    LOST IN THE MUSIC!!!

I am going to start of with how beautiful these floor speakers are. The ebony wood casing with the copper speaker diaphragm just look elegant yet graceful. The speakers do come with a magnetic mesh cover, but I have not put them on because they just cover up these beautiful speakers. Beauty means nothing if these speakers can’t produce. Let me tell you these speakers by Klipsch sound amazing. I had always been a soundbar guy just because of they are more convenient and don’t take up as much space but once you try out these speakers it will change your mind. The music and the movies, everything sounds so much better, everything is just so much crisper and clearer and clean to give you a better immersive experience. I did find myself being lost in the music just because how amazing the sound quality was. You can distinctly hear the different instruments, the ranges, the pitches, the highs and the lows. Some speakers start to distort at higher levels but that was not the case with these speakers. Everything was on point regardless of what you throw at them. When used as a complete set for a home theater system, the speakers combined with the center channel and the surround speakers and the sub, it will give your movie experience a new meaning. The dialogues are cleaner and clear and can be heard easily, while simultaneously allowing you to hear more of the background sounds in the movie. The sub is easily able to handle the hard-hitting notes but is not overwhelming. One cool feature about these floor speakers is that they can be paired with the Klipsch surround sound speakers with the provided input jacks in the back of the speaker for the Dolby Atmos elevation channel. You will see a rubber cover on the back of the speaker with the words “Dolby Atmos”. Simply remove the rubber cover to reveal the height elevation input jacks. The manual provided with the speaker can guide you on proper placement for your setup.

I have been a longtime fan and owner of pretty much anything Klipsch for over twenty years. I have regretfully strayed from my Klipsch dedication a handful of times with other speaker manufacturers and ended up right back here. The first Klipsch floor standing speakers I purchased lasted me over twenty years with no issues and sounded just as good today as when I bought them from an electronics store that is unfortunately no longer in business. I decided it was time for a well-deserved upgrade to the latest technology after upgrading my receiver and landed on the Reference R-800F speakers for my main front speakers. The main stand out feature Klipsch uses compared to other makers that any audiophile would agree with is their exclusive Tractrix horn technology with their Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) aluminum tweeters they pair with their main drivers. The horn style tweeters sound extremely crisp and loud while allowing sound to travel throughout the area their facing. Another stand out feature you can see that distinguishes Klipsch’s Reference series and their mid and/or lower end speakers is their Copper IMG woofers. Using the built-in crossovers to ensure you are providing the right frequency range to the right speakers, the Copper drivers sound amazing and are very responsive to sound. The combination of these speakers and the technology Klipsch uses make them sound amazing for movies, games, music and anything else you throw at them. At approximately 43” tall, the 800F speakers are quite large so I would ensure you measure your space accordingly before committing to these monsters. The cabinets are MDF surrounded by black scratch resistant, textured wood grain vinyl. There are four speaker connections on the back of the floor stands, two for the main speakers and the other one labeled “Height” are for connecting Atmos speakers (not included) through the floor stands. I love that they combined this feature with the new model, especially considering most new technology is using Dolby Atmos now. You won’t be disappointed with the sound of these but make sure you pair a powerful enough amplifier or receiver with them and have the space for them. Combine these monsters with the rest of Klipsch’s Reference line of speakers and you’ll have an amazing sounding surround sound stereo system which should last you decades like they have for me. These are now the main speakers in our movie/game room and blow everyone away with the incredible sound they provide.

I have owned a lot of speakers over the years. Home theater has been a passion of mine for a long time. For me, I usually find that, unless you spend big big money, floor standing or tower speakers come with a trade off. They either sound great for home theater but only ok for music or great for music but only ok for home theater. That is NOT the case by any means with these speakers. I am so impressed with how well and effortlessly they handle both music and effects. I love all kinds of music, from country and rap to opera and rock. These speakers handle all of those genres very well. The detail and depth is there and, to me, 100% accurate. The highs and mid range are crystal clear and the vocals as well. The low end is phenomenal. The bass these put out is very very impressive. I have them set to full band for the crossover and they handle it so well. Now, for sound effects. Every bullet, train passing, explosion and whatever else you can think of sounds so realistic and really makes my jaw drop every time. The look and style is the same is the other speakers in this series, black on black with magnetic grilles and the horn tweeter and copper woofers. Another thing I absolutely love is the ATMOS connectivity. It allows me to connect the ATMOS modules without have to run a separate cable to them. Instead the input is at the bottom and there is an input at the top for the ATMOS modules. This is so nice and makes it easy on the eyes. Overall, very happy with these bad boys!

To round off a newly installed surround sound system, dual standing floor speakers were added to the mix. These towers are exactly what you are looking for if you are wanting to book end an entertainment center with rich, immersive sound. These speakers are heavy so make sure you properly move them into their correct positions and make sure to have ample speaker wire at your disposal too as these speakers to not come with any provided. There is even a handy built in cord clip on these speakers to assure a tidy presentation and that the cords don't get messy. The rose gold speaker accent colors are great, and match other speakers in this line to assure a seamlessly visual experience. Hooking up will be a breeze assuming your receiver has the correct markings for each channel to align to. The sound of these speakers is amazing, just like the other speakers in this line, the sound is crisp, responsive and loud (if needed). If you are looking for a great experience I would recommend this line of speakers to provide a top tier audio experience. When paired with a good receiver this set up is sure to open the eyes of those who are on the hunt for a great pair of floorstanding speakers!

When placed correctly and after a few hours of normal use, these speakers sound absolutely fantastic. The level and the tight Bass it produces is totally unexpected. Highs are very clear, noticebaly better than Def Tech BP-9060s that I tested right next to them. Connected one of these R-800s to the right channel and a BP-9060 to the left, then used a left and right speaker test on youtube to hear the difference. Bass without any additinal subs is obviously better on BP-9060 but mids and highs are definitely better on the R-800f. Returned BP-9060 after reading reviews about Amps failing on these and kept the Klipsch R-800f. That was over a month ago and the Klipsch have only gotten better. At times they can sound a little too bright but I’m able to adjust that by changing Dialog Enhancement settings on my Denon Receiver App. BP-9060s are amazing, I just didn’t want to take a chnace with the amps blowing out in leas than a year, like many people have reported.

I have had these about 2 weeks now. They sound excellent! Great depth of sound, very clear, good highs mid and lows. They were on sale for $420 and excellent value for the price. I was looking at the $1000 plus and I can’t say they are any less quality. Very happy.

I bought a pair of Klipsch speakers on sale. They sound good. I only wish the cabinet came in brown instead of black. I realize that the cabinet must be a certain size for acoustic reasons, but I still wish they were a bit shorter for a home environment.

    Super towers!

I've always wanted floor tower speakers instead of using bookshelf for my main left/right in my older setup. Enter the Klipsch 800F and wow. Just blown away, literally and figuratively. In the box comes the one tower, paperwork, screws to install the feet, front and rear feet. Installation is easier with 2 people, but I did it myself on a cushion on the floor to avoid damaging the beautiful finish. It's simpler to open the top, take out the package with the screws and feet then turn it upside down on a cushion (not really needed as it has a large/thick styrofoam piece to protect it. Make sure the feet are orientated the correct way then screw in the screws but not too tight as it can damage the tower. I used 14 AWG to connect both towers to my Onkyo receiver's left and right channels and also ran another pair from the receiver's Height output to the tower's 2nd input for Height for the Atmos speakers on top of them. Love how this makes adding Atmos later so easy. Sound is clearly amazing. Highs, lows and mids were on point. In my 7.1 setup you can hear everything and feel the punch from them. If you just want towers, at least pair them with a great sub like the Klipsch 121SW and you'll be golden. The grille is magnetic so if you want to show off the beautiful copper cones, it's a great option. The black cabinet is nice to look at and would fit in any room. Would recommend these in a heartbeat to people looking for great towers.

I have a small listening room, it's a 12x16 living room in a small 1 bedroom apartment so these speakers alone are more than enough to fill the area with awesome sound. I have them as my fronts on an Onkyo TX-NR6050, replacing a pair of R-620Fs which got bumped to surrounds, which in turn bumped my R-610Fs to the rear. I also have an R-52C center and a pair of R-12SW subs. These R-800Fs are definitely more than I needed sound wise as far as filling the room but they do fill a gap that was present between the 6.5" woofers and the 12" subs and I don't have to push my amp hard to get plenty of awesome sound filling the space. This keeps the heat generated by pushing amps down and will therefore prolong the life of them because heat is an amps worst enemy, only second to user error. I have never melted an amp either in my home setups nor my car audio systems because I always make sure there of enough power to be able to run the amps at moderate levels to accomplish big sound. It's not really any more expensive, especially if you take into account the cost of replacing a fried amp, you just have to know or be willing to learn how to pick your components and when and where to shop for them. I got these at half the MSRP retail price. I grabbed them because I could and I'm very glad I did. The previous reviewer who did the overview article mentioned a few times that they are lacking somewhat in the mid range and I would have to agree but unless you're a snobby audiophile who wouldn't own Klipsch Reference series speakers anyway its not very noticeable and it fills in some as they break in. When I first turned the system on after connecting them I was far from impressed but I turned up the volume a bit and ran some albums from a few different genres that are standards recommend by experienced speaker testers and then a few select tracks that I have picked out myself for a final break in session that I have put together myself based on my listening preferences because I don't generally listen to commercially produced music. I have amassed a substantial collection of music from genres, artists, and labels that I guess would be considered "underground" to those who don't understand that there is a vast universe of great music out there that is not exposed via the major record labels and radio exposure that is repetitively served up for the masses. That is where my listening preferences reside. The basic genre structure is the same, it's just better music by better artists and lots and lots of it and thanks to modern technology it is now available to anyone who desires to step off the beaten path. Although not surprisingly, few seem to have the willingness to do. Very few people recognize any of the music I listen to although they do claim to enjoy it however step right back into their fabricated comfort zones as soon as they leave my presence. Sadly for them and most people it seems they are limited in scope and not ready to step out of the box. It's a shame but not much I can do to change besides just keep exposing it as much as possible in hopes that some of it at least will catch their attention enough at some point in order for them to start seeking on their own. But after my own personal break in and the standard and a couple of movies that I also use as reference to the same tune as my musical interests, the mid range has stepped up a notch at least as far as I hear it. I am super happy with these and any mid range that may be left lacking in these is quickly filled in when I set the system to utilize all of the channels with the other speakers I have. So this condition is not even a factor for my system because the Onkyo handles the surround processing for any video that I feed it and I usually listen to music in "all channel stereo" mode and if I do want just 2 channel stereo for music I am able to set either the fronts or either of the surround positions to play it that way so if these are missing any of the full range of sound, I can simply set it to play on the R-620Fs or the R-610Fs. These are definitely the right ones to completely fill in my sound requirements and I do recommend them to anyone looking for a similar outcome. If you mainly listen to commercially available music in 2 channel stereo, these will still sound decent to most people but if you are a serious audiophile, there are probably more suitable options on the market. Hope this helps in your quest for the ultimate speakers for your preferences.

I purchased two of these speakers and they are MONSTERS. You can push these speakers louder than you ever need them to be and still the sound quality is clear without distortion. Great for playing music, movies, really whatever. They have tons of bass which some might want to eq a bit. The build quality is really great, they are pretty heavy and a bit bigger than I thought. Make sure you have the room for them.

Those speakers sound phenomenal!!! I'm not a big sound tech guy but in my opinion they're well balanced.. treble, bass, and the loudness of them is excellent especially for price of them! I purposely waited until the holiday season to buy those to catch a sale. The materials used to bring those speakers to life is great and the way I can take the cover off and it just snaps back on is unbelievable compared to the other tower speakers I've had in the past. Great job Klipsch... I can't wait to purchase some more of your products!
