THIS MICRWAVE IS JUST WHAT i NEEDED, THERE IS ALOT OF SPACE INSIDE. IT GOES PERFECT WITH MY KITCHEN. ITS VERY EASY TO USE. PUCHASE DURING BLACK FRIDAY ON SALE.

This is a powerful microwave, cooking most foods in half the time of older units. Has all the standard features. Two problems... 1) The wave guide cover eventually sparks, signaling that there is metal present. Where the cover accumulates the small metal deposits is a mystery. Certainly not from anything I insert in the oven. Easy enough to remove the wave guide cover and scrape away the metal deposits. I can see buying a replacement if problem #2 doesn't occur first. 2) The door latch begins sticking in the closed position, worse by the week, until one has to use a fork to pry the door open while pushing in the door release button. Kitchenaid does not repair Microwaves, but simply replaces them under warranty instead. Mine has been replaced twice in 17 months, making the current one my third unit. Waiting for the door latch to go bad on this one.

I had an older version of this microwave that needed to be replaced after 4 1/2 years because the magnetron stopped working properly. Luckily I had an extended warranty and received a full refund. All of my appliances are KitchenAid. I chose to purchase another because of this and also because I like the functions and performance of this microwave. Of course, I also purchased an extended warranty.

Light weight, easy to carry and set-up. Simple instructions and ease of use. Only had it for a few weeks, but use it several times a day and have only praise.

big and powerful makes a lot of noise when starting

Let's face it, microwaves are microwaves. This one certainly meets our needs. It's missing a couple presets that our old microwave had, most specifically a "melt" and "soften" butter mode but adjusting power level and time is easy enough (and that job is so rarely necessary) that I'm not going to ding it a star for that.

We upgraded from a Kitchen-Aid 1.6 c.f microwave to the 2.2c.f. model. Same great performance, just bigger.

Purchased this after our whirlpool went out. Super quiet and very stylish. Kitchen aid always makes a great product. Very happy with purchase

This has all the important features of a higher priced product but without the significantly higher price. It is very easy to use and does everything we want.

This is a replacement due to the old one started leaking around the front window seal and the light went out.

My old microwave went up days before Christmas. I ordered this one and it was delivered in two days. Large cavernous opening, easy operation and turntable.

Our first one we got had a huge dent in the stainless frame. So we got another one shipped out and after a few days, the latch doesn’t work on the door. It’s very hard to open it. And you literally have to stick your finger under the door to help “unlatch” it. This happened w our previous kitchenaid microwave as well. We had to get the same one as the frame was built in. I wouldn’t have gotten this one had it not been for the custom frame. Now I need to figure out how to return this for another w a working latch to open the microwave door. Ugh..

Great design. Performs as advertised. Very pleased.

It is a nice microwave but the turntable is small. I don’t need big but it barely fit a regular size plate. Overall happy with it!
