roomba struggles with a bit. Unlike my iLife robotic vacuum, Roomba hardly EVER gets stuck, and with the help of the Roomba app, I know where it is and what the problem is. The iLife used to like to get stuck under the king sized bed right in the middle against the wall at the head of the bed - nearly impossible to get to it. No such worries with the Roomba! And I LOVE that it takes itself back to base, empties the dust bin, recharges, then continues on with its task! Yes it's a bit noisy when it empties the bin but it takes less than 10 seconds. Even the cats are used to it by now. Great purchase and I'm very happy with it so far. Once all the mapping is done and we can name the rooms we'll be able to schedule it for certain times/rooms. As it is, it's easy enough to start it running using the app from anywhere in the house. Gotta love it!

Purchased 12/21/2020 with the intention of replacing my upright vacuum. I live in a rural environment that brings dirt regularly into the house. The Roomba S9+ WiFi was recommended to me and glad they did. When I unboxed it and followed the instructions on how to use it, I set it loose. All I can say is amazing that it was able to map the floors and locate furniture to avoid. The Roomba also cleaned to the floor edge stopping short of falling down the stairs. Overall the floors were cleaned as well as my upright and actually covered more floor area due to its mapping capability. The map learning process is very intuitive, and needs very little from the user. Since I have owned it for six weeks I have noticed a few updates to the map app that works from my cell phone, which by the way is handy if you want to clean while away. Or better yet, you can set a weekly cleaning schedule. Couple areas you need to consider are: It is a machine and must be maintained as directed to prevent any unintentional cleaning issues, You need to check your floors for any items left on the floor that might interrupt the cleaning. Be patient as you learn how the machine works and how to map your floors. Once mastered, the Roomba does a great job and in my case allows me the freedom from vacuuming on a regular basis which my house requires.

Living with my new Roomba for a month and 3 days, it's time for a review. Does great on hard surfaces, and picks up all the dog hair your furry family members will shed. Haven't tested any spots on my Ruggables sectional carpet with my Dyson to see if there is much left behind though. No other carpeted surfaces to test out, so hard saying how well it does for higher pile carpet. I did have an issue the other evening while it was heading back home to dock in an adjacent room that was fairly well lit, but the office where the dock is, didn't have a light turned on. In my opinion the room had enough residual light to be able to find its way back to the docking station...yet, it did not. It roamed around drunkingly, trying to find its way, but not ever really coming close. I had to pause what we were streaming, turn on the light, and yet it still didn't find its way. It went directly to the right of the dock, confused still, and decided to roam around for another 2 mins until I manually hit the home button on the unit itself. There should be a sort of homing beacon on the dock to communicate with the unit. 8/10

Very good vacuum for mid sized houses

We have a 2 story house with about 5000 sq ft of vacuum-able space. The downstairs is about 3400 sq ft and the upstairs is 1600 sq ft. It struggled to map the downstairs, however, it did not have any trouble with the upstairs at all. So if you have a mid sized house in the 2500 sq ft range, then this is a very good robot vacuum for you. It cleans real well such that I have not had to deep vacuum since I bought this!

This little guy cleans like crazy! It does take some time to map your home, but be patient, it's worth it. I run mine at least once a week and it does a great job. It's best to sweep the smaller spaces and map it so he doesn't get stuck in tight spots. You won't be disappointed!

I upgraded from a previous model that did not have the automatic dirt disposal. This vacuum can doo the whole house with no trouble and does a very good job. Take the time to make mapping runs first and them setting up rooms and favorite schedules is very easy.
