Interior Light Fails, Repair Cost is Massive

After less than 18 months the interior light failed. This is a common problem. The replacement costs less than $20, but to replace it requires removing the unit from the wall and opening the entire box. A big-deal DIY project. For a pro to do it costs more than $300-400. For this reason can't recommend.

Mine went out about two and a half months in. It started dimming and then finally went out. My experience with LG support has been lacking. I have been waiting for three weeks to hear back on a "technician" to call me. I have contacted LG four times but still habven't heard back from the technician. If I could return it I would. This is our second LG and final microwave. We bought a second LG because all of the appliances in our home are LG.

Don't know of it's like a sensor thing (like a smoke detector) . Got to call manufacurer. If it's a normal noise, it really is lousy!!!
