What the A50s Get Really Right 1. Sound Quality & Spatial Audio These deliver excellent audio fidelity—crisp highs, clean mids, and bass that’s satisfying without muddying everything. The built-in Dolby Atmos support is a major plus: it gives immersive spatial directionality that’s hard to match in many gaming headsets. If set up right, Atmos adds a lot of depth. 2. Hardware Build & Comfort The materials, finish, ear-cups, etc., are solid. They feel premium. The wireless base station and built-in charging are nice touches. For many, the comfort is good for long sessions (though this can vary depending on head size/shape). 3. Versatility The A50s pair with a lot of platforms (PC, consoles, etc.), support game/chat balance, have optical input, etc. So they’re not just “console headsets” but more general-purpose. 4. Battery & Connectivity The wireless link + base station works well; range is good. Battery life is decent for typical gaming usage. --- Where Things Fall Short (Software & Other Issues) Since you already mentioned the command center being “dog water,” here are the commonly reported pitfalls and how big a deal I think they are. Issue What People are Saying / Experiencing Severity / How It Affects Use Astro Command Center Bugs / Stability Folks report frequent glitches: failure to recognize the headset/base station properly, firmware updates getting stuck or failing, mismatched synchronization between headset & base station, etc. High. These issues hurt almost everything the “software side” of the headset is supposed to provide (EQ, updates, modes). Makes the headset feel under-cooked. Firmware / Update Clunkiness Hard resets are needed somewhat often. Sometimes the update process fails, or the device gets into a “flaky” state (e.g. LEDs pulsing, headset not recognized) which requires digging to fix. Medium to high, depending on tolerance. If you're okay with tinkering, it's manageable; for plug-and-play people, annoying. Software UI / Usability The UI for Astro Command Center is reported to be “barely serviceable,” with unintuitive controls, slow response, sometimes lackluster effect from EQs or from toggling features. Many people prefer external tools or using Dolby Atoms / other software instead. Moderate. Once you settle on an EQ or configuration you like, maybe it’s “set and forget,” but tweaking is unpleasant. Comfort / Ergonomics in Some Cases Some users complain about clamp force, weight, especially during longer sessions; also that breaking in the headset (mechanically) is hard since it's charged on the base which presses the cups together. Varies widely depending on your head. Could be minor, but for long hours it matters.

Cons: Build materials do feel a little flimsy and I worry about how they would hold up should I accidentally drop them... No other cons I can think of though. I bought this to replace a failing/old Corsair HS80 that was causing me grief with DaVinci Resolve and creating 8 mic inputs for voice recording and none of them worked at all... go figure. Anyway, the A50's are lighter weight, don't move around on your head at all and don't clamp either. I also have all Logitech peripherals, Keyboard, Mouse, and now Headset so I only need to run the Logitech G Hub to control everything now which is more ideal. The A50's have specific controls for mic input presets, I would recommend using the "Broadcast" curated preset as it, at least for me, provided the clearest voice output I could find. They also have within the G Hub the ability to alter on the fly streaming volume controls similar to a sound board/stand alone audio mixer board which is fantastic and easy to use, works well with StreamLabs OBS and DaVinci Resolve for quick on the fly adjustments. The community created audio EQ presets for the headphones are great so far the best preset I have found is labeled "GOATED MUSIC PRESET" created by Seiway (not me btw, though I did adjust the 500 and 1k hz sliders to be positive .5dB) and weirdly enough works amazing for gaming especially Escape From Tarkov and Warzone, making footsteps and other necessary to hear noises easy to pick out quickly.

Got these to replace my Xbox official headset that have gone down in quality. Im a disabled veteran so gaming helps me deal and a good headset let's me go into my happy place. So im very picky about quality. The ease of setting these up was amazing and stress free. Follow directions and seconds later connected, these also connect to ps5, computer, and my Samsung galaxy phone just as easily. The sound quality was amazing on xbox series x. I have the xbox Dolby atmos app so it automatically set up for dolby atmos and sounded better than the official xbox headset that is dolby atmos. They also sounded great on ps5, pc, and phone as well. I have a larger head which made the official xbox headset uncomfortable as well as even break over time since they didn't adjust far enough. These adjust great as well as far superior quality. Plenty of room and the foam on headband, as well as ear cups are soft and beyond comfortable with no heavy use fatigue. I played for hours with no issue. The microphone worked fine and nobody said they have issues so not much to say there. They slide up out of the way, and down for use with ease. There's buttons on side of right ear that allow you adjust sound for more accurate directional sound for shooters, and if you want to watch a movie they sound fantastic. Only downside is if you rest your head to the right side in recliner I did hit the buttons. But thats nit picking. The charger stand plugs into your xbox, and ps5 with provided cable. Connects to pc via cable or Bluetooth and Bluetooth on phone. The stand says xbox, ps5, pc, and Bluetooth so you can easily switch and see since it is lit up. There's a easy to use pc program to setup sound more as well as app. Only difference between the most expensive and this is the charging stand which has more ports. The headsets are the same so save a bit if you dont need the extra usb ports. There charge lasts a long time, and after about 6hrs of gaming it still had two bars of charge. They fit in stand snuggly and light up to show their charging. While a bigger price tag, and yes bestbuys protection plan costs a bit it covers everything for 2 years. So if they do die or something happens just replace with piece of mind. If you can fit them in your budget you wont be disappointed in my opinion, and with bestbuys no question replacement warranty you know if there's a issue they will be replaced. If you have the money you should not be disappointed. Side note I bought white ones since the black ones were not in stock. Im impatient and didn't want to wait the few days for restock, but actually dig the white with silver bars they adjust on.

So far these have been a great investment on improving my quality of gaming. I bought these to replace my Turtle Beaches which I already liked due to the ability to balance out my sound output. I was a little wary at first because I was familiar with the brand but not the product and there’s always caution when trying something new. Come to find out; I am really enjoying these headphones for multiple reasons including they’re super comfortable, I can still balance the sound output, the sound is amazing, and the functionality/accessibility is outstanding. I’m only using this for my Xbox but switching to a PS5/Switch/PC is as easy as clicking a button, literally. Not to mention it has Dolby Atmos capabilities and I can Bluetooth my phone so I can play games/talk to friends and still use my phone is such a bonus. I usually keep them on the charging dock when not in use so I really don’t have to worry about battery life even with long gaming sessions. Take it from a true satisfied customer I’m glad I made the switch to these headphones.

I have owned many gaming headsets over the years. Some cheap but mostly high end (price wise) All had their faults, cheaply made, connection issues or uncomfortable. Headsets are one of the few things that I always get the extended warranties on. They always pay for themselves. My last headset was the Steel Series Arctic’s Pros. Even with aftermarket ear cups, they were very tight fitting and hurt my ears. My ears would be pressing against the driver. Not fun. Luckily the poorly designed retractable mic allowed me to swap them out. I had the older A50’s and returned them a while back for connection issues. These A50X have seemed to have fixed all issues of the older A50 for me. They have always been the most comfortable headsets for me. These haven’t changed. They fit my big noggin well. No pressure points. Connection is rock solid. Incredible Mic. Plenty of volume. I feel like the base is low and not sure if there is a setting where I can adjust that. I can easily hear what direction sounds are coming from. Audio is top notch and gets louder than I care to put it. Battery life is INSANE. I play for long periods and I don’t think I’ve ever reached 50% battery life or even close. Usually still over 70% when I’m done and I always have it connected via bluetooth streaming YT videos. Bluetooth is rock solid however if you go to far from the base station the audio will get choppy. Not a deal breaker. Switching to other sources is quick and easy although I only have it for my Xbox. I got these when they were $300. Cheaper than the Arctis I returned. The swappable batteries for the Arctis was nice but I was always swapping them. They never lasted a session. Also to swap the Arctis ear pads were a major pain. The A50X being magnetic would take a couple seconds. Honestly it’s hard to find any faults for the A50X’s in the months I’ve owned them. I don’t need to order new aftermarket ear pads because they are simply comfortable from the get go. With the old A50’s I had to update through a laptop and adjust settings there. All a big pain seeing as my laptop is over a decade old. Now everything including updates is done through an app that is easy to use to adjust and update. Big win there for me. If you’re on the fence on looking for a new headset that does it all and does it all competently, these are the ones. Sorry for the rambling and hope this helps.

I wanted to buy a headset that I could use both for gaming and work. Due to the dock I can easily switch between systems. I use this headset for my office job when I work from home and I have not had any complaints about not being able to hear me or low volume. Of course, I also use this for gaming and it is excellent. Although the headset may look big and heavy it does NOT feel like that at all. I can very easily wear this headset for an extended period of time. However, I will note I wear glasses and one of pair of glasses does tend to press down on the side of the head after a while, but that is case by case issue. I use this headset across all platforms; my PC, Xbox, and another my work computer and I have no issues between switching between platforms. The only con I have is sometimes the padding of the headset can get a bit warm during the summer and on hot humid days. But that is also a case by case problem. Another issue is the price, of course I wish this was a bit cheaper, but you are definitely paying for what you get which is a big package and in my opinion its worth it. So if anyone is looking for a reliable and good performing headset, I would recommend this headset.

The Logitech A50 Lightspeed is easily the best gaming headset I’ve owned. I use both a PC and a PlayStation, and switching between them is absolutely seamless—no need to mess with cords or settings, it just works. The wireless performance is flawless, with zero lag or dropouts, and the sound quality is crystal clear with strong bass and detail. One of my favorite features is being able to connect my phone via Bluetooth at the same time. I can play and still listen to music or take a call without interrupting the game—it’s a total game-changer. Comfort is also top-tier; I can wear these for hours without any fatigue. If you want premium sound, effortless device switching, and the convenience of dual connectivity, the A50 Lightspeed is worth every cent.

Great set, connects way better than the older ones. No connection issues so far. Bluetooth connects easily and automatic to secondary devices like phones for texts and media audio. Drivers are comparable to previous generation (dont seem to be missing out by upgrading) battery lasts longer than 12 hours at max volume. Range is comparable to previous owned version. Sits on dock much easier than previous versions. Mic quality upgraded to being comparable to blue yeti stand alone mic. Much better. Works great with Logitech Ghub. Astro software has not been needed once. All cables needed for pc gaming were included and of high quality.

I’ve had it for about a month now and it’s been great. Mic sounds crisp and clean, ear muffs sit comfortably on my head, and overall it’s been great. At first I was wary about the charging station but it makes it easy to remember to charge them and the battery life on them is great to. I got this for my pc. if you’re on the fence about this one or the $400 dollar version it doesn’t make a difference on pc only consoles. I did some research on it and that is what I figured out. So pc players save yourself a $100 bucks and get this version. It syncs well to the Logitech app on pc too and there’s a bunch of presets others have made for music or specific games on audio and for mic. Overall love them and would recommend

I used the Astro A50 3rd generation headset for years and absolutely loved it—so I wasn’t sure how much better the 5th generation could really be. And I even explored many other headsets to see which would have the best audiophile (SoundCloud X, Berydynamics MMX330 pro openback, Astro A30, Astro A40). But man, Astro knocked it out of the park with this one. The sound quality, comfort, and overall performance are top-tier. It’s clear they refined everything that made the older version great and somehow made it even better. The wireless connection is seamless, the battery life is solid, and the updated base station is a nice touch. I’m not paid or sponsored to say this—I just rarely come across a product this dialed in. If you’re on the fence, take the leap. The 5th gen A50s are the real deal.

Very light weight and fits perfectly over the ears. Not too bulky or hard on the ears. Audio is very clear. Easy setup and quick charge rate. I originally had the Astro A40 but I really love the A50 wireless version even better.

These headset are hands down the best ones i bought so far! Their pricey but worth it if you have the funds their comfortable, loud, got good bass, the adjustment on them are nice and the mic is good my friends tell me i sound clear and loud. You can also connect your phone to the headset while gaming and listen to music. Battery life is also good on them. I have bought many different headset like turtle beach, steel series, and other brands and these astro 50 are first pair of the astro brand ive bought and are the best headset ive had! Happy i was able to finally buy this one!

I had the A50s and these are very similar to those. These are more comfortable, better sound quality, don't disconnect randomly like the other ones did, and are very flexible. I think for the price they are a great buy. There are times I have to take them off because the sound is so good I think something is going on in my house, but it's just sounds in the game you don't notice until you have these on. Highly recommend.

By far the best headset for gaming we’ve had, it’s easy to switch from pc and PlayStation. Sound quality is top notch and on point. Comfortable to wear hours at a time. Great battery life as well.

I recently got the A50 Gen 5, and overall I’m really impressed: the PLAYSYNC Audio is a game-changer — I can switch seamlessly between my Xbox, PC, and Switch with just one button, which is super convenient. The PRO-G Graphene drivers deliver crisp, detailed sound, and the 24-bit LIGHTSPEED wireless connection feels clean and lag-free. I also like the 24-hour battery life + the base station dock — it’s really practical to just drop it on the dock when I’m done. On the flip side, the comfort isn’t perfect: the clamp is a little tight and the headband pressed on my head more than I expected, which gave me a headache after long sessions. Some folks (including me) noticed the stock earpads leak sound and could have been better — I ended up wanting to upgrade them. Also, the Astro Command Center software isn’t super intuitive, and I ran into a couple of annoying firmware update issues where I had to reset the headset.

Amazing sound quality. Very immersive. Also works great with other media types like music and movies. The app you can download gives you endless options for EQs to really dial in those footsteps if you’re playing an FPS. Or tweak the EQ for music and really get the bass bumping and the treble just right. Also the battery life is really good I’ve worn them for 10+ hours at a time without needing a charge and still probably had another few hours before they would’ve needed a charge. Also the mic quality is great you can also set an EQ on that as well. It’s a very versatile headset with many things to tinker with if you’re someone who truly loves audio.

Lightweight, very comfortable, excellent audio quality. Battery life could be a little bit better but expected for a wireless system.

I've been gaming for as long as I can remember. I have probably been through 20 or more headsets. This is by far the most comfortable, best sounding, and best microphone, on a gaming headset. The battery life is great, the distance of Bluetooth is also a nice bonus. It is more on the expensive side, but they were so good I even bought my girlfriend a pair!

Lightweight, crisp sound, comfortable, and they look sharp. If you’re looking for a great headset these are them!!!!!
