Got this one for work tasks as I was in urgent need for a windows machine. It’s my first time getting Lenovo, and I was quite surprised looking at the specs for this price. If you need it as a compact work laptop and you prioritize swift performance over the premium feel - just buy it, I guess that’s the best value you can get for its value.
Pros:
1. Powerful CPU, 16gb of RAM sometimes may be insufficient during heavy tasks (thank you Windows), but no performance critique whatsoever. Gets the job done.
2. Lightweight & compact, the build quality is solid: no flimsy/loose/squeaky parts.
3. The screen opens 180 degrees which makes it a dealbreaker to work in bed.
4. Might be an upside for someone - it has physical switch for the webcam.
Cons:
1. Well, it’s not a con for me, but you can feel that the body and keyboard are cheap. They are not disturbingly cheap, but still. Considering the price tag and what it has under the hood - it’s a fair trade-off.
2. Really weird spot for a changing port (left side at the middle of the body), sometimes I have to be extra cautious not to damage it while plugged in if I move the laptop. If it would cost a penny more than it did I would deduct a star for it, but overall it is a trade-off for the performance.
Conclusion: if you’re looking for a compact but powerful laptop for work while traveling or just as a portable machine and you don’t care much about the premium feel - buy it, it’s worth it.
