This keyboard is excellent for what I need it for. The throw of the keys (including the bounce from them) is longer than a laptop but not as much as a traditional keyboard. I really like it the distance a LOT. The connectivity is excellent -- with my typing appearing instantly on screen. I didn't think I'd like the 10-key and wish Microsoft had a non-10-key offering, but it's actually quite useful and doesn't take up too much space. It looks great on my desk and has functioned flawlessly. Highly recommend!

Great wireless keyboard, i had to have a ten key and this keyboard is so light an the batterys last almost a year its awesome

This is my favorite portable keyboard so far. The Keys are spaced out just perfectly to type without getting all tangled up and making a lot of mistakes. I have older fingers and find that laptop keyboards are a pain to type on. Everything about this keyboard is comfortable and easy to use. BUT no backlit keys? Not rechargeable? Come on microsoft you should know better.

I use this with my Microsoft Surface Laptop. Nice to have the expanded keyboard. Sleek design.

This is a solid keyboard that looks like an apple keyboard. The battery life is solid and the thin design looks great. No issues yet

This keyboard is EXACTLY what I wanted aesthetically. Unfortunately, it just didn't seem to work with my computer. I don't have Bluetooth natively on my computer and was using a USB dongle, so I'm not sure who's to blame, but there was some aggrivating latency. I'm a pretty fast typer and use a lot of "hotkey" commands in the programs I use. The latency proved too much to deal with so I had to return it.

I came from an original IBM Model M. Finally wanted something with a smaller footprint and quieter, as I now have to share my office with someone who is displaced from their usual spot. I picked up this keyboard on the strength of recommendations online. It's startlingly good, with an excellent feel and a good layout. My one nitpick is that the function key mode is not visible, since the light goes out to save battery.

They keyboard is very nice and responsive. I enjoy typing on it. Keyboard spacing is nice. The one issue I have experience with the keyboard, and I know others have commented on the issue is that there seems to be an intermittent power loss to the keyboard, especially when the computer goes to sleep. It happens randomly where there will be no power to the keyboard at all. I'll hit a few keys and eventually the keyboard wakes up. Not sure what that is all about. I would give it 5 starts if it wasn't for that issue.

Not much more to say... great feeling, great battery life, great quality. Best keyboard I've owned in the past 30 years.

Love this keyboard. Been using an old wired keyboard, but the keys were getting sticky and not responding to typing. Decided to get a keyboard that matched my surface and boy what a difference. Love the feel of the keys. Wish I had done sooner, but was great was it went on Sale at Best Buy.

I was using a wired mechanical keyboard and recently purchased a surface pro as my main machine. I was wanting to go all in on Microsoft and purchased this keyboard. Great feeling keys, great size and works pretty well overall. I have recently had an issue with the keyboard disconnecting randomly. I have searched for answers on this online and can't find anything that will help. That's my only drawback on it right now.

I have a Surface Book 2, Surface Pen, Surface Mouse, and so why did I get the Surface Keyboard? Because when I am drawing in tablet mode, I still need a comfortable, accessible keyboard to use hot keys with. This keyboard delivers and then some. It’s fantastic feeling, connecting the device was a breeze. The keys click beautifully, and it just matches so well with my setup. A beautiful keyboard worth the price.

I love how thin and tiny it looks while still being a full sized keyboard. The keys don’t make a lot of sound l, which I really love too

I love the build quality and feel of the keys on this device, but it periodically loses the Bluetooth connection to my Surface Pro 4. I have a Bluetooth mouse which remains connected 100% of the time so I don't think it is the Surface Pro 4, it is something with the keyboard. Near the point of chucking it and getting something else.
