SO FAR VERY NICE
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I could not resist this remote, Best Buy deal of the day for $80. I have other Logitech remotes, this one is so much nicer , it's smaller and I like that. The only problem I had was setting it up. I had to call Logitech Tech for help. Within 10 minutes my problem was resolved and everything so far is working great. Very easy to use, Setup was a bit hard for me, I almost returned this , glad I didn't . Another great product from Logitech, worth $80, I would not have paid the original price for this , which is like $250 but for $80 it was a steal!! I am still experimenting with this. I need to work on controlling some of my game systems. It works great with the XBOX ONE & XBOX 360. The PS4 is a bit of a problem. I have to do some researching on how to get this remote to work with the PS4, if possible?!

Easy to use and great design
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy to set up through the online tool. It's nice to be able to set up your favorite channels and customize the buttons. It fits well in the hand and has a nice docking station that doesn't take up much real estate on the end table.

Great remote, very intuitive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This remote is awesome! All of the programming is done online so it is easy to set up all the functions. The size is perfect, it fits nicely in your hand. It is so easy to use, even my in-laws can use it. The functions are programmable and if something in the sequence doesn't turn on then it will help you troubleshoot which component didn't work. It works with every component I have in my entertainment center and I didn't have to teach it any functions for any devices, they were all programmed already. I highly recommend this remote.

Nice Upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to the Harmony Touch. I love the size and functionality. I like that you can program your favorite channels in the remote. One main issue I have is that the battery life is not that long and there is no audible warning notification other than looking at the indicator on the screen. It just dies and needs immediate charging. Other than that it's a nice gadget to use in lieu of many remotes.

Good upgrade to Harmony One
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was skeptical about touch after reading so many negative reviews, so i gave it a try, my first impression after week of use is positive. From the time opening the box to turn on my tv was approx. 15 minutes, the new website brought all my settings from my harmony one account and remote was updated. I think logitech has to bring in a game changer in order to better the Harmony One, another big remote with button will not be able to cut it. So a touch screen like smart phone screen is logitech's answer, people who hate touch screen for remote will not like this remote and the other half will like it, that is why the review have so many 1 star and many 5 star not much in between. there is i like the forward and rewind gestures, there are gestures for volume up and down, i do see my self using hard button for these functions. I am not reviewing the programming about this remote as i did not change anything, i have very complicated system and took me a while to write the macros and customizations of buttons for my harmony One, most of my equipment has not changed, i will add some photos for screen saver though. there will be learning curve to use the touch screen, after this remote is definite upgrade to harmony one. i am already loving this remote as it is much smaller than harmony one. build quality is top notch as expected from logitech. i have owned 2 harmony One and Harmony 650. Harmony touch is replacement to one of the harmony touch which is dying with sticky buttons and swollen battery (lasted 5 years of heavy use and many drops), My family cannot use our entertainment systems without harmony remotes.

Some advantages/disadvantages compared to Harmony
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recommendation: If you buy the Harmony Touch (HTouch), get it from a store with a satisfaction guaranty so that you can return it if you find the less costly Harmony One (H1) more to your liking -- and I think most people will. There are two main difference between the HTouch and H1. The first is that many of the hard buttons have been moved to the touch screen. On the screen they are laid out in lists with sublists (or menus with submenus) so it's a little harder to find things that are buried one level lower down. The benefit of this is that the device is smaller. The second main difference is that the HTouch has favorites--up to 50 individual icon buttons for up to 50 TV channels so you can go directly to a Channel with one press. These are custom touchscreen buttons that imitate a person pressing numbers in sequence to change TV channels. The HTouch types them out rather slowly so you have to hold the unit steadily aimed as if you were typing the numbers yourself until the sequence is complete -- if you don't hold the Htouch steadily aimed then some portion of the sequence will be received by the cable box or TV so that say "828" works as "82" or "28" or just "8, etc. In fact, it's faster to type them yourself but some folks will prefer to use the favorites. There are several minor difference es that will matter more to some than to others. One other, minor, difference is that, to program the H1 you started software on your PC which then took you online. With the HTouch you go online via a web browser. The first time it will download software, but this is only a temporary program used to isntall the hardware driver. Thereafter, you go online rather than using software on your PC like the H1. Another minor difference is that the Htouch does not have a replaceable battery like the H1. You're expected to find the device obsolete before it needs a new battery. The H1 has a motion detector so that it wakes up/lights up when you pick it up. The HTouch requires a button press or screen tap to come wake up. Lastly, you have to get to the main screen to reach the device button on the HTouch. When you press OFF with one of the remotes, if it is not aimed correctly, then one of the devices #TV, sound amplifier, Cable box# might not turn off. With the H1, you press device, select the device and select the power off button. With the HTouch, you turn the activity #and all its devices# back on and try turning it off again or drill down. Also note that all touch screen buttons feel the same. Dedicated buttons can be sculpted or arranged so that you can find them without looking -- not so the touch screen buttons. There are dedicated and touch screen buttons on both the HTouch and H1, but many more HTouch buttons are on the touch screen. Other than that just about anything you can do with one you can do with the other and do so with just a button press #or tap# or two. It's true that some adjustments can be made directly on the remote without hooking it up to your PC but once you have the remote set up, that is of little consequence and therefore, not a major difference; not something you will appreciate for more than a few minutes during the lifetime of the device. If those differences are worth a $100 to you, then get a HTouch instead of a H1. For most folks, I don't think the differences will be worth it and they will be as happy or happier with a H1 and save $100 to boot. Overall,I'd say the H1 is the superior remote while Htouch has a couple of nice improvements that don't make up for its shortfalls. Touch screens are really in fashion -- they're hip, now, today! ;) Well, seriously, they can have advantages but terrible disadvantages too and on the HTouch the screen amply has both. You get a lot of buttons in a smaller space but you can't always tap #or swipe# what you want). Logitech doesn't yet understand touch screens and human fingers; the HTouch screen, like that on the H1, is much too small for too many people. Cell phone makers learned this lesson a few years ago and Apple eventually learned this lesson on its phones and recently came out with bigger screens -- this isn't just an advantage for watching movies in what is still a really tiny format but also an advantage for human fingers to easily maneuver around the buttons without accidentally overlapping onto the wrong buttons. Remember those folks you knew that had the early tinier touch screens cell phones that were so often fiddling with miss-taps and pretending they didn't mind because touch screens were so cool? Welcome to Logitech touchscreens. Everyone got wiser except Logitech, who is still off its game in this regard. When you try to swipe you will sometimes be read as tapping; expert swipers learn to overcome this. But skill can't shrink your fingers; too often when you tap one button you will be read as tapping another. This is annoying enough to make you want to forget about swiping and tapping and look up some new four letter words to freshen your vocabulary. If you buy the HTouch, get it from a store with a satisfaction guaranty so that you can return it if you find the less costly H1 more to your liking.

I love this remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used many Logitech Harmony remotes over the years and this is by far my favorite. It fits perfectly in my hand and unlike others, I have no problems reaching the top buttons. I love that you can make changes to the remote on the remote without having to always plug it into your computer. It is great that it comes with a charging cradle, and has battery icon as well as the time on the touch screen. You can lock the touchscreen so you have to swipe to unlock which comes in handy. This remote is better than I hoped.

Stay Away
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was really pumped for this smaller/sleeker remote. It is a total nightmare for DVR, with the FF buttons way to high on the remote. I have gotten used to the skip forward and skip backward function and was able to assign those to the touch screen. Unfortunately you have to hit the touch screen once to light it up and then those buttons work 50% of the time. Maybe I have gotten spoiled with how good my cell phone’s touch screen is, but this is brutal. Returning it tomorrow to get the 900, it is on sale at Best Buy luckily. Bummer Logitech.
