I had done a ton a research as I wanted to have a relatively "future proof" TV as possible. I landed on this oled65e6p! The visuals are fantastic. 3D is tremendous on this screen. Avatar/ minions 3D looked awesome. For the 4k HDR blurays, absolutely stunning. I had a little trouble at first playing with the De-Blur and De-Judder settings but after turning everything 'off'' it seemed to correct my issues. I highly recommend this TV is you have a budget for it. You wont be disappointed.

These tvs are godly, organic light emitting diode. OLED is by far one of the best tvs out. With prices becoming more reasonable this tv is great. Has great colors and very fast and efficient web browser. The built in VP9 chip allows streaming of 4K content. So when you get home with this beast, download YouTube and look up 4K vids. It will blow your mind. Very happy with this tv.

Image burn in destroyed the screen

I bought the LG OLED65E6P-U in March 2017 and put it in service around the end of March 2017. By December 2017 the screen was showing substantial image burn in. Right after the year end holidays I contacted LG Support and received instructions for procedures I could perform to reduce or eliminate the burn in images. And, if that did not work I was instructed to send a picture to LG so that they could escalate my case to their product specialist. Not only did that not fix the problem but it had gotten worse. In April I sent a second note with the attached picture and never heard back from them. So, again today I sent another message. Today I was advised that the TV was out of warranty. This is a multi thousand dollar TV that developed a problem quickly and I am now told by LG that I am stuck with it. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE should ANYONE buy the OLED technology from LG. Garbage without support from the OEM

This is without a doubt the best picture quality I've ever seen. The blacks are inky and there is no black light bleed due to OLED. You can't go wrong with this purchase. The 3D is awesome and having HDR 10 and HDR Dolby vision is a plus. It's awesome for video games as wel. Barley any noticeable lag when playing! Beautiful in a bright or dark room. There's no deminishin picture quality when viewing at an angle either. No need to purchase any new OLEDS coming out. They all have similar picture quality.

I've had my OLED65E6P about a week now and I'm more amazed every day by the picture quality, features, and connectivity of this product. Not only does 4K content look amazingly realistic, but the TV's ability to upconvert full high def (1080) material to near 4K quality is first rate. The Dolby Vision capability of the TV was also an important consideration for me since UHD displays are so new and industry standards are still in flux. Dolby Vision on Netflix looks absolutely amazing! I could barely believe my eyes. In spite of what many UHD LED proponents say, this display is amazingly bright. Just an amazing dynamic range. Coming from a high-end plasma display, it was important to me to have a display that could reproduce black levels on a par with plasma TVs, and this display easily exceeds the excellent black levels on my plasma. Set up of the E6P was a breeze. This really is a smart TV! It discovered the equipment, including my cable box, that I had connected to the display and set them up to use without any hassle at all. Selecting the components I want to use is a snap. The magic remote is outstanding! It, too, is incredibly easy to use and anything you might want to do can easily be chosen with a click of a button using the screen cursor, rather than the up, down, right, left arrow keys (although you can use these if you prefer!). The magic remote is a real step up from the other remotes I've used. There are as many adjustments and controls as you'd ever need! If you're familiar with calibrating TVs, the Expert modes allow 2 or 20 point white balance adjustments and the CMS allows adjustment of saturation, tint, and luminance for RGBCMY. The adjustment menus for picture, sound, network, general, accessibility give you complete control to customize the display just the way you want it. Display uniformity is terrific compared to OLED's of previous years. LG has done a great job with this. Colors, as you might guess, are vibrant and accurate and make watching this display a treat. And most people say the display gets better as it ages! Hard to believe it can get any better than it is now. The TV does need to be set up correctly for an optimum picture, but with the many HT enthusiast web sites, there are plenty of initial settings you can use to get a great picture. Ultimately, though, you may want to have this display professionally calibrated to squeeze every last drop of perfection out of the display. The soundbar that comes with the TV is really great! The sound system that comes with the TV is much more than I need in my family room (L:15, W: 13, H:9), which has an open architecture connecting it with the kitchen and living room. I haven't needed to have the volume above about 12-14/100 when I'm using the TV's soundbar instead of my HT speaker system. The improved Web OS 3 interface is incredibly easy to use and amazingly intuitive, with none of the lag I've read about online. It's very responsive and gets you where you want to go quickly. It's a phenomenal user interface. The upconversion of 1080 and lower res sources is fantastic! It really does upconvert to near-4K resolution. The only word I can use for UHD material on this TV is breathtaking! It's not like looking out a window - it's MUCH better!! Just an amazing picture quality with all different sources. And then there's the form factor of the TV. It's gorgeous and will complement anyone's decor. The thin screen is just mind-blowing and is absolutely beautiful. LG even put a gorgeously finished back on the TV! First class every way you look at it. One caution if you evaluate this display in the store using your own material. It will NOT do justice to the TV in any way, shape, or form. The less-than-4K material I demoed on the E6P in the store looked horrible. It was hard for me to believe all the rave reviews after seeing this TV with the material I brought to the store (which they were VERY gracious to allow me to use). But I put a couple of feelers out to people I considered 'in the know' and I called to purchase the TV that same day. Thanks goodness I did!! I would have kicked myself if I didn't make the investment in the fantastic TV. I can't say enough good things about the staff at Best Buy and the Geek Squad tech who unpacked and set up the TV. Just fantastic sales and service. And, there's not much of a reason to let the price of the display dissuade you with Best Buy's 2-year, no-interest financing. This is an incredible program that Best Buy has. Having been a professional video calibrator and having done extensive research before buying, I'm convinced this is THE top of the line right now. I don't think you'll find another TV that has better picture quality, features, connectivity, or as friendly a user interface in one beautifully designed package. It's simply an amazing product! This is one purchase you will not regret.

It boiled down to 3 tvs Lg oled Samsung 9800 Sony z series Samsung was the cheapest but it was curved . Viewing angle is limited you have to be in the middle to appreciate what this tv can do ( viewing it at an angle the colts fade ) and only supports hdr10 format Sony z series is the most expensive more than 5 grand only supports hdr10 format . But it gives oled a good competition when it comes to black level It's very bright for sure but the viewing angle ( colors fade when u watch it on the side ) and I don't like it's OS Lg oled in the other hand I've never seen a TV that just produces amazing black Colors just pops cause it can deliver amazing blacks! And it supports hdr10 And Dolby vision formats so whoever wins the next format Im comfortable I won't be left behind cause I have both 3D on this tv is amazing Plus the sound is good on this TV I'm a gamer ,this tv may not have the best input lag but it definitely worth every penny . I can play and watch at any agle without the colors not fading at all

What a difference this tv makes in picture quality. I went from a Sony full array local dimming (XBR-65X950-B) to the LG OLED-65E6 and could tell a difference, immediately. The FALD Sony was no joke, especially once calibrated, but this LG is as good as it gets. Maybe the G6 model is better, but I have read mixed reviews that there is any significant difference, at all. The black in this display is amazing! While this tv does not reach the same brightness capabilities of many LCD/LED displays, it produces a better overall picture due to the depth and contrast that the black abilities provide. And it's not like the brightness is a fail. It meets all requirements for an HDR tv, and shows to be plenty bright for my eyes. I hooked up the Samsung UHD blu ray player and it looks amazing. HDR is for real! That's why I upgraded from the 2014 flagship Sony. With the LG being both HDR-10 AND Dolby Vision capable, this unit is truly future proofed. While the attached (and not removable) speaker bar is noticible, it sits flush with the tv and doesn't waste space like certain "elephant-ear" models that other 4K tvs took a shot at. I can't speak to the audio performance because I have my LG OLED hooked up to a surround-sound system. Maybe someday it will become a secondary tv and I'll actually hear what it can do. Motion quality is great, as well. I tend to turn off the "TruMotion", since I typically don't like the "soap opera" effect. Turning it off has also shown to be the best for sports, for I see no judder or ghosting on quickly moving people or objects. As for ANY display, the picture quality will depend on the source. My Fios connection usually does an ok job, however from time to time the picture has some strange views. I hope that once professionally calibrated (currently using settings I found online), I will notice an even better picture. In conclusion; BEST IN CLASS! If the G6 were to go on sale before my exchange period runs out, I might make the move just to have the flagship or "Signature Series" of the LG OLED line. Otherwise, I've seen no proof of the need to pay the extra $2,000. This is the best quality-for-value available, today.

OLED is definitely the future of television. I have had Samsung's signature SUHD KS9000 quantum dot for around a year now and I have loved it. I didn't think that picture quality could get much better than it, but after I moved into a new house with a larger living room, I needed something larger than a 55 inch. I spent a few months checking out all of the different options that I had to choose from between Samsung, LG, and Sony. I always want to try to make sure when I am buying a new TV that it won't feel outdated after a year or two, especially when the prices are as high as they are. I finally bit the bullet and got the OLED65E6P and it's the real deal. The black levels are so dark that it makes the contrast and picture quality so realistic that my dogs often think whatever is on the screen is real, they never did that with the Samsung. They are both great TVs but if you want to make sure you're future proof OLED is the way to go!!

Been looking at buying an OLED TV for awhile now. High cost was holding me back. However, the 2016 LG OLED sets were going to be the last ones with 3D. Prices on the 2016s came down and I took the plunge. Really happy I did. It has an incredible picture. It has both HDR-10 and Dolby Vision HDR formats. I set it up with the AVS youTube video and it looks awesome. The 1080p passive 3D is uprezed (sp) to 4K by the TV. My old Panny plasma set with active shutter 3D (which I thought was good) does not hold a candle to the LG's 3D. Too bad 3D didn't start out this good. It would still be available on 2017 sets. If you can still find the 2016 LG OLED 65E6P, I highly recommend it.

This is the best of the best. Top in class. 4k OLED HDR Ultra Deep Black. I have mine connected to a Marantz SR7010 and the Samsung - UBD-K8500, which is the only 4k Ultra Blu-Ray Player to get. HDR when paired with the K8500 is amazing. DeadPool and the Revenant are must have 4k Ultra Blu- Ray Movies. Things to know - the sound bar does not come off. It is not huge but you cannot remove it. All four HDMI inputs have Ultra Deep Black. Absolutely no black clipping / pixelation distortion. Each individual pixel can be turned off to create true black where other tvs try to create the color black, this tv omits light to make black... Best tv on the market

Long story short before I get to why I bought the LG OLED 65 E series. In 2008 I purchased a Samsung HDTV (still have it in my bedroom) and in 2014 purchased another Samsung (65 curved HD 4K model) for my living room. I loved the Samsung curved 4K TV but it had too many issues with its One Connect Box and the Smart TV feature would no longer work. Thank God I purchased the Geek Squad protection plan as Geek Squad came to my home three times to fix the TV and were unable to. I was told I could return the TV and get a new one with full credit from my previous TV. I was advised by Best Buy to get the LG OLED 4K TV and I chatted with a CNET person who writes reviews on TVs who said the same as Best Buy so I went with the E series. I did a lot of research on which TV to buy next but the LG OLED E series really sold me. I thought my 2014 Samsung 4K TV was awesome but the LG OLED is so much better. The picture quality is unmatched. I have watched shows and movies (cinema mode), sports (cinema and sports mode), played video games (game mode), 3D and other shows and movies in 4K. To think I was going to give Samsung another chance with their 2017 QLED 4K models but instead I went with the 2016 LG OLED E series model. I am very happy with this TV and have no regrets on my purchase. There's really no need for calibration too. I highly and strongly suggest to anyone looking to buy a TV to get this one. Best Buy was awesome with their customer service in helping me trying to resolve the 2014 Samsung model to helping me select this LG OLED model. I plan on buying another LG OLED E series model for my bedroom and one for my parents. That's how much I love this TV.

I did alot of researching current tv's and I kept on coming back to this one. The LG OLED65E6P was on sale and I decided to purchase it. The picture is always great, even when not in 4k. 4k looks amazing. HDR gives it that WOW factor. 3D isn't just a gimmick, it really does work. 3D movies look alive. 1 HDMI port isn't just for 4k and HDR, like some tv's. All 4 HDMI ports are for 4k and HDR, That was important to me. We still have alot to explore but feel that we have seen enough to justify the purchase for today and future technology.

I bought my last big TV purchase in 2003. It was a pioneer elite. Its picture quality was amazing, and still is. This 65" LG oled is on another level!!! Its functions are easy to use. Steaming is easy. Picture quality is amazing. My kids love the 3d (tangled is their favorite movie to watch with it) I dont use the TVs speakers because of the surround sound I have already. So i cant comment on that. But i would say this is a must own if you can afford it. The HDR tech really puts this at the top of the charts when you talk about TVs. Everything you watch is better and all my guests cant believe the difference 4k makes. Amazing!!

My main tv was a 4k sony 65 with passive 3D. I wanted another 3D before the 2016 models disappeared. Passive is the only way to go so that meant a LG. Once I saw the OLED I knew it was the only way to go. Just a fantastic picture. I have seen some question about the brightness and I want to say that it is plenty bright. I bought a new Sony UBP 800 4k player and they play nice with each other. This is a fantastic tv.

This TV has the best picture of any set I've owned. The colors and then sharpness are incredible, and the blacks are... BLACK. Even my wife was impressed (which is a good thing considering the cost). Most people won't care about this, but the 3D images are also very good, and you can use the glasses borrowed from the local multiplex. I can't comment about the sound as I'm using an A/V receiver, but the picture is incredible.

After several months of research and viewing many TV's multiple times, I finally chose the LG E6 , 3D 4K TV, and I am ecstatic with the picture, the best I've ever seen. The colors and clarity are astonishing and the 3D is beyond belief. Having watched Avatar in 3D, the picture clarity and brightness was better on the LG than the 3d experience at the IMAX theater. That is no exaggeration. Very Very happy.
