EXCELLENT!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has given us a great sense of safety for my mother for many years. We also have fall detection which is a great feature. It also works away from the home. We were so grateful that Best Buy had this at such a good price because the battery on my mother's old one finally died and would have taken a couple weeks at least to deliver a new one from GreatCall. She had just had a stroke prior to this, and I did not want her to be without it that long. Thanks to Best Buy, we found this. None of the other drug stores which were supposed to have it did (were out of stock) and had it at twice the price as Best Buy. We highly recommend this, if for no other reason than to have a sense of security and safety for your loved one. It is also easy to use and hangs as a necklace so you do not have to worry about finding a pocket for a cell phone type device. It is great and at an affordable price each month and very much worth it for the added safety.

A PIECE OF MIND
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m really impressed with this device. It had a activation fee just like a cell phone which I expected, but I only paid $25 for the device. I would have paid a lot more for the device to give me a piece of mind when it comes to my grandmother. This device gives her some of her independence back and I can tell she feels safer having it on. The activation was simple, and they did a test call on the device to make sure everything was working properly. My grandmother is very hard hearing and this thing is loud. And it’s VERY simple for her to use. ONE BUTTON. that’s it. They offer 3 different plans $25, $35, $45/month. I went with the top tier plan which has 24hr access to a RN with a push of the button, but also auto fall alert. It works by knowing the users center of gravity, if they fall the device automatically contacts the company. The company then calls the device and if there is no response, they automatically send an ambulance to the address as well as contacts me. This could be a critical life-saving feature if the user was knocked unconscious, and/or bleeding from a severe head wound. It’s given me such a piece of mind, and you can’t put a price on that.

My new companion
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been putting off buying a medical alert device for 9 years, I recommend to all of my friends who live alone that they should buy one. I do not like to wear a cumbersome item around my neck and did not want a central box so this was perfect. I can clip it on my pants or bra, it has a built in GPS so it goes wherever I go and it is very light in weight. Bottom line is, this little device gives me so much confidence. Customer service has been wonderful . Should have bought it years ago.

Could be perfect except for one BIG problem
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It could be really excellent if not for the very loud, sporadic announcements stating that the device is now ready for use. It is annoying when the announcement sounds and wakes me in the middle of the night. It is quite embarrassing when my neighbor and I (both wearing our Lively mobile plus devices) are sitting in a community meeting when they BOTH loudly announce they are ready for use. As the wearer doesn't care whether they are ready for use or not. Please make a less obtrusive way (like having the display lights switch color or flash several times) to let wearer know that the device has been reset, or whatever.

Call for help
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my father in law. It was easy for him to use. I like that it has GPS and fall detection. I also like that you can call a call center by pushing the button quickly, or call 911 by holding the button longer.

Highly recommend
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second one I have gotten for my mother. She wears it around her neck so it is always with her. Customer service is great. If Mom falls, she presses the call button and a representative immediately answers her call through the device to determine what she needs. They can call fire or ems or just a friend or family member. You can give them emergency contact info in advance so they have it on file if the client is not able to speak when they activate the call button. Mom has had to use it several times, and the representative stays on the line with her until help arrives. Very simple and user friendly. It works anywhere there is cell service (like the grocery store parking lot) and she does not need to be within range of a desk unit like the first system we tried. It is lightweight and much easier for my Mom than having to use a cell phone to call for help. Comes with a belt clip and a lanyard for the neck. My only complaint is that the rechargeable battery is not replaceable, but the last device lasted several years. There is a reasonable monthly charge for the service but it is well worth it for the peace of mind it gives us that help is just a press of the button away.

Recommend Lively Mobile Plus
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lively™ - Lively Mobile Plus All-in-One Medical Alert - is our 2nd purchase of this product. We had the first one for about 3 years and it worked beautifully. My mother is almost 87 and has vascular dementia still in the mild stage. I work part-time and this product gives me peace of mind that she can easily call for help or be detected of a fall while I'm away. My mother accidentally got her Lively slightly wet, but she forgot to tell me. Apparently, it worked for awhile after that happened. Then the device stopped working. Mom suddenly remembered she had gotten it wet. We did not have insurance on it. I'm not sure that's even available to purchase. We loved the device so much we promptly got another one. We were not able to find one at a store close to us. We had to order it online. They were able to deliver it to the house in less than a week. We are very happy with this product and that's why we purchased it a 2nd time. We highly recommend the Lively™ - Lively Mobile Plus All-in-One Medical Alert device!

Review of Lively Mobile Plus
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Device works well and creates peace of mind. Also affordable. When the button is pushed a real person answers right away instead of automated responder. It also responds to other emergencies not just falls. Also, if it activates by mistake a person responds and you can cancel the call.

Lively Mobile Plus review
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the Lively Mobile Plus online through Best Buy. Activation and setup were easy on the website. The only issue was with account data that was not visible to the Urgent Response team after being setup online. Their customer service center was able to resolve this quickly. Several tests to Urgent Response were answered within 20 seconds. Each agent was friendly and able to communicate clearly. The unit itself is easy to use and maintains a good connection, even where I only get one or two bars on my Verizon cell phone. Audio quality is good. Recharging is easy: The unit is easy to drop into the charge cradle and comes out easy as well. All in all a good value.

Life saver!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device was just what i needed for my ailing aunt with dementia. She has had many falls and this device saved her when she got outside somehow and had fallen in the street! She pressed her button and had an ambulance there for her in no time! Simple set up too!

Saved my life twice!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Over the years, I've had all of the 5-Star GreatCall mobile devices. The previous model was good but developed several problems that the company warrants have been fixed with this newly released version, which has a much longer battery life and better volume output. But beware, you cannot revert to the older models, which are only useful for calling 911. I cannot say enough good things about the company and its agents, who have been hired with great care regarding their ability to speak fluent English. The new model unfortunately currently has no wrist strap and the connector to the magnetic cord they provide if you chose to wear it around your neck is now welded as part of the body of the unit so there's less chance of it breaking if you drop the device on hard floor or tile. So as long as you have it with you, you're protected and always have access to GreatCall's helpful agents. Once I had to use it to call for help (after having crawled all over the house to find it) and the paramedics were dispatched faster than calling 911. In short: great company, great device. I love it. The medical profile you can keep on file with the agents and their cell phone app is also very helpful. Just remember to keep it with you.

Throw away doubt! You won't be disappointed!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not usually a review a product person! But, this one deserves it. We are loving it. It was for my 82 year old aunt who fell in her driveway and wasn't found until the next morning. This little device has been amazing, exceeding all expectations I had in mind. No matter where she goes we can see her exact location, get instant update notifications from the app when she's on the move, leaves home and when she returns. She still has her freedom but we finally have a peace of mind. And between the device and one time activation it was about 65$, the first month was free and only 40$ a month after. We opted for the best total package Lively offered. A very small price for instant emergency alerts from the company, fall detect, push button 911 and trained staff to help with the smallest things like getting locked out of your home or vehicle. Activation was a breeze with creating and account, adding family to be notified and a practice call to the device to check activation. The audio is more than loud enough and very clear! It's has no issues getting wet in the shower or pouring rain. Very light weight but not flimsy. This device is also all in one, meaning it has no base, no parameters to stay within. It tracks her everywhere. She docks it on the charger at night within easy reach. I highly recommend this device!!

I think it will be great....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was dead in arrival but the customer service from great call was exceptional. They had me mail it to them and they mailed back a preactivated unit. These need to be plugged in to a wall outlet never a power strip. They need to be charged once a day. They say to leave in charging stand overnight but this is when my mom has fallen so that makes no sense. I love that it is has an app that can be assoçiated with it so I can see where mom is, if the unit is off, if she has used it to make in an emergency etc. The fall alert only works with the included lanyard not the belt clip so I didn't bother sending the belt clip. The included printed materials are easy to grasp and straightforward.

Great life saving device
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this because the old version gave up. It is truly a life saver. My only con on this is that when older versions are out dated the company, Great Call, should contact the current subscribers. My Mom wore this device for many, many months and finally realized on her own it was not working. That is so disappointing. I also do not like that the cord is much shorter on on the new one. The connection on the cord is now magnetic and easier to lose. Easy to pull apart or fall off the next.

Good for what it is
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The purchase process was easy. Curbside pickup in and out in less than 5 minutes. The product is for a relative dealing with multiple health issues who prefers to stay in her place. Because we used an AARP discount we were unable to do the setup through the website. Signing up by phone took a lot longer than I expected. 20-30 minutes. The product is larger and heavier than I think it should be, and does not seem very rugged. So far no problem. For usage I think the wrist band version might be better for some people because of the size/weight may hinder sleep and make it uncomfortable during the day

Easy, Portable, & Affordable
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My step-dad bought an expensive in-home unit that did nothing for him if he was outside. This works anywhere there is a cell signal and much cheaper. It was also very easy to set up and activate.

Med Alert necklace
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.*expedient delivery *user friendly *immediate response when button is pushed *on the Lively app, the GPS is updated about every 5 minutes, so there isn't a "real time" report on the individual wearing the necklace. However it is very reassuring to know when they leave the house, and when they return.

Good Device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has worked well so far. Convenient for anyone that may need quick and easy access to monitoring center that can connect them with emergency services. Nice to know that service works everywhere the device has cell reception and includes fall detection if that option is selected when choosing the monthly fee level.
