The ads for MagicJack are so bad I thought it was a gimmick. I was wrong. This is great. I need a home phone because cell reception is really bad in certain roomed. For about $40 per year you get a home phone with free long distance. Trivial to setup.

This is my second Magic Jack and both have performed flawlessly. $20 porting was a bit high but overall still saving money from moving the "home" phone to Magic Jack. Web portal can use some work. Mobile apps are ok. But overall happy with the Magic Jack system. Would make it "excellent" if it offered a way for me to connect my SIP phones to their system.

I've used MJ for the past 7 years. I got a total of 4 for me and my family. I just bought another one for our Church. We saved over $80 monthly from our Church phone Bill.

I like the way it sends missed calls to your email so you can check messages away from home. It does cut out if there is any blip in the internet

I so wish I would have done this a long time ago. I always want to maintain a land line just for places that require a number for an account because I do not want random places to have my cell. This works great and the yearly price is what I was paying per month with AT&T, plus I could port and maintain the number I have had for years. Highly recommend.

I have been using Magic Jack Go for 2 years now & I just purchased one for my friend who was going abroad for a couple of years, so we could talk for free while she is away. Great product, works just like a normal phone & you can transfer your number over to it too. When I am away from home , my cell phone rings via its app. Better than all traditional phone services.

You want to lower your phone bill? I suggest you get a magic jack. Wish I would have done this sooner. I was surprised on how clear the reception is.

Works okay without the computer but does not work with windows 8. One of these days I will figure out how to clear the mailbox but not today.

Have had Magic Jack for over a month now with little to no problems. Depending on the internet connection sometimes there's a slight echo but not enough to be annoying. The only thing that surprised me was that they neglect to tell you that there's a 911 surcharge that you'll be billed seperatly via email only after you set everything up.

I love the fact that I can have a home phone for only $35 a year.

plugged it into my laptop for setup then connected it to my wireless router and a cordless phone base unit at which point all phones had a dial tone and were ready to go. Great solution for calling the US and Canada for free and other countries for a fraction of regular calling cost I have never had any problems with it whatsoever. Buy one and you will very happy with the service.

I can't seem to give up my land line just yet but hate to pay alot to have the line. This seemed like a good option to still have a home phone at a reasonable price. It has been good so far and I am happy with the purchase.

This is easy to setup if you’re buying your first magicjack. But if you’re replacing an old one it’s not clear at all how to do that and your account login at the magicjack website doesn’t help much. Probably easiest just to call their help line. Once setup it has good call quality on a good internet connection.
