An excellent & affordable 4k HDR monitor

When I am at home I usually game on my 55" LG OLED. Because prices were so high on 27" 4k HDR monitors I bought a 32" 1440P 4k HDR Samsung for use with my Xbox One X for game nights. While it is an ok monitor it was heavy, awkward to transport, and just didn't pop like a full 4k monitor. This new LG is awesome. It's responsive, the image is crisp and clear with HDR providing excellent visuals and FreeSync for responsiveness. The fact that it is also lightweight makes it a perfect monitor for transporting to game nights with my gaming buddies. Great purchase, highly recommended. Oh and it works great for business tasks in between gaming sessions.

This monitor looks good physically and the image is stunning. I am really glad I upgrade to a 4K monitor. The monitor is lit evenly and the colors look good. I am using this to edit photos and to play video games on. The IPS monitor specs are slower than a TN panel I had before, but I don't see any noticeable blurring in games. Note that you need a graphics card that supports this resolution so check that out before you buy a 4K monitor.

If you're looking for a good 4k monitor at 27", this is a great pick, though I would try to find it on sale. As far as HDR is concerned, this monitor does get bright, but the expanded color isn't there. Not to say that an HDR game would look bad, but it isn't as colorful as it should be, color accuracy however is very good across the board for SDR and HDR content. Response times are some of the best out there, even compared to a TN panel. I mainly returned this to go with a High refresh rate monitor, I think if the HDR implementation had been better (expanded color volume) I would have kept it.

I bought this with my Xbox One X in mind, and it continues to impress. The FreeSync and HDR features make this unit stand out. You cannot adjust the height of the screen, which is why this costs less than competitors, but I haven't had an issue with the height personally. Really easy to get setup and configured.

I bought this monitor after seeing the stellar reviews on Best Buy.com. This monitor does not disappoint. I'm using this with my Xbox One X and my games look crystal clear! It's not true HDR, but the colors pop. I can tell there is low lag on this monitor coming from my Sony 55" LCD. It says it is 5ms, but honestly it's hard to tell. Hard to play on the tv now that I have the 4K monitor.

Have this lined up with my ROG gaming monitor and it works great for general browsing. Colors are nice and there is no input lag. I plug my xbox in there to game occasionally and the 4k with HDR is nice, colors are vivid and graphics are crisp. Great value for the price. would recommend as secondary monitor.

I like playing games on a monitor because I play a lot of FPS games. I had an Asus with 1ms input lag and thought that was the way to go. I get the PS4 Pro and want to get more out of it so I get this monitor. Oh my...the difference is night and day. This monitor blows a 260 dollar Asus gaming monitor out of the water. The difference from how Battlefield V looked on the Asus to this LG is like having 20/40 vision and then getting glasses to correct it. You will not regret this monitor. Oh and lastly- it has 2 hdmi inputs. For those like me that uses a monitor for pc and gaming system that’s a huge plus.

    Excellent Monitor, Great Picture

The picture quality on this monitor is excellent. I have done a few tests for color, contrast and gamma and they are all spot on. Make sure to set the Display mode to 1:1 and DisplayPort 1.2 to enabled for 4k/60hz. I turned the brightness down on the panel, but no other changes were needed to get the panel looking great. I have it mounted on a monitor arm, so can't comment on the stand, but a VESA mount was easy to install. I'm using my own DisplayPort Cable, not the included one. I did have an issue with the DisplayPort not working correctly and seeming to be stuck at 1.1 speeds (not supporting 4k/60hz) even with the proper settings checked. I ended up exchanging the Monitor in store (no hassle) and the replacement works perfectly. One thing to note is that the power cord comes out at a right angle, not straight out of the outlet, so it may block other plugs on a power strip.

    Well-featured 4k IPS

Excellent monitor for entering into the 4k! Pros: It's 4k! Good out-of-the-box color. Nice overall style. Great viewing angles with IPS panel. Free-sync has so far been playing nicely with my Nvidia graphics cards when they couldn't keep up with 60fps. Navigating the OSD is fairly straightforward using the joystick button at the bottom. Oh, did I mention at this price it's an IPS panel with free-sync and 4k?! Cons: The included crescent stand takes up a good deal of desk real-estate if not using a mount. Some light-bleed is visible on very dark scenes in a dark room (hey, what were you expecting? This isn't OLED). But my biggest single complaint is that the monitor does not auto switch video sources. If I have my work laptop and home desktop hooked into it, it will not switch over to the desktop when the laptop is shut-down (or vice-versa). I need to instead go through the OSD to manually change the input. Every. Single. Time. If it would do that, I'd be able to rate 5 star instead of 4. Final thoughts: Overall, this is an excellent mixed-use monitor. You get the wide viewing angles of an IPS panel with excellent colors (after some calibration), the tear/flicker-free gaming of a 60hz Free-sync monitor, all at 4k resolutions and a reasonable price!

I bought this monitor to enlarge my Microsoft Surface laptop's (which I also bought from Best Buy in the Fall of 2016) display while using it at home & still provide a detailed image. I believe it has 4x the resolution capability compared to the less expensive models available. The picture is clear & sharp, and there's minimal glare from any light sources from behind, thanks to the mostly non-glare screen. The monitor height is not adjustable but there's another model that costs about $100 more, I didn't get that one because I bought this one on a good sale and I'm ok with the non-adjustable height. I bought an Insignia™ - 6' Mini DisplayPort To DisplayPort Cable to connect it to my Microsoft Surface laptop & the cable has been working fine too. The display is bright using the default settings, so I used the display settings to dim it some.

I saw a friend using this monitor with xbox one x, playing battlefront. I was like what set up is that. He told 4k resolution, 60hz, freesync, and 27in for 350 bucks. I had to go and cop one. I paired it to my pc with a gtx 1080ti and i get great performance. High to very high setting/ultra at 60fps. A very good monitor if you have an xbox one x or a PC to push the frames. Even if you want a monitor to play other console and watch 4k movies, this monitor can do it. It uses joystick to control the on screen dislpay. There a firmware up date you can do to be able to control osd with mouse but i didnt have any luck with the update. Speakers are there and they just like other speakers on monitors. I use headphones. If you can find this monitor for the price we paid for it, 350 bucks or less jump on it. If its more consider the newest version.

This is a great all around monitor for gaming on Xbox one X. I use it mainly for PUBG and the difference in picture quality is night and day compared to my Asus monitor. Also has HDR and freesync which can be taken advantage of on Xbox one X. Not to mention how nice Netflix in 4K looks, it warms my heart lol. Only negatives are that the stand doesn’t have pivot or height adjustment and it’s kinda flimsy and that it’s only 60hz refresh rate. I’d prefer 144hz and also 1ms response time but you can’t get anything lower than 4 ms on an ips monitor at this point. It still doesn’t merit me taking a star away from it. All in all I’m very pleased with my purchase and I’d recommend it to anyone on the Xbox one X.

I love this monitor so much that I bought a second one. I'm now running two of these 4k Monitors from my HP Spectre 360 with perfect results. Setup was truly plug and play with no issues. The picture quality is crisp, clear, and bright. Colors are brilliant. Honestly, I have a hard time looking at my old FHD monitor now that I have this. The improvement is monumental. All monitor settings are done by a tiny joystick hidden under the front center of the monitor. At first, this seemed like stupid idea to me... until I used it. I now think it's the greatest idea ever. It's perfectly intuitive and easy to navigate. Kudo to the person who designed this!

I wasn't even considering a 4K monitor, but the price was really good and I saw that it had great reviews. I'm so glad I decided on this instead of a standard HD monitor. The screen is the perfect size for me and the picture is crisp and vibrant. I love that it has various color/brightness settings. When I use it for typical Internet browsing, I turn the brightness way down. But when I use it for photo or video editing, graphic design, looking at photos, etc., I turn the brightness up and, wow! The colors are fantastic. My old monitor looks so dingy and pathetic compared to this beauty. I also like that it has a headphone jack.

Bought this monitor a few months ago, I use it for gaming and I have to say the response time is amazing! The 4k and HDR makes it 1000x better! My rating would be 5 star but unfortunately it won't be, since you can't adjust the height on it, other than that is perfect

I like the display, very nice picture, but to use the highest output color depth (PC) you must use the display port connection, HDMI won't allow it, with display port, turning off the monitor causes the PC to think there's no monitor and all windows shrink to smallest size and migrate to the top left corner, and all desktop icons are shuffled at random and have to sorted or rearranged. Each time you turn on the PC it has to add the monitor back to your hardware as if it's never been seen before... very annoying. I can recommend this monitor if you don't mind the above annoyances, or you plan to use HDMI, AND... you don't need sound from the monitor (no speakers)

I'm using this monitor with another 4k LG (previous generation) for a dual setup running off a macbook pro (2015) via mini displayport to displayport on each of the monitors, and put the macbook pro into clamshell mode. Most of the time, this monitor is the second desktop for music production/video/photo. But sometimes, I use one of the two HDMI ports with a Roku streaming stick+ to watch 4k movies in HDR and use the 1/8" stereo out via patch cable to plug the audio into my powered Yamaha HS8s while still working on the other monitor. It's a killer setup.

LG knows how to do displays as this 27 inch monitor is amazingly bright with great color thanks to it's IPS display, the sharpness is definitely there but what I love about the monitor is how in-depth the settings are, you can mess with numerous picture settings to get the picture you want , my only gripe is that I wish this was a glossy display so that the colors can pop out even more, but really that's just nit picking at this point as the monitor is superb even in the brightest environments, awesome size for multitasking as well.

First off, I hate that I love this screen. It’s amazing. My tv upgrade from 1080 to 4K looked a little better... but 4K on a monitor is breathtaking. I do hate that I love this monitor because it has forced me to spend thousands on upgrading my pc... just so I can play games with the jaw dropping display. I can no longer use 1080P or 1440P displays... they depress me. They look like trash compared to this 4K. The ONLY thing that would make this monitor better would be a faster refresh rate (120hrz please) and G-Sync (it does have freesync)... however, now in 2020 i believe they sell one of those too (just a lot more $$$). You will need a beefy computer to really take advantage of the screen if you are gaming... but I can honestly say I enjoy my pc better because of this monitor. The other down side to 4K is that you need an extremely beefy computer to power two of these displays while gaming or really doing basic stuff also. You may find yourself googling how to sell body parts you don’t need, in order to raise enough money to buy a beefy computer to support what you want - multiple 4K screens. Once you have it, it will make you cry tears of joy and bliss. Or at least, that’s what happened to me. Computers are catching up to a 4K standard at 60FPS... but you really need a Beefy graphics card like a RTX 3080/3090 or better to fully compete with legacy 1080P or 1440P technology at a higher frame rate. Once you get this screen... you may not want to ever go back to anything lesser. I had a 1440p G-Sync (120 or 144 hrz) monitor also... I sold it because I didn’t like how undefined the screen resolution was. On my then dual screen set up, I found myself playing games only on the 4K screen since it looks so much better.
