Nothing like the store display! Not Worth it!

I bought this sound bar to go with the new TV. It had good specs and the display in the store actually worked. When my daughter hit the button on the display it made her jump. The sound was crystal clear and the bass was deep and heavy. It was just what we wanted. I saw an open box for sale so I bought that. When I got it home it hooked up easily. Again the sound was crystal clear. But the bass fell flat. I turned up every setting I could and nadda! No earth moving bass. It was disappointing. I took it back to Best Buy and bought another hoping it was the open box that had an issue. Get home again and same result. No bass. This is not the product to use for action movies, music, or any other "fun" sounds. At the price, it was a huge waste of money!

Horrible Soundbar System and LG Customer Service

My fault for trusting the Best Buy “Expert” that this soundbar system is the best out there in the $500+ price range for LG OLED TVs. The sound was inconsistent (e.g. treble, bass, volume) despite me watching the same show without changing the setting. The subwoofer gave out in 8 months. LG customer service was horrible in trying to help me resolve the issue. Ended up purchasing Bose Soundbar system to replace this junk. It’s unfortunately that I received subpar experience with the LG soundbar system and only only for 8 months for over $540.

Terrible quality, worst customer support

LG service is terrible, it's essentially a call center looking at the same manual you have, they will only "repair" it if you mail it in, or graciously offer for you to take it to a service center and pay for parts/labor. The subwoofer has stopped connecting, then progressed to no longer turning on, and only one speaker is now working on the soundbar. The sound I'm currently getting from it is worse than the builtin speakers on my TV. I would recommend looking at Sonos Arc instead, honestly anything other than LG.

Dont waste your money.....Too much hassle

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.it constantly turns its self on and off and reminds me to use the google home app and there's no way to turn it off. even after I try to use the google home app.... the App doesnt work properly when i tried to call tech service .. i got someone in the the Filipines trying to talk me thru it and it still didn't work and all he could say was "Sorry sir" all i wanted was a simple soundbar...

Expensive piece of junk

I have had major issues with LG products, specifically my $5K door in door refrigerator I’ve had to have repaired three times in the first four years I owned it, and now the subwoofer on the $500 soundbar system. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG PRODUCT AFAIN!!!

GET THE WARRANTY!!!

Said I was past the 30 day manufacturers warranty! NOT 90 day! 30 day manufacturers warranty! LG said they couldn't help me and told me to go back to BB. Thank God I purchased the 3 yr warranty! The BB agent told me IF I did not purchased the warranty. I would have been out of $600+, 34 days after purchase. SAD! When it worked. Sound is great! Make sure you get a warranty when you make purchases from BB!

Subwoofer no longer works

Of course I didn’t purchase an extended warranty trusting an LG would be a good product. Never had an issue before. Calling customer support only referred me to call a local repair shop. Based on other reviews on the LG website, it seems there is a growing trend of issues with the wireless subwoofer after about the 1 year mark.

Worst experience ever with LG

I’ve had mine for just at 16 months and barely used it due to travel for work and it just randomly died. LG have offered Nothing other than help finding a repair center. I can google that! Terrible customer service and obviously they realize it only last a year! If you buy make sure to buy all the extended warranty!!

Subwoofer died

I looked it up and apparently it's a common problem with this model. After the sub died, I have to listen to just the sound bar and it's not great by itself. And of course there's no warranty for it.

Not that satisfied with LG

For that 10 seconds there is no bass and you get distraction from your music indulgence.(and this glitch keep happening every half an hour). I expect that not to happen after paying 799 for this apparently high end sound bar. On positive side google chromecast works smoothly.

Do Not Buy

Within 5 months the subwoofer would intermittently not connect and would require being completely reset to work again. I called and was issued a reference number for this issue, but being that it worked after being reset LG was happy enough not to service it. Fast forward another 7 months and the wireless sub will no longer connect at all. Guess what? Conveniently its now no longer under warranty and they are unwilling to budge, i have to pay for any repairs out of pocket even though i have a reference number that is from well within warranty. Clearly LG does not care about faulty products and their customer base. I refuse to buy anything from LG in the future and I hope after reading this that you may think twice before spending your money on this inferior product and company. Put your money in JBL, owned for multiple years, better bass, and clearly more reliable.

Fun while it lasted.

I enjoyed the unit up until that point but I have no idea how to contact anyone for a replacement. Best Buy sends me to LG. LG doesn't respond. Go with a Samsung or Sonos instead.

Rampant Subwoofer Disconnection Problems

I have even gone as far as disabling my wifi to see if that would do the job but since I have neighbors, it’s likely that their wireless signals are interfering with the sound bar’s connection. It is beyond unacceptable that in this day and age where literally every home has multiple wireless devices a company would manufacture something so prone to malfunction in such an environment. It’s just as bad that nowhere is there an advisory detailing any of this.

Problems with Main Circuit Board

It is paired with my 65" Sony TV. I got it because I wanted a fairly priced ATMOS and LG is usually a good name. Not in this case. I have had to return TWICE now fir same warranty issue... sound starts going in and out. They replaced same Main Circut Board in both cases, but couldn't tell me why this happened twice. But in both cases, I had the hassle of dismounting from TV mount, taking it into Best Buy, and then waiting three weeks with NO sound bar while it is repaired. If you but an LG Soundbar be sure to purchase the Best But Warranty Coverage.... otherwise, you will have to mail this unit back to LG yourself!!!!

Dead after 1 year and light use.

I have put this volume on max twice when watching stranger things. First time with the fourth season part 1 and again with part 2. Maybe lower your max settings volume if the system can't handle it. Crapped out at the beginning of season 4 part 2. Wasted money and low quality, I am in a very small room and can only get movie theater sound at max volume. Well, you get what you pay for, gotta go for a better product next time.
