It's Okay
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm fully not satisfied with this laptop. For one thing, the battery life is very short, 2 hours max!. But most irritating for me this the position of the mouse pad. It is not centered like every other mouse pad on my previous laptops - but is more to the left of the keyboard. Because of this position, the bottom portion of my hand can and does easily move the pointer to different positions on my document - which I dont notice immediately because I am reading and typing from my notes. Annoying and frustrating!. Typing this review, I've had to rearrange the pointer five times. Enough already!!! This slows me down considerable - especially when on a deadline. The microphone and speaker quality are also lacking. You will definitely have to add external speakers, with volume at 100%, it is still low. I've had this laptop for months and I still can't get use to it. The keyboard is the best of the laptop, especially if you have big hands as I do, the position of the mouse pad the worst part!! Overalll, I would not buy this particular unit again.

Posted .The Lenovo IdeaPad 330-17 ships with a 2CELL 30WH, Lithium Polymer battery, with a battery life of up to 5 hours depending on the work that the device is performing. Be sure there are no unwanted programs running in the background, draining the battery. Here is a link to some tips for finding out what is draining your battery:
https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/battery-saver-windows-10. Additionally, to maximize battery life, try changing your power management setting to a more conservative one. You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life. Concerning the position of the touchpad, this model has a 10-kry numeric pad. The touchpad is centered under the QWERTY keyboard. The 10-key numeric pad shifts the touchpad to the left, under the typing keys. You can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad. Concerning the audio system on this computer. There are stereo 1.5W speakers on this device. Additionally, there is Dolby Audio sound enhancement software. Be sure Dolby Audio is turned on and adjusted to your preferences for the best audio experience.

Great Computer for all your needs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned two other Lenovo computers and I wouldn't use any other brand. This model has great screen clarity, lots of storage and memory and best of all it is fast. I haven't found anything I cannot do on with this computer. The sales guy didn't feel like it would be a good fit for graphic programs but I run all of mine just fine.

Big screen and smart laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The screen is bigger than other laptops. The setup process leads you well and give choices. Very comfortable to use the keyboard mostly for my right hand, additional space to set my hand when typing.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is actually my second Lenovo 17.3 330. I needed a computer for my kids to do school work on and this one was the first one I looked for. One of the best every day computers you can buy for the price point.

SWOLLON BATTERY LENOVO 330-17IKB
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm very annoyed and dissapointed. I purchased my laptop LENOVO 330-17IKB in FEB 2019. Really expensive but I thought it was worth it. It started having problems with a swollen battery (inflated) and damaging the right side, raising up and breaking the upper part of the laptop. I've try contacting LENOVO without any luck. VERY DISSAPOINTED, will never get another LENOVO ever!! Don't waste you money !!

Poorly made, 2-year old laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked this up yesterday and I am returning it today. The bezel around the screen appears to be uneven (indicating very poor quality control by Lenovo) and coming off at some places - please see picture. Also, the manufacturing date for this is August 2016, which is more than 2 years ago - please see picture. This is my first review of a purchase I made at BestBuy even though I have bought a lot of stuff from BestBuy over the years.

VERY dissatisfied with Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased the laptop in June 2018 and within a month, the hinge cover snapped off. BestBuy can only send it in for repair and not provide a replacement. The laptop is very poor quality.

Great specs for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start off by saying that this laptop has some great feature I5 8th gen 8gb ram, hd screen, and 1TB hard drive. However this laptop well it isnt really portable the battery life isn't great and well its huge, you might even struggle to find a case for it at best buy. This laptop is best suited as a home PC, a PC that stays mostly in your house. I would recommend this to people that are looking for a new home PC, and they don't plan to use it much on the go, but they want the option if the need was to arise

Good Except For The Battery
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While I love this laptop, the battery is a huge issue for me. I bought this to do my online school work on and the battery doesn't even last a full two hours. I love the size of this because I needed a larger screen to complete assignments, and the computer is super fast, but I can't get past the battery life on this thing. Not to mention, when your battery reaches 20% your screen dims so much it's barely usable, so you have no choice but to plug it in unless you can stand to have a barely usable screen. Overall, it's a great laptop, but not if you want to take it somewhere to work on it.

Best Price Value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a 17' laptop and there were several options ranging from 500 to 1k, after 3 weeks of having this computer I can say that it worth the value, I paid 430, the lowest price for I5 8th generation 4 cores. Pros: it is fast, reliable, light and cheap. Cons: First, windows up dates are going to be around for a week or so, so be patient, once all updates are done you will be able to see the value. Yes it can lags during this period, but is not the laptop fault it is microsoft. Yes it can be faster and better with SSD and more RAM, but I will wait until the warranty expire to do so, I can live for now with the mechanical HD. The cost for 240GB SSD and additional 8GB RAM can be less than $120. But the performance adding these two items will be for a laptop that worth at least 800 dlls. Yes it seems that it is going to last several years. Charger looks cheap and fragile but mostly of the time I use the laptop with my TV. So I can live also with that, also the cost to replace the charger is less than 40 dlls. There are comments that the computer can not handle 1080p resolution tv, that is not true, I have the laptop connected with my 65 Vizio TV and the resolution is FHD or 1080p. Can be used as TV or simple browsing and office work without a problem. I have the opportunity to return the product, but it worth the value and it is reliable. My best advice, yes buy the product and be patient the first 2 weeks to let the windows do the full upgrade. Battery can last 3 hours full brightness. I dont use the computer for gaming, so I can not comment about it.

Great Laptop for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this as an upgrade for my Dad. He was using an old beaten up one that was slow and had issues. The Lenovo 330-17IKB works great. It came with 8GB memory which is good enough to get you started and with 1TB HD, you have plenty of room to store files, pictures, movies, etc. It's an i5 and works wonders for every day use. You can use it for just about anything except hard core gaming. It has a nice size screen coming in at 17.3 inches, yet it's not overly heavy.

Less expensive for what seems like the same.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been looking at laptops for weeks before finally settling on this one. I wish it had was a backlit keyboard, but that wasn't a deal breaker. I love the big screen, and to my eyes, doesn't look any worse than screens with more resolution. I wish the battery life was a little better, but you can make it last 7-ish hours on a lower brightness and power saving mode. I also bought this for the cheaper option but eventually I will make the move to a more expensive option that has all of the features I'd like. Having said this, I expect it to last 8 years or so if I need it to. It was also nice to finally find a computer that was black and not silver.

Great laptop!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop for my new job - the screen size is perfect because I don't have an extra monitor, the speed is very quick, I love it! It's a little large/heavy for traveling, so I just bought a Lenovo IdeaPad 11.6" for a great price at Best Buy, and that's perfect too!

Great laptop for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a 6 year old 17 inch HP pavilion i7 8 GB memory 500 GB HD and my Lenovo outperforms it by leaps and bounds. Only reason it gets 4 instead of 5 stars is I expected the battery to last a bit longer. Overall if you don't need a ton of bells and whistles this is an excellent choose.

I love it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a smart buy if you are looking for a mid-range, large screen laptop. Plus, it's a Lenovo. They are well-built and trustworthy. I wouldn't describe this as a "cute/trendy" laptop. The build is solid and smooth. I am satisfied with the speed that supports multiple applications, browsers, and streaming media simultaneously. The screen is big enough to snap 2 windows and still work comfortably. The sound is loud enough but is not rich, like most laptops. I like the 9-digit keypad for working in Excel and Freshbooks. It's main keyboard was intuitive, but the 'home' and 'end' keys are located as a function of the keypad. I want sure if I would like the touchpad so far to the left. Fortunately, it's centered under the keyboard so it's not awkward. I am happy with this laptop. It was a great price.

A Fine Computer for the Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't think you can buy a better computer for the price point. The computer is light weight for a screen this big, the 1 Terabyte drive is bigger than others for the price and the processor is fast enough for just about any task you want to throw at it. The only thing I miss with this computer is it has no touch screen. If this is not important to you, I believe you'd be very happy with your purchase.

Decent but could be better.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is not too bad. It’s reliable, especially for the affordable price. The main gripe that my wife and I have with it is there is no noticeable way to turn off the trackpad. We use a wireless mouse and end up running into competing issues when the trackpad accidentally comes into play. Other than that, it runs great and the large screen size makes up for the small issues we run into.
