This is my second surface I have owned. The first I5 model has been really good so I decided to buy another one and opted for the new 1tb model. As it is a great laptop, I would probably buy the Pro I5 model if I were to do it again. It is about half the cost and doesn't have a fan. This I7 model still has a fan that can be noisy and the case still gets hot when pushing the laptop with multiple or intense programs. The laptop also doesn't give me the advertised battery time, and in fact it is really close to last years I5 when side by side. The other thing I would like to see with the Surface line up is a built in GPS. Other than the items mentioned above , it is a great product and would still recommend it to any advanced user.

I got the top model available, i7 with 1TB SSD, to replace my Surface 3 Pro 256 GB. In short: better performance (if you find a every day application to tell the difference), better camera with face auto recognition, better battery, slimmer case. All the rest seems very similar. I thought I would notice a higher resolution of the screen - nah... You should really focus into it to conclude its better in the new model. I would say I miss windows button on the case - that's one of few things which made Surface series looks so Microsoft and aside of other laptops on the market. I still recommend this product as this is the convenient top quality and performance transformer mobile pc. 4 stars out of 5: the price hurts

It is fast, great looking, light, Even the touch pad works pretty good. I had the surface 2, surface 3, surface 4 and each one gets better and better. the surface pro is an accumulation of all and then some. If you want a great computer, get the surface pro.

I've had my Surface Pro i7, 1TB laptop now for about a month and cannot say enough good things about it. I originally purchased the i5, 128GB model and returned it within 3 days as I had already filled the hard drive and switched to this model. With all my software installed it takes 11 seconds from hitting the power button to ready to go!! Everything is amazingly fast, and the versatility of having a tablet with a full computer integrated into it is phenomenal. I did bite the bullet and bought the keyboard with integrated fingerprint reader as well as the new Surface Pen. It truly blows my mind that for this price point these aren't already included with the Surface, which is a HUGE ding against MS in my opinion. That being said, I love using the pen for taking notes in meetings, etc. The sensitivity is incredible. The price tag for this model is high in my opinion, but I've already handed my iPad to my daughter as I'm pretty well in love with this computer! (shhhh... don't tell my wife ;-) I do recommend it to those who need the storage capacity and have little patience for lag time like myself.

I wanted additional storage capacity and the new 1tb is perfect. Gave my old Pro to my sales group to use. I used to carry a laptop around and this makes traveling so much easier.

Surface Pro 2017, Went ahead and went with the I7-7th gen processor and terabyte hd replaced 17" Laptop the is much more flexible and faster than the older gen I7, the docking station makes it great to bring back to office and single hookup to desk monitors and keyboard.

One of the best computers available on the market. Love the capacity. Portability. A bit pricey. Works well with the Brydge keyboard.

I purchased this to replace an early 2011 Macbook pro, so I'm still getting used to the idea of a Windows machine again. The hardware feels very well built - it's a sturdy construction, and a crystal clear display. Two things to note: theres a growing group of people who have had issues with the device randomly going to sleep in the middle of work. Microsoft seems to be working on it, and they're not quite sure if it's the new hardware, or a software problem, or a combination thereof. The other thing is that you can take Microsoft's 13 hour battery life claim and throw it right out the window. I've noticed during normal mixed usage (and of course, everyone's version of "normal" is going to be different) I get 4-6 hours of battery.

Do you need a light weight but power laptops. This is a good option. Thin easy to carry. We use them for many different functions including replacing those desktops on desks.

I love how light and easy to use the computer is. I am learning the touch screen but the overall product is pretty intuitive.

Excellent product. Pros= incredible performance, extreme portability, great screen, a true two in one. Cons= Price tag!

Powerful and portable. Using just one device makes my life so much smoother and my tote bag lighter. Great syncing with my Samsung Galaxy Note.

This tablet is easy to set up, easy to use and blazing fast. Noticeable difference over my old laptop.

I enjoy the ease and multiple ways I can use the Surface Pro. Tablet with touchscreen when no room for a keyboard, keyboard when prefer the access a keyboard provides. My only complaint is that I took the associate's word for it that the stylus was included when I ordered. I think tablet function will be greatly improved for me once I obtain a stylus.

Work well,very portable loads programs seamlessly.

Bought the Surface Pro with 1TB ssd and it's the best thing I bought all year. I used to haul around a laptop and an iPad...the iPad to watch movies and surf the net while traveling. This Surface is the best of both worlds: I use it as my personal laptop, and when I travel, I put the keyboard away and use it like I used my iPad, for surfing and movies, etc.

Outstanding tablet works great portable, fast. and great apps

This piece of equipment with all the attachments I bought are exactly what I need to go directly from art to digital printing. I was unable to find a better deal (knowing what I wanted) and Microsoft was out of stock apparently. Freight was free!

This tablet laptop hybrid is not the cheapest, but it is amazing. This is a full desktop replacement in tablet form. You need the keyboard and pen to really get the most out of it, but it perfect for those trying to be productive on the go.
