Great washer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love it! Bought with matching dryer. It’s big and has a lot of settings for the type of wash you’re doing. Has sensors for the weight and water level needed. Clothes come out clean. I use pods so it rinses thoroughly. Have not needed to use 2nd rinse cycle. Handled a comforter with no problem. We use the fast spin option to get the clothes wrung out as much as possible so that they spend less time drying. It was necessary to use zip ties on the drain hose and water lines since our space in a laundry closet is limited. If they touch the back of the washer, they will bang against it during the spin cycle and will make a lot of noise. The zip ties did the trick and a U-clamp on the drain hose prevented rattling also. With the laundry closet doors closed, the washer is fairly quiet and this is important because it’s right next to our living room. This model was also a best pick by Consumer Reports.

Great Washing Machine
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced my 13 year old Whirlpool with this Maytag and simply love it. The washer washes in both directions and has the capability to fill with the amount of clothes in the machine. Very easy to operate.

Love my New Maytag 4.7
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was not our 1st choice. Now, it is was the Best Choice. But, with the shortage of washing machines available because of the factory slowdown due to Covid. We needed a machine, ours had died, and this was the one that met all my needs and more, a Bonus for us. And I am so glad I went back to a top load machine vs front load. The first load I washed was of our bathroom towels and the first thing my Husband said to me was "Wow these towels smell so clean and so soft"! Love all the options, controlling water levels, Spin, and more! We have had it for over a month and we are Happy Campers! Bernardos, Wife! :)

Great washer automated features
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this washer about one month ago and have been so pleased with it. Love the sensing feature where the washer senses the size of the load and adds the correct amount of water for the load size. Also the automatic soap and fabric softener dispenser Is a great feature. Soap and softener dispensed at the right time. Not to mention the washer and dryer look nice and fit in the smallest of laundry rooms.

Great Maytag Washing Machine
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this Maytag top loading Washer and matching Maytag Gas Dryer to our first floor 18 months ago and couldn't be happier with having flawless operation of both machines. These are both "Smart machines" with the Maytag APP on our phones allowing us to monitor the cycle times or alerting the finish times. We especially like the add a garment feature and the overall looks of this machine.

Outstanding performance
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed a large washer and it had to be with an agitator. This washer is probably the best I’ve ever owned. Quiet, easy to use and cleans extremely well. Number 1 is that it’s made in the USA employing American workers with a TEN year warranty. That tells me it was built well!

Fancy Washer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this washer to replace an old Whirlpool, which had its agitator go out. Really wanted an agitator washer, but had read lots of reviews that said modern washers never fill with enough water, and that modern agitators don't really do what you expect them to, sometimes shredding clothes that never get fully wet, or don't have enough water to move around in freely. I saw a few favorable reviews on this one, as well as from third-party sites that reviewed appliances, and this one seemed to rank high. The thing that eventually sold me on it was the deep fill settings. It can be a little confusing, as certain wash cycles don't allow max water fill, but the deep fill definitely allows enough water for the clothes to move freely. It's not completely to the top of the tub, but it's plenty for clothes to float around in (provided you don't overstuff the tub). I feel the extra movement and water volume allows for a better clean, and helps prevent damage to clothes if they can't really swish around. The agitator also seems to work fairly well. While clothes don't get turned over rapidly, it does eventually turn them over after a few minutes. The clothes on the bottom will get drawn to the top, and the clothes on top will be drawn under. Perhaps not the most efficient agitator, but it does what it's intended to do over the course of the wash cycle. (Certainly better than not having an agitator at all!) There's an impeller at the bottom, too, so combined with the agitator, there's a lot of movement. The downside to the impeller is it can sometimes twist clothes, but it hasn't caused any real issues in the month I've been using this washer. One downside is there is no built-in faucet, so to pre-dissolve oxy powders and the like, or pretreat stains, you need to go to a separate sink. The glass lid is a bit of a moot feature as, even on cool temperature setting, the glass tends to get a bit foggy, so you can't quite see the contents of the tub anyway. It still gives it a modern and sleek appearance, though. On the positive side, the lid also has two "up" positions, one fully open, and one about 3/4 open. This allows free access to overhead cabinets, room to open the doors, while keeping the lid up. As far as the "Extra Power" button goes, I'm not entirely certain what it actually does. When I push it, I do notice that it adds a few minutes to the wash duration. Maybe it makes the agitator spin faster, or more rotations per minute? I'm not a scientist. Regardless of the exact technology, I'm sure the few extra minutes of agitating does help to some degree. One thing I've noticed, which is slightly concerning, is when the washer is sensing the load, and doing its pre-wash, pre-rinse "test" spins, the inner tub can sometimes hit the walls/shell of the washer, which is fully visible and audible as the metal gets pushed out. So far it's not a severe problem, no dents or damage or anything of that nature. The sensor seems to do a good job at making adjustments to balance it before it gets out of control. If the auto-balance sensor and mechanism ever do go out, though, I imagine it could be quite a big problem. I really like that it has a dedicated detergent and softener tray. As part of the tub filling, the water is pushed through those tray compartments at the appropriate point in the wash cycle. I like that the wash liquids get mixed and diluted with water a bit before being added to the load. One drawback to the tray, however, is that there will still be a bit of water in it after the wash has completed. If left this way, it can take on a mildew smell, as the tray does not have enough air circulation to allow for adequate evaporation of the water inside. It's simple enough to slide the tray out and dump the water, or to use a freshly washed sock to absorb the excess water before tossing it in the dryer, but is certainly an extra step to keep in mind. This washer was a bit on the pricy side, but I think it was worth it. Hopefully it will serve me well for another decade, as my last washer did.

Couldn't be happier with this washer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this washer for a month now. I wash at least one load a day and I have never been more happy with a washing machine. It cleans our clothes so well (2 dirt loving boys) which may sound obvious, but our last washer I purchased brand new and had 5 years never cleaned our clothes well. I was hesitant about the digital controls because I think more simple will last longer, but they have been a breeze to use. Love the app feature that lets me know when my cycle is complete on my phone since my machine is in the garage, so I can go switch the clothes over to dryer. Saving my pennies for the matching dryer. My requirements when researching a new washer were, I wanted a Maytag (my last was not, still a good company, but I wanted the reliability, then I wanted a center agitator, my last did not have and I wanted top load and larger drum capacity than my previous model. That is what lead me to this model. I would purchase again in a heart beat and would give it a 10 so far. I am only a month in so I hope I will feel the same a year in.

Great washer
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, so good. This machine replaced a Samsung that had all kinds of problems. So far we are really liking our new Maytag. It’s easy to use, cleans good, clothes are not tangled in the agitator, and it has a cool app that tells you when your wash has completed! And... it comes with a 10 year warranty on some of its parts!

Very good modern machine that cleans well
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our older washer suddenly developed a problem with the bearings, and it was time to buy a new one. I read some reviews and finally decided that this Maytag had what I needed, and with a sale at the time, the price was reasonable, relatively speaking. I liked the agitator because our older one did not have one, and it became unbalanced fairly regularly. I also thought the app-based notification would be nice since our washer is in the basement. Delivery and installation were great, and the machine immediately went to work. Using it was fairly intuitive, and the results were very impressive when compared with our old machine, though we thought the old one did just fine! The new is a definite improvement. Noise is decent, though it's not "quiet," and we've washed some larger items with good success. I still haven't used the app notifications though! Once thing that was nice is that it's smaller than our previous Whirlpool Platinum machine, both in height and width. The glass lid is nice to see what's actually happening rather than just guessing at the mysterious process inside. Only downside is that water seems to sit in the detergent dispenser tray after each cycle. I'm not sure if adjusting the feet on the bottom would fix it (ie., tilting the machine toward the back). It's not a huge problem because the tray pops right out and back in for draining, but it seems like a small design flaw. Other than that, we're very happy. Hopefully the old dryer holds out!

Satisfied Purchaser
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this machine for five months and so far so good. I especially like that it has an agitator. Items come out much cleaner than they did with my previous impeller-type washer. It also has not gotten unbalanced once so far - not even when washing small rugs - whereas my previous washer did so more often than not. It can be a bit noisy at certain times within a cycle - but that doesn't bother me. I would recommend this machine.

Gotta love a Maytag!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Keeping in mind our old Maytag washer was 20 years old and never had any problems with it I never considered anything but a Maytag to replace it. They have been some changes in all these years though. I never expected a cycle of clothes to take an hour to complete. Wasn't sure I needed remote access, but I tried it out. I had also read the reviews about it being excessively noisy. First the noise issue, it is a different noise than I was used to because of the different method in which it fills, washes and spins but noisier, I think not in fact quieter than the old one. The longer cycle time is taking some time getting used to, but I understand it now and the clothes are coming out cleaner than ever before and they do not take near the time in the dryer as they used to. The remote access is nice when it works, load it in the morning and start it before I leave work and when I get home pull them out and into the dryer. The problem is that I am having to constantly reload the app because it will not connect, and I have not produced a reason it does this. And it always does this when I need the time the most. Overall, it looks good, has a huge wash load capability, and works like a champ!! I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Amazing washer!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first major appliance purchase and I couldn't be happier. Every washing machine I've ever had has been an older, used machine. This Maytag had just been released. Apparently appliances have seasons and washer and dryers come out in the Fall. Top loading is far superior to a front loader and this one has a see through lid which is fun. Front loaders stink and create mildew. It also has an agitator which is key. Don't let them sell you on a washer without an agitator. I also love that its not very efficient so it actually gets your clothes clean. We had an efficient washer before and it totally sucked. The clothes never got clean and the dryer never had any lint because of the poor cleaning. I'll save the environment in other ways, but not with a washing machine. Clothes come out super clean and the lint trap in the dryer is full every time so you know your clothes are clean. Its extremely quiet and it doesn't dance around the laundry room or vibrate or make any weird noises. You can also control it from the Maytag app on your phone which is convenient. Good stuff! Highly recommend.
